That award goes to Zelda: Twilight Princess. Nothing but space and some hidden rupees that don't fit in your wallet because there's nothing to buy.

fucking QFT! Don't forget Wind Waker.

"Hey, I found a map! Time to go see what's at the bottom of the sea! (pulls up treasure chest) 50 rupees? But my wallet is full? fuck this game."

Well, if they remade Wind Waker for Wii, you'd probably drop the chests back in the sea if your wallet was full.

BTW, Wind Waker is in my Top 10 games of all time.

Don't misunderstand, I loved Wind Waker. I just hated the excess rupee chests that I never needed.

Gamecube > Wii all day, even if every good Gamecube game comes out for Wii.

I want another gamecube so I can go play all the great games I somehow never got around to:
Wind Waker (got to the triforce piece finding part, looked at the guide and what I was going to have to do, and literally said fuck it and sold the game the next day)
Metroid Prime 1 and 2
Super Mario Sunshine
Basically any of the great GC games. ALl that little purple wonder was used for was SSBM.
Just downloaded LIT, might be the first worthwhile WiiWare game since World of Goo. Fun, but likely short.
Tell me how it is. I have been thinking about downloading it.

Puma: Just play MP and skip MP2...
How long did it take you guys to do the main quest in Fallout?

according to the list in the strat guide, I've done half of them. but I've also done a ton of sidequests and I'm at 40 hours. I want to blow through the rest of it though.

I play that game so slowly though...look at everything, take in the sights. probably the most atmospheric game I've ever played.
Oh good, I'm not the only one taking their time in Fallout3! Except, I got the game about a week after launch. >_

That's the only way to play those kind of RPGs in my opinion. I've been plugging away at Oblivion and it's expansions since October.

I've been mainly trying to complete as much as I can, but early on I was playing overly cautiously, constantly going back to town to rest/resupply and conserving all my Aid and Ammo. Now that I'm higher level, things go by faster.
yep, launch day here too. :)

when I play, I do like one part of a mission. in 3 hours. Just hit level 16. I think its a good sign, I just feel like I should have finished by now. On the other hand, even if I don't rush to finish it, I'll still play it for the rest of the year, especially after the level cap.

and I don't even wanna look at the PC mods out for it yet (quest wise...some of the technical mods like better blood, better repair system, etc. are all awesome.)
Oh wow, that's pretty much how I've been playing it! I'm level 15 though.

I did it in under 20 hours. Closer to 16 I'd imagine. I didn't do much exploring because I didn't think it was going to end so fast. Only hit level 13. Thanks for the suggestion Crotchski, will do! This time I'm going to take my time and find all the shit my friends are talking about that I'm missing out on.

Yeah, I wasn't really concerned about that too much until Wombat mentioned it on the CAGcast, but now for sure I'd like to try and hit max cap before I finish the game--I'd hate for things to just end before I feel like I got what I wanted out of it, even if it is "replayable". (Backlog says "hi").

hehe, replayability stopped being important for me once I started making more money and once I found CAG. Just too many good games waiting to be played.

Too true.

I'm going to try and get through as much of GTAIV as I can until the DLC comes out. I think I'm about 65-75% done.

I reached the "end" of the Phantasy Star demo. Capped out at lvl 20, Hunter Rank 5, weapon skills at 11, and no new missions to unlock. I wish March would hurry up already. =(

I hope I get VC after I sent back the Rock Band I got today which I used only to copy music.

Crisis Core is though a very damn impressive game for a portable. If you look at the scope of the system, it's up high.

I'm thoroughly convinced at this point that the best games on the system are sword based third person style games...

Crisis Core sucks and I base this on no personal experience with the game.

VC was just ... I can't say it sucked because it doesn't but I didn't enjoy playing it.

You and your silly stealth edits.

Probably.

...anyone ever play that Aqua Teen Hunger Force game? Man that game was awesome as hell.
No, but really, it was god awful.

I wanna keep playing the Phantasy Star demo, but I don't wanna make a new character. I never liked Rangers, and I could never stand being a Force.

When I played WoW, I saw at least 3 marriages end horribly. While it may have not all been the game, it was definitely a significant factor.

Some friends I know stopped playing so their new marriage wouldn't get fucked up, haha.

The worst one I remember was about 500 pages of cybersex chat being posted on the server community forums, shit was hella gross too.

I'm really close to beating Chrono Trigger. I could try and beat the final boss right now, but I really want to do some of the side quests right now so I can level up so more. I find it interesting that a 15 year old SNES game has some of the best design choices in an RPG while some RPG's today have some of the worst, specifically leveling up your character(s).

In Chrono Trigger, no matter who's in your party, all characters gain EXP (whether they gain the same amount or not, I don't know). In some games though, like say...Eternal Sonata and Final Fantasy XII, characters have to be in your party to level up, making grinding so much worse and the game a lot more tedious.

Yeah, in other RPGs, the leveling up of party members usually means to me that several of my party aren't gonna get played, and I just wind up using the same set of characters.

Played a little more Xenosaga 3, but not much. I really want to get the Genesis collection coming out this week, but I kinda told my girlfriend that we wouldn't buy anything unnecessary until she could find another job. Hopefully she'll be employed before RE5 comes out.

Having just finished Eternal Sonata, I can say this isn't actually true. Non-active party members get 75% exp, I think.

I wish FF6 did that. I'm at the end of the game and I have to spend some time grinding with the 5-6 characters I never liked using(as well as Collecting some skills for a few characters). It's why I stopped playing it.
