PC version of Fallout 3 is the best. Mods + best looking = win. But there's no shame in playing it on 360. PS3 version supposedly has problems though. I wouldn't know, I've only played the PC version.
Cheaper too, if I play it I plan buying it for the PC when it hits the sweet spot. Preferably through Steam if possible.

What's really awful about gamestop expanding so much is when you compare it to all the developers closing and laying off hundreds.

All while that leech gets fatter on things they put no work, money, or creativity into. Just shameful.

Sounds like American businesses as usual. Lay off the workers, keep the fat cats up top that don't do shit super wealthy.

A local university had their big shots vote on their own pay raises after voting yes to budget cuts and teacher pay cuts. Guess what, that fucking shit passed, of course.

The real question is where else can you go to buy used games? And a better question is why do some developers think their game is worth full retail price to begin with? You have to price games accordingly in order to draw in more people, especially with them charging a $10 premium over a PC version counterpart that most likely gets pirated up the ass.

On another topic, I'm 81 events away from getting my Burnout Elite License. I also have 2 cars going around Paradise City right now that I have to take down. Great...thanks goodness restart is coming next week. It'll make the grind a little easier.

Rats, haven't even gotten my A license yet (got about 11 events left IIRC).

Consider yourself lucky, then. There are those extra DLC trophies coming as well, including ones where you have to win a race in a DLC car. That's going to be tough considering where I'm at.

I also hope they take out the fog or allow us to control the fog.
Episode 1 > Rest of The Orange Box. Cemented Alyx as one of my favourite videogame characters.
Episode 1 is the worst part of the HL2 series. :whistle2:|

Rolento, I'm sad to see you don't know the meaning of very brave.

EDIT: While Episode 1 lacks, it's far from terrible. Let me just get that out there so no one thinks otherwise.

fuck Trickle Down Regan-nomics.

There I said it, I blame Regan.

Add me to the people that hate the gamestop corportation.

And how much money did you make doing gamestop flips?
IS there some weird lag in TF2 on the 360? I shot some guys point blank with the scout's shotgun 3 times and didn't do damage, then got killed :\
Nah dude its how its supposed to be played, I mean its a completely different game on the 360 because of how shoddy the port is.

Morning GGT,

Just ordered a new TV, went for this one

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LN40A..._m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0E1JJ7H1Q65RQMR23Q42

Was going to get the 46 inch version but I decided against it, I might need to take it back to to the UK at some point and a 46 incher would be way too big for our tiny UK houses. PLus it was another $300.

Finally got that stupid Jump Shot cheesemint in L4D, I had to force it a bit, surprised I didn't pick it up during the course of my many play-throughs.
jer owned by the fact that he cant downplay KZ2?
At least you pulled a jer and changed your tune.

The gifs are small, motion blurred to hell so you dont see the shitty textures, game looks scripted as anything, and its probably going to run just like the first game did.
Everything ive seen from killzone 2 looks generic as anything, yes it may be pretty to the naked eye, but it wont fool me with all of its post processing effects it tries to throw at you.
Crysis>Killzone 2.

Right, and I don't even mean just about the graphics, I just meant the constant shitting of a game that no one here (besides those few that were in the beta) have played.

I remained hopeful, and all the good reviews looks like they actually pulled it off and made a fun shooter.

Truth be told, even if it was horrible, I would have played it for eye-candy alone.
I like impressive tech. (which is why i need a better PC :arg: )

have you had the pleasure of playing Killzone 1? The skepticism was more well-founded than the unconditional love for KZ2.

I played Liberation, which showed they could make a good game.
KZ1 seemed bogged by the low power of the PS2 with all the technical problems with it.

I believe that even if KZ1 ran at a stable 30fps, I still would have been a B- shooter.
I never played Liberation.

Shellshock Vietnam was not the greatest shooter either.

Better a B than a compete dud.
Good to hope for the best.

I disagree with the blind love the game was getting mostly from GAF like ninja dawg mentioned

I never said KZ2 would be a great game. I hoped it would be.
The only thing I ever praised it in the last 2-3 years was the graphics, as it was the only thing to judge.

Exactly. I was hoping KZ2 would be good, but the suckage of the first game made caution the best course of action.

i'm curious how the public is going to recieve KZ2. i'm sure it will sell pretty damn well but i wonder if it's going to have the staying power of games like CoD4, TF2, Halo, etc.

Blu-Ray on Feb 10.

I must rent.

I'm just going by what that guy above me rated it.
:shrugs:
I don't know much about it other than the framerate was terrible in videos I've seen.

Hmm, some interesting additions to the PC version of The Last Remnant, including a high speed mode for battles, and dual voice and dual text language options.

I wonder if this will translate to the PS3 version.

my god dallow, I don't really throw this term around loosely (and I'm not meaning to insult you), but you are nose deep in KZ fanboyism.

The developers made the game run the way it does. They had the option to back off on graphics a little bit and make the game run above 15 fps. It's not the system's fault. That's like painting half a painting and saying the canvas wasn't big enough.

And the horrible framerate wasn't the only issue. Its been a long time since I played it, but I remember it not being fun.

I'm glad they've turned the ship around with 2 though.

My being hopeful of KZ2 and enjoyment of Liberation is fanboyism?
I've played plenty of games that had framerate problems and enjoyed them. I wouldn't call them 'half games'.

I'm only telling you what I thought of KZ1 from some videos, I've never even played it. I'm just going by what the majority of people around have said that it's a bad game, and if I played it, I'd probably agree.

Ah ok, that makes sense.

If I were to play the game, then I would have a better answer then.
The only thing I can tell is that the PS2 limited it.

If there other problems (and it really seems like it), then yeah, I'd need to play to see.
If I really cared about Killzone as a series, I would have played it long ago, but I really don't.

I said "if" killzone 2 had no framerate problems at the time it would have gotten a C+/B-/B review score.
I think the fanboy comment came from blaming KZ1's problems on the PS2, and not the developers where the blame really lies.
that was it.

too many beautiful looking games running on the PS2 (some at 60fps) to say its a PS2 problem.

I see, well I apologize and didn't mean to say it was only the PS2's fault.
It's just the only one I know of personally.

I remember wanting to play KZ1, Black, XIII, and lots of other shooters that I heard about from people or in commercials.
But around that time I was less interested in gaming and survived only on GBA.

It had the cel shaded graphics right?
That's the only reason I was interested.

I really like cel shading.

Wind Waker was the most beautiful game last gen.

It did...and that was the main hook of it probably. It's the only reason I gave the game a second look...and bought it for $5 like a month after it came out
SoTC is a near perfect game that is only limited by the PS2. (tons of slowdown)
How I'd love a remake.
+1

SoTC PSN remake free with preorder of Trico.
