So...for the first time in almost 11 months, I decided to play some Call of Duty 4. It's fun with friends, otherwise...uh...not so much. I guess it's because I suck royally at it. I went from a 2 to a 7 in about 90 minutes or so. I had to force myself to use 1 gun because I wanted the Red Dot Sight for it, which I got. I'll probably play it a bit more in the following days I guess.

Target is selling Guitar Hero 3 game only for $20 and Circuit City is selling the GH2 guitar for $10. Both can be ordered online right now.
 
Happy Black Friday GGT. Get them gaming deals while you can!

Only thing I picked up was Fallout 3 off Amazon's sale. I've already got tons of other games on the backlist so that should do me for awhile. Except for Persona 4, that will probably be all the major video game purchases for me for the rest of the year, unless something pops up at a spectacular deal.
 
So the Amazon stuff sold out pretty quick.

Was awake at 5am so I decided to go ahead and get the stuff I wanted then go back to bed.

I only remembered about Boom Blox just now, but it's gone. Nevermind, I never play the Wii anyway.
 
Crap GGT. My dad got laid off. Normally my Dad spoils us rotten but we are cutting back this year. What 1 game should I get this Christmas? So far all I've picked up this Fall has been Resistance 2 and Little Big Planet. I am thinking Persona 4 or Fallout 3. I didn't like playing Fallout on my PC so if I get it it will be for PS3. Any other ideas for a game on the triple.

can ur pc run it well?
if it can theres no reason not to get it since u can use ur 360 controller and connect it to ur tv on top of it having achievements theres like no reason not to get it if ur pc can run it ok

not sure if theres dualshock support if thats what u want

I'm not a CAG even though I post here. I want a game, I buy it when it comes out. Though it does help that I'm able to sign everything out before I purchase it, and I get an automatic 15% off.

Trying before buying is nice for sure., plus that discount too.

I'll pay full price if I really want something. If I'm not totally pumped up for it, I'll wait for a price drop or sale. I'll throw down the big bucks for SFIV, Tekken 6, and RE5 next year, because I know they'll kick ass and I'll play them a ton. But some things I'm not so sure about, I'll wait and see.
 
That Prince of Persia IGN review was so suspect. The text said in a very roundabout way that the game plays itself and the graphics are the best part...then gave it a 9.3. On top of that, it's an early review written by Hilary "oscar worthy" Goldstein. Some might remember the Assassin's Creed fiasco...

in any case, if it's actually a good game and the PC version is done well (lol ubi), I'll get it.
 
Picked up some deals from Amazon. Got Crisis Core, MGS Portable and PS3 Component cables (the ones I have make like 6 million lines through the TV and its really annoying to play or watch anything, especially Blu-rays. Hopefully official Sony Cables will fix it (even though they're all the same). Its the only thing on my TV that does it.Going to see if I can nab a copy of Infinite Undiscovery. Seems like a great nab for $20.
 
Nintendo is the best, mang. They did it.

My parents (who are in their 40s), bought a Wii today.

Nintendo am confirmed to be a shell of their former selves.

i got rez hd and im thinkin about catan or assault heroes
if anyone wants to try co op for assault heroes i'll likely get it
 
Assault Heroes is pretty good.

My Blackula Friday purchases were -

From Amazon - Personal Trainer: Cooking for DS ($10), Mercury Meltdown Revolution($10), and a Hori DS game Case($5).

From Best Buy - Simpsons Season 7 for $10, and a $50 wireless router as a christmas present for my girlfriend's mom.

I WAS going to get Civ Rev for DS at ShameStop, but all they had was a gutted copy, and I told them I would only pay new prices for a new copy of the game, not an opened one. "BUBUBUUBUBU It is NEW" no, it's not new. It's not any newer than the used copy that's on the shelf. It's used. Suck it up, gamestop. NO other retailer guts copies of their games, there's no excuse for you to either.

Learn to design your stores better or something, but they really need to stop fucking opening up brand new games. No excuses.

Holy shit, Valkyria Chronicles is fucking awesome! I'd say it's the best thing I've played on the PS3 so far. The demo really blew me away.

About how long is Digital Devil Saga? Just started that today (about two hours in) after blowing through the end of Soul Nomad this morning. If it's in the 50 hour range, I guess I might finish it by New Year's since I have 9 vacation days next month.

Panic Attack is a marathon on Rock Band 2. I love Dream Theater, though.
