How is TWEWY? I've only heard things from a idiotic/fanboyish friend of a friend, so I don't know if I should take his word for it or not.
Sometimes.
it's really hard to say you'd like it.

The story is one of the most complex I've ever come across in any medium in my life other than in books. Most people say it's batshit crazy, but it's just layer upon layer of so many forms of information.

At the same time it's also not the most user friendly in terms of gameplay. If you do get it, get it on Gamecube... I played it on a HDD on my PS2 because the loading was a pain, but the gamecube one seems to be the better.

it's cheap so do what you want.

Also in terms of TWEWY, like Persona 3/4, this is the wrong thread to ask if it's good or not

Oh right, forgot the story doesn't make any sense. Also I'm pretty sure the first revealed detail about the game turned out to be the final plot twist. I think. Like I said, doesn't make any sense, even if you read the Story FAQ, which IMO reads way too far into everything.
No Gamecube or Wii.

I'd be playing off PS2 HDD, so the load times couldn't be that bad.
The loading is still a bit of a pain but not as bad on the HDD when comparing to the GC version. The only thing bad about playing on an HDD is that the dates your save files get registered as get crazy wonky, but it won't break or mess anything up.

It actually dosn't read that far. It's all based off factual notations of the development of the game. There was a book released with all the information about making the game that most of the info was based off of (translated).

I normally would agree with you but the FAQ stands strong due to its multiple viewpoints as well as factual backups.

I want to go get myself a GC copy now since I now have a Wii at least...

oh and a bad controller that came out actually has a good d-pad for the 360:

it's for a drum set though.

I guess they had enough of paying flipping CAGs $15 apeice for disc only copies of San Andreas and Battlefront 2 on Xbox from Hollywood Video

I'll post some pics of the stick soon. I can't find the charge cable for my camera anywhere. It doesn't have any art or paint on it, so it doesn't look fancy, but it works perfect!
why? I thought you played it already?

still stands as one of a few very impacting games in my life. it gave a me a wider perspectives on a few things in terms of the medium.
I just want to play it again. Maybe it'll make more sense a second time through! also, I enjoyed NMH so much, I felt like I should give K7 another run. Even though NMH is about 1000x more accessible of the two.

I have tons of experience with pictured hub for RB portable drum kit.

I don't think that dpad is good at all to be honest.

It's still way to stiff/unresponsive to diagonals. X_X

I'm waiting on ur fightpads anyway so I'm good.

Man so I jumped on the preorder of SFIV CE from deep discount, and used live search cashback.

And with the TE stick preordered from amazon with 2 day shipping, it comes out in total to like 320 bucks.

I still need to get the stuff for dual modding the stick, as well as a pad maybe (but I don't know if I have enough money)

I should have around 300 in savings by the end of january though since christmas + birthday money kicks ass.

Yeah, 360 to ps3 because of the cthulu board.

Which means solderless wiring and whatnot (basically just easier)

Cthulu doesn't work as a 360 board yet.

Good job Ubisoft Montreal, I've been playing Prince of Persia for 4 hours, and I'm already sick to death of wall running and jumping from pole to pole. Needs some more variety badly. Hopefully, the money I spent on the game will pay for game design classes for the devs.
For some reason this morning, I feel compelled to collect gamecube games.
I'm guessing because of the recent Killer 7 interest.

Personally, the only 3 GC games I've wanted to pick up since getting a Wii have been Killer 7, PN03, and Cubivore.

I can always find PN03 at stores for super cheap, but it's always in horrible condition

I loved Killer 7 and kind of liked No More Heroes. But the bosses in the game just got to annoying for me to deal with... I gave up during the boss fight at the beach. Maybe I'll pick NMH up again and try playing on easy...

Man, wish I'd found the thread in the Goozex forums about PayPal Shipping sooner. You can buy and print first class USPS labels on there. On the USPS site you can only do Priority and Express Mail. On top of that the delivery confirmation is only 18 cents vs the 60 or 75 at the post office.

I don't care so much about the cost, just the convenience of not having to make it to the post office during business hours and wait in the long lines around here (took me 35 minutes last time to mail a game a couple weeks ago). Now I can just print it out and throw it in the mail at work.

Anyway, here's a link to the PayPal site and the Goozex forum thread in case any GGTers weren't aware of this and want to use it for sending out games etc.

I seldom use PayPal, and mainly to send payments rather than receive, so I wasn't aware.

I still don't understand why the USPS won't let you make first class labels on their site though, especially if they allow it through paypal.

It's been a while since I hit up the general gaming thread. I managed to finish Zelda Twilight Princess (Wii) and Rygar (PS2) with some time off during the holidays! Woohoo! 2 old games finsihed LOL!

Seems Brutal Legend got picked up by EA.

Started Persona 3 finally lol. It's been sitting on my shelf since fes released but got the urge to start it. Currently about to the second full moon and the 2nd block. Seems interesting but it is kind of dragging right now compared to the beginning.

I'm starting to get that itch myself...

Rune Factory 2 has officially become addictive, now that there's actual story progression and I can forge, cook, etc. I spent all morning playing it; it's now 1:29 PM and I haven't had breakfast yet (it's in the toaster as I type). At this rate, I should have the game beat by the weekend...
Seriously? You just bought it?
Yes, bought a used/refurbed PS3 from Gamestop on Friday.

In less than 48 hours the drive died in the middle of TDK :br:.

I figured a used PS3 was a safer bet than a used 360. But my 360 refurb still works just fine after 2 months.

Now I gotta decide to drive 150 miles roundtrip to the GS stores near me for an exchange, or just return it and get it from their website.
