Alright. Chrono Trigger. Where the fuck do I go after I arrive at the End of Time for the, ahem, first time?
I think when you came in, there were 2 white portals. Go into the one you didn't come out of.

There are like a million white portals.

One goes to Chrono/Marle's time, where I went through a big cave just to end up back at the festival-y thing, where the portal takes me back to the End of Time.

One goes back to that same portal at the festival-y thing.

One goes back to Robo's time.

One goes back to like, dinosaur-time.
How big is the demo, RR? Just need a gauge as to how long it'll take to DL...
1.5 gigs, almost done with my dl!

If your party is like Marle/Chrono/Lucca/Robo (I don't think you have Frog fulltime yet) then you go to dinosaur time and get Ayla.
I believe it's to get dreamstone so Melchior can repair the masamune and you can take on Magus.
man the skate 2 soundtrack is superb as well just like the first. sad that the dev team Black Box may no longer exist :(
i'm going to have to disagree with you here. i'm looking at the sountrack now, and while some of the unknown songs might rock my nuts off, my first impression is that it's lame as fuck. the first game, while not superb, had a decent soundtrack, by comparison.

yeah, I woke up at 10 this morning, got up, started download, shut off my system (backgrnd dld), headed to school, worked for 7 hours on school and animation project, just got home an hour ago, played for a bit = happy as fuck.

My pixel castle animation is coming along nicely. been in good talks with the chiptunes music composer. Once I start filming my "ultraman" style movie next week I'm going to be contacting other chiptune artists. If all falls into place I'm going to be holding a chiptunes local concert here in Miami for the film premier. if all goes well and I've got enough cash flow, I'll be flying a few Fighter Thread people down to the premier since they have an odd involvement with the film :bouncy:

it's good if you have a very wide range of taste, so totally understandable if you don't enjoy all genres.

My 10 minute impression of Skate 2!

fucking awesome!

BUT! Running seems really really akward at the moment, since it feels like a jerky thingy with each step, and the controls for it are really weird.

Otherwise, it seems awesome so far.

Yeah, that's what I get for going off of memories from 1996.

Finished Sands of Time, played up to the first save point in Prince of Trent Reznor: Warrior Within.

Warrior Within...really? REALLY?

From reading reviews, it seems worth skipping ahead to Two Thrones. The platforming doesn't seem better or worse, fights still drag on, and there are glitches.

I grabbed Monster Madness for $10 from Circuit City last week and started playing it tonight.

Very fun co-op game. Good humor too.

I was also very tempted to grab Legendary today. I know it's supposed to suck, but my curiosity will probably make me end up getting it.

Just skip to Two Thrones. Warrior Within is garbage.

But SoT is better than TT anyway. Played one, played 'em all.

I've never played any of the PoP trilogy games, but I always figured that was the case.

I'm still in awe that an arcade quality stick is going to be available for Xbox 360. And to think I was once emailing Arcade in a Box to see when they were going to make something compatible.

Needless to say, I'm glad the FGT guys steered me away from that. >_

I would just use the Saturn USB pad.

EDIT: Ah, wait, wouldn't work on 360 nevermind.
The SFIV pads are closest to the Saturn feel. However Markman has yet to say if the D-Pad is as good.
There's only going to be 3000 of you available initially!?
I can't say the # exactly. But we weren't lying when it was first announced as LIMITED.

The TE will be the hardest to find. Then the other two might be hard to find as not all GameStop stores will carry them.

The FightPads, depending on how they sell through, could be hard to find as well.

I hope some sites put up impressions of the fight pads soon though.

I worked long and hard on these, so I hope those of you that do get some of this stuff... please let me know your impressions on them.

It will be a preference thing.

It is structured similar to the Saturn one. Not as firm. Softer feel.

So you either will like it over the Saturn or you won't.

Personally. My unbiased opinion. I think for Street Fighter, the SF4 fightpad is superior to the Saturn one.

But for 3D fighters (much like the Saturn pad), the fightpad isn't as good.

BUT!

Anything's better than the 360 dpad lol.

I'm going to preorder the lower end model and pad right now.

Damn, Amazon doesn't have Blanka. Have to go with Ken.

I really like the look for the $80 model. IMO, aesthetically speaking, the stick looks better than the TE.

I would go for the $80 one (i wouldn't even be able to use the $150 to it's potential) but I can't stand the game art.
I hope the sticks do well and there's a regular release for them. (and the pads)
MarkMang,

How does the Fighter IV FightStick compare to the HORI Real Arcade Pro. EX ?
You can't change the art on the regular FightStick, it's a decal. I mean you can put new art OVER it. But it's not like the TE stick.

Also, comparing a Hori Real Arcade PRO EX vs the regular FightStick isn't fair.

Sanwa wins in that case. But the price difference between those two is $80 vs $125.

+ the size difference is too big.

Personally, I'd get an EX if you had to pick between those two.

That's just me though.

But vs the EX2.

SFIV FightStick all day.

Shit, the skate 2 demo is off the chain! Might be the game I pop my GS GCs from xmas on (as opposed to waiting until a sale or price drop). Either way, I'm gettin' it.

Gonna ramp up a little Fallout 3 now before hitting the sack.

I like the art better on the lower grade SF4 stick, but the layout and overall base of the controller a lot better on the TE.

Cool to see the same parts my stick has in the pictures there. Except mine are screw in sanwa buttons. lol.

whoknows: Don't play legendary. I'm serious about this. I wouldn't wish legendary on my worst enemy, which you just might be. At least on the internet.

Isn't there a demo you can try to satisfy your perverse need to play awful games?

I'm sorry, dallow. I don't think I'll be able to finish Resistance 2. It's really bad.

I'm going to exchange it at GS tomorrow for LBP or something else (not sure yet).

I REALLY want one of those sticks... But I'm already spending too much on some figures that month... But if I did get one it would be the lower grade stick.
