WTF??? MS charged me $49.99 for a year Gold XBL subscription I never agreed to? WTF?????

who do I call to cancel? I never paid for this shit.

EDIT: fuck... when the fuck did they add an auto renewal sign up? I never had it like that before... fuck!!!!!

assholes... I got bills more important to pay than this. first shitty controllers now this MS... ur pissing me off.

Auto renewal sign up has been there since the dawn of time. Or, ever since you paid for XBL with a CC.
Was Ikari Warriors considered a "shmup"?
Awww man, I remember I had Ikari Warriors back on the NES and could NEVER get past this one part towards the end.

I got Comando 3 Wolf of the Battlefield a couple months ago when it was on sale on the PSN, and it reminded me alot of the time I spent with Ikari Warriors. I think maybe I've played WotB for all of 20 minutes tho...

Ouch, that's an especially painful hit for a CAG to take. $50 of real money for XBL, wow...

The reminds me, I need to feed another of my cheap 1 year cards (my last one I think) into my account. I don't think I ever gave them a CC, but there's no point in letting it even get close to expiring.

Anyway, got myself to 997 of the 1000 light seeds in PoP needed before facing the final boss. I finally had to stop playing at 6am and get some sleep - will snag those last 3 tonight. I like that some are a bit tricky to get but I don't need to resort to a FAQ to figure them out. It is balanced pretty well and hasn't taken me that long to collect them all.

That game is good -- I played the hell out of it when it dropped... had some good games with other CAGs. 200/200 too.
Yep, never put your CC in the 360. Buy 12 month cards cheap on Amazon or Buy.com.
Indeed.
It was really cool. Blew my mind that I was skating around with real people, showing off and such.

Nice of them to throw that support in even though the official modems weren't released.
My first online console game.

I wonder if it still works, I still have the game.
I tried Amplitude some months ago and still saw people playing it online.
Haha, the first console game I ever played online was THPS 4. I moved a TV into the living room to do it. :D

Oh, and skate 1 :: skate 2 =/=THPS1 :: THPS2, if you know what I mean.
looking forward to kz 2
Me too! Yay @ the review scores...not that they would have made a difference in me buying the game either way.

I'm not buying Killzone 2. I already made a guarantee to myself that the only game I'm buying this month is SFIV CE for 360..
Maybe I can trade 3 get Killzone 2 free?

Oh shit, EB Games (Canada) is giving $37 for Fable 2! OMGZ

opposite for me....oh does anyone know how much a 360 core w/ 20gb hdd goes for (nto for trade in, i mean like to sell to someone)?..finally selling it.

Kind of opposite for me too...that being I have zero interest in SF4.

And Refused: I sold mine for $200 awhile ago. I think I maybe could have gotten more for it.

Original/Falcon?

If it's clean and in good condition? $130-$150?

If you can't afford both, you can always get KZ2 and SSFIIHDR instead. :)

original...though idk what chipset it is as this is my 8th box back from MS (surprising going strong still)

In that case $150 is the most I'd think you should expect. Then again it depends who you sell it to.

As far as SF2 goes, I've had that game on the Genesis for years and years now. I could never get into it though, I was a MK kid.

I like both. But if you like combos, UMK3s introduction of a combo system was sort of... empty. Fun, to an extent, but not satisfying. The real problem is that when they added the combo system, there's no logical way for moves to string together, so it becomes pure memorization, like with tekken's ten hit combos. Personally, I like creating combos and trying to link moves together -- SF2 and all it's children do this extremely well -- the animation is such that you can figure which moves would transition to what smoothly and try to create your own.

Dang, the fake game poster thread at GAF got recognized at Platinum Games. That's really nice of them, they printed out the users' fan posters and posted them in their office.

They are doing some Braid posters now, some are really nice.

Yeah well...MK had a cooler story..and blood.

Seriously though, I don't think I was really into combos and stuff back then.

I might like SF more these days though. I may give it another try eventually.

So how long until the Sony haters start downplaying its quality?
if I played SHMUPs I would... I'm so horrible at them that I'll pass.

the only last shmup I've enjoyed was Raptor

Wasn't it the "magazine ad" thread?

I'm about to start Aquaria. Anyone play through it?

fuck. as if I need more to dislike MS. While I still enjoy there gaming system, I'm slowly liking MS alot less than I already barely did.

Step #1 - Call MS and bitch
Step #2 - Once you get your refund, buy a VISA giftcard
Step #3 - Enter it as your new card, delete your old CC info
Step #4 - Lost profit but no more fuck ups

No games today, just school and work >.<

Since my store is turning into one of those "Gamestops of the future" I have so many hours... The stuff that place has is ridiculous. Touch screen monitors to check stock, like 4 giant screens for tournaments, tons of demo stations.

Are they moving into a new renovated location? Or are they doing the renovations in short sections overnight or something?

Typical evening with Oblivion again. Sit down to play a mission or two and play for over three hours.

Knocked out a handful of Shivering Isles side quests and 3 or 4 of the main story missions. It's a damn good expansion to be sure.

You can play Aquaria with an Xbox controller, but just plugging it in doesn't work. Why would it? You have to dig into Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/aquaria/AQConfig.exe in order to enable controller support. Great idea, of course I'd want that disabled by default!

And I've already hit a "have to reload because I'm stuck in a part of the game I wasn't supposed to get to yet" bug. Oh, PC games.

A new location. They bought a space like two stores over. Monday I have to work until about 1am to move all the stock over, and the new store opens at 2pm Tuesday.

The place is pretty much done. I've been in there, and it's massive. I'll take pictures once we open.

Somehow, I don't think we have quite the bubble economy that Gamestop thinks we do.

Vesperia is excellent. Much better than I would ever expect from a Tales game. I'm only like 8 and a half hours in right now, but it's really, really good.
