What sucks is that if this had happen a month or two ago I would be covered under warranty. Hopefully I'll be able to convince SONY to fix it for free since it's close to the warranty. But I doubt it..

My friend's PS3 did the same exact thing. Time to give Sony a call.
My friend's PS3 also died. (drive)
He was out of warranty too, by a month or so, but they still covered the repair.
Give 'em a call.

No DRE's for me........ phew.
I think I'm really lucky with systems, save for the Wii.
Third one is dying now.
back from puerto rico... tired as hell but playing rack band 2 with one of my arms asleep since I slept on it when I took a nap earlier today >_<

Verdict of this Trip to Puerto Rico :

- Food is amazing, but will make you fat in no time
- Everywhere I go I see women that are/look like pornstars. I'm not kidding when I say all you see when outside there is female flesh and very nice ass more abundant than water.
- MILF Latinas everywhere

so what did I learn? Puerto Ricans have great food and asses.
If I lived in Miami, I'd be in Puerto Rico all the time.

I have tons of family there. My uncle owns an airline with a fleet of jets that specializes in charter flights to and from Miami and San Juan. He's pretty loaded, so he lets my family stay in one of his many homes when we go. Beautiful place, you can easily drink when you're underage (was a big plus for me when I was underage) and they server liquor 24/7, not to mention the beautiful ladies.

The only negative is that it's the most humid place I've ever been in all my life, and that tropical bugs scare the shit out of me.

SNES.

Free at last, free at last, good god almighty I am free at last. I like P4 and all, but it's finally time to move on to other games. I know I said this after P3, but I really hope P5 isn't another 100 hour game.

Oh sweet, I hope this ends up like Luminess madness. I made some good dough on that. and I'm almost all out of dough.

I agree with your take on NMH too. It's imperfect, but now that I'm past its problems, it's a really great game. My biggest gripes are the level design (the levels seem to get shorter and simpler) and of course, the money grind. Can't wait for the sequel!
SW:TFU can be frustrating to the point of controller-throwing. There are moments when you'll get stuck in a never-ending series of enemy hits that you can't break or reverse out of, sort of but not quite like what happens in Lost Colonies. Then there are also some bizarre graphical bugs where your avatar will completely disappear, and some just sloppy design choices overall. Really too bad, 'cause when the game clicks, it's fun as hell.

I'm thinking of dumping this game. :/
Dumping the game is something you probably won't regret. I played up to the Star Destroyer part and said fuck it after trying to pull that damn thing down for three hours. It's a wicked neat game. A lot of good ideas present. But poor execution really hinders the games over all enjoyment factor.

Let's see if I can work my way back in to this thread now...

You do know they set warranties to end just before there is the most risk of the product breaking right? So good luck trying to get them to fix it for free:roll:

Holy shit, guys.

My stick is the best thing ever! I've never used anything other than american parts and the shitty $40 Hori EX2 stick.

These sanwa buttons are just amazing, and the stick is so precise. Going to be playing a lot more Super Turbo now. I can do Chun's super reliably too.. that's a bitch on a D-Pad.

Played a little bit of Deus Ex this morning. Just did the tutorial to get used to the controls and stuff. I'll start the campaign in earnest later.

But I'm gonna try and put some major time into Person 4 today and tomorrow so that I can be done with it. I think I'm getting to where pete5883 is, where I really do love the game but it's getting time to move on.

Please refrain from posting pics of you 'playing with your stick' in the GGT plz.

I like the music in Suikoden. Too bad it plays like a 16-bit RPG. But for a buck or 2 I shouldn't complain.

Both hold up very well. In fact, I played through the both of 'em quite recently.

Sui 2's still a lot better, though.
Might I recommend installing the Shifter mod before you start?

Yeah, but you're like two generations behind everyone else. ;)

Just beat NMH. The real ending is fucking awesome...
love how every character starts claiming they're related to Travis.
So is the slowed-down fast-forwarded part on youtube!

"Too bad there won't be a sequel" glad she was wrong!

Thanks Crotch. Looks good. I was really hoping the HD mod would be done so that the game would look a little more modern, but guess that'll have to wait for my next playthru. Some of the changes in the Shifter mod look interesting, mainly the weapons and stuff.
Now you actually have to play NG2 so you change your opinion on that.
ummm....my penis achievement score for the game is higher than yours.

It's fun on Warrior (though nothing special.) It's mentor and above that is complete shit.
Suikoden is a little outdated.

Suikoden 2 holds up much better.
so far I'm really enjoying Suik 1 so I do hope part 2 gets released on PSN.
I wouldn't know, since I don't get enjoyment out of pounding my dick with a hammer.
Me neither, that's why i don't play it on that level.

Ninja Gaiden 1 is wayyy more fun on harder difficulties.

Welcome to Club Quality. Where's the pics?

I love Sanwa parts.

How are the buttons on the HRAP3? I know they aren't sanwas, but they're good enough to work for a while right? I plan to mod it in a few months.

Whatever douche. It's barely a over a week. I bought it on 11/24/07 opened it on 12/25/07. So they might work with me.

Not two generations behind.

Just reliving my childhood. Plus Fallout 1+2 and Planescape.

EDIT: For the record, my childhood stretches from slightly before I was born to Final Fantasy 9.

Suikoden II is still amazing by today's standards. I'm almost done with it, so I'll need to go find III this week.

Also, I'm confused as to what that whole gripshift deal means for psp users?

It can be used, somehow, to execute code on the PSP-3000 that will enable people to put custom firmware on them.

And people all over the world will clamor for U.S. versions of it. :bouncy:

i means that homebrew is now possible on PSP 3000 models as well as a new hole to homebrew.

So I'm starting chapter three of Dragon Quest IV and I think I may take a break from it. I've had Chrono Trigger teasing me since Christmas. Still not sure why I opted to start DQIV over CT, but man I think I'm due to start juggling the two.

And I started Fallout 3 today. I played for like.... ten minutes. I can't wait to get really going.

And Krymner, thanks for the profile comment ;)

Which ps, was in regards to me turning 20 today  So yeah... no longer a kid by numbers. Only by mentality.

I've been on the fence about CT since it was released. I have the PS1 and the SNES versions, and I play the PS1 version regularly. I just don't know if I wanna throw down $40 for it just yet.

I've never played any version of it. I mean, I played like 5 minutes of it on an emulator years ago, but I'm torn on whether or not I want to fire it up. I'm worried CT and DQ will run together :whistle2:k

Now that the Vikings are out and I don't have a job, I can actually play the games and read the books I already have, as opposed to buying tons of new crap :)
nah, but seriously....someone sell me Killer 7. :bomb:
I will send it to you if you just cover shipping. Maybe that will help soothe the wounds from the whole "The Witcher" ordeal. :D

Normally, I'd say go with CT, and the hell with everything else. But since I know how good the DQ series is, I don't know which to side with. Very tough. I say at least finish up with DQ, or play a bit more until you think you could continue without forgetting about DQ while playing CT.

This is the way I've been going. This is the most time I've ever put in to a DQ game and I'm really enjoying it. But damnit, CT is goddamn notorious for being good that it's teasing me.

Oh well... I guess I'll go with DQ until I feel like it's truly time for a break or if I feel like I'm done with it. Because I feel like CT will consume me....

PMed!

and I'm not really pissed about that still. as I mention in the PM (posting here in case other people think so), I just bust your balls about it, budge.
Azu, why are you out your job?
It was seasonal. I couldn't stay because of my "availability". Of course my supervisor didn't bother to tell me that (I could've adjusted my availability), so I was surprised one day to come in to work to see that my name wasn't on the schedule anymore.

Its ok though, he slit his wrists, plays WoW and has facial piercings.
nah, but seriously....someone sell me Killer 7. :bomb:
why? I thought you played it already?

still stands as one of a few very impacting games in my life. it gave a me a wider perspectives on a few things in terms of the medium.

Needs fewer infinitely respawning enemies. Yeah, yeah, you've made a brilliant game, but nine times out of ten, adding infinite respawns is just a shitty fucking idea.

And the other 10% of the time, the developers were probably talented enough to do something else entirely.

a guess: you work at Hot Topic? if so, no loss for you to be honest.
Hm..would I like Killer 7?
I think you would... It is a weird, but awesome game.

I think everyone should play it, just for the experience of it.

Do you like walking down hallways and shooting things?

I would finish up Dragon Quest before going into CT. Playing two RPGs at once really doesn't work out all too well. :p

With that said, I'm fucking bored now. I guess it is time to figure out what I need to play on the DS. TWENY is looking tempting, I haven't played it yet...

I would get CT if it wasn't for the fact I replayed my SNES copy last summer. Maybe Disgaea DS....or Rhapsody too....
