I started playing through FEAR last night, it was ok, I don't know why people complain about the 360 version.

Really does add to the immersion factor which that game is all about.
And it rips quite nicely too.
I'm sure there's other stuff in the new PC trailer that shows it off more.

Oh I remember it. It was an awesome scene until the shotgun went off XD Too bad New Testament was the worst Bible Black series. Bible Black Only ftw!

I need to figure out what games I want for Christmas, and what ones I'm going to buy myself...

seems like this is the first real game to use physX effects. I'll probably pick it up when it gets down to $30 or so.

also, this thread is awkward now. I joke around about bible black, futanari, and hentai stuff, since I think it's pretty hilarious and not sexy at all (anti-sexy?) but um....we got some fans up in here...

Mirrors Edge looks ok, but it's a $20 or less game for me.

whatever, day 1 for me. Of course it's $20...they bled money on it for a couple years and people are going to eat it up regardless. I'm getting for free anyway thanks to the car sweepstakes.

Bionic Commando was twice the new game SSF2THDR is and it was only $10!

On the last chapter of Mirror's Edge. That game is almost good. The combat is TERRIBLE and the ledge grabs are sketchy and don't always work like you want.

Seriously, that level on the fucking boat made me almost turn the damn thing off. There should not have been any combat in this game. I'm trying to play it without using guns. Then there's these bullshit parts where you could just run away from a group of enemies, if not for the conveniently placed crank that needs to be turned, or pipe that needs to be climbed, assuring that if you do run, you'll be shot in seconds.

Platforming and climbing puzzles are great, though.

Also, cartoon porn is not normal. It's about as awesome as making love to a realdoll. They're both just as humanlike. Grow up, kiddos.
 
Hey GGT!

Haven't checked in here in awhile so I thought I'd pop in and see if everyone was behaving themselves.

I'm looking forward to playing Mirror's Edge. I won the game in a contest last week over at gamepodunk.com. There's still 1 copy left to give away this Friday if anyone wants to enter. There's less than two dozen entries now, so its not impossible. And you can join the Podunk community while you're there!

Anyway, as for games, I finally beat Persona 3 FES: The Answer the other day and its gotten me totally excited for P4. Can't fucking wait. And I beat Castlevania OoE. Good game, not as good as DoS, but better than PoR.

Also, I've started Valkyria Chronicles. So far, it is an AWESOME game and I highly recommend it.

Lastly, as for PC gaming, A Vampyre Story is now out for download HERE for $29.99. My GF downloaded it last night, but I haven't had a chance to play it yet. In case you don't remember, its a point-and-click adventure game developed by many of the old LucasArts gang. There's also a demo available HERE.

I almost grabbed it yesterday, but just couldn't at $60. The last two games were really fun though, so I'm assuming this one is as well.

fucking last level of fucking mirror's edge is PISSING ME OFF.

I'm doing the thing where you can't shoot folks. So it's very frustrating.

I also wish I could change my name, but that's what I signed up for back in 2004. It was just to look at deals, didn't think I'd post on the forums much.
 
It's easy jerjer.

My first run was on Normal with no runner vision and no guns.
Second run will be on Hard but this time, I will take advantage of the sniper rifle and machine gun. :)

I got pretty good at taking out squads of guys with melee.
Just got to seperate them which takes a bit of practice.

The server room. The only real bitch part is that last fucker who stands on the catwalk with his machine gun out. He will not move and it seems totally random how many shots it takes for him to kill me. Usually he decides it's just one.

It's frustrating in a bad way, but I realize I'm not playing the game the normal way it should be played.

Just run straight at him. I found that if you try to zig zag your way towards him, it takes longer and he'll shoot more, making it a higher chance of dying.

When you get there, put bullet time on, and disarm him. He takes too many punches.
 
Run loopy loops around servers, run up catwalk, hit with slide kick or jump kick so he's down for a second and run into elevator.

Are you playing on Hard? One hit shouldn't kill you.

im especially lookin for a good leveling mod since i heard vanilla oblivions leveling sucks
