Wow, I'm salivating at the thought of Mother 3 on my itouch. I don't feel like putting the effort in to doing it tonight, but I will tomorrow.

The controls look playable, certainly good enough for an RPG like Mother 3, but I can't see an action game working too well.
 
The battles are very timing based, but otherwise yeah pretty simple.

I still like playing it on my GB Micro better.
 
GB Micro is awesome. I've carried mine to work every night for the past 2.5 years and maybe play it 10-15 minutes. Almost the whole time, I've kept the same game in it, Fire Emblem Something Stones. I just started on my 3rd play-thru a month or so ago. :D

I didn't get around to playing any games yesterday because I went to bed early. I'll have to remedy that today.

Anyone got any big plans for tonight? I was invited to 3 new year's parties, but me and the lady have decided that we'll just chill here at the crib and enjoy it quietly with a bottle of pink champagne and a couple movies.

Husband and I'll be at his parents' house, getting the rest of our Christmas presents. We'll be arriving late, though, so possibly no presents until tomorrow. Either way, a similarly quiet evening :)

I was gonna go to NYC with some friends but they decided to go up without a ride back and I wasn't in the mood for an adventure this year. :lol: Got too much going on between holidays, birthdays, pending applications, and shit like that, so I can't really up and leave right now. So I'm gonna play board games with my sister, her husband, and my niece and nephew tonight.

It's a shitty iPhone game. I'm about to acquire it. I'll tell yall how it is.

So should I keep one of these copies of Outrun? It looks like a pretty fun game for ten bones.
 
Finally beat Rondo (the second time) in Eternal Sonata. Two more bosses and I'm done.

Oh, and you all better be drinking already if you aren't working. I am.

Started Trauma Center: New Blood yesterday. Early on it doesn't seem more difficult than the first, other than that what I thought was a near-perfect execution gave me a B.

Thinking I might crack open Disgaea DS while football's on today.

I started playing No More Heroes again and I like it a lot more this time around...maybe I was expecting too much the first time around (as I often do with newer games.) Switching to first person view on the motorcycle makes it a hell of a lot easier to control, the jobs don't seem as bad, and the action is actually really, really good and fun.

And on the "games as art" front, I can see what people mean when they say it's a parody of gaming culture.
 
Cool stuff man. I was at Best Buy the other day and I saw some really tall guy who looked like your avatar walking through the games section. Did you work Monday? I was bummed that there were no more copies of CoDWaW.

I haven't played anything besides NMH and Killer 7. I hear his other games are even more odd and less accessible. Glad they're working on NMH2! Would love Killer 8 too, but that game sold two copies--one to me and one to Rolento, I think.

I got one too. I love Killer 7.
 
The parody in NMH backfired on me. I love the art style, the irreverance, the general themes and goals it aspires to, but the execution is poor, from the gameplay to some of the overall design. Hopefully NMH2 will improve on those aspects, maybe use the better Wii controls. There's also Mad World...

Nope, but I work friday from 7pm onwards. I'm only 6 foot or 5'11, so I'm not that tall. There is a guy that works in Media that is 6-foot-7.
 
Oooh, Demon's Soul will have English on the Asian version, import time!

I've had several nights (and long days at work the next day) for the same reason with Oblivion. Fire it up with intentions of doing a quest or two and end up playing until 2, 3 or 4 am.

These games are like crack.
