I beat yakuza 2 today, and damn if that wasn't the nuttiest last hour of any videogame in existence.

Someone buy 100000 copies of 2 so they'll bring 3 over -_-

Ended up watching several episodes of Weeds Season 3 with my roommate rather than playing L4D. Did pop it in and play through a level quickly to test out the game so I could leave feedback on Goozex.

Looking forward to some split screen co-op later this week.
Is the gameplay better than Yakuza 2?

EDIT: The brawling specifically
From what little I played so far, it is the same. Not necessarily a bad thing, IMO.

Eh... it's one of the reasons I didn't play much of Yakuza.

Looks like Itagaki's pupil did learn a thing or two from him. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 looks great, the two girl's fighting style look similar to Ryu when he's using the Twin Swords (Ayane) and Flails (Momiji) but still unique enough. Good stuff.

Power of the Cell.

Yay, Morrissey on Jimmy Fallon tonight. Sigh, I'll suffer through his show.

EDIT: Whoa, I missed the show earlier. Dang, floodz was found out. :whistle2:/

I should clarify that it is the same as Yakuza 2, which is really a lot better than Yakuza 1.

I probably should of mentioned which one myself, I was talking specifically about Yakuza 2, my bad.

Went and saw Knowing and they ruined the movie with the ending. I can't believe they did that.

Also no games today :whee:

And interesting about the Inufaye thing...sort of.
Quite nice. I'd like it as an option.
Video quality is is the only thing holding it back. I want IQ as clean as can be.
I dunno. I'm really not ready for an all-digital game distribution system. I just want a physical copy I can call my own, to sell and trade as I see fit.

It might be fine for games I'm on the fence about, or just not willing to buy outright, but not for AAA titles.

And I'm skeptical about the video quality, I don't care what those guys at Onlive are selling. Bandwidth infrastructure in the US is really not ready for the level of graphic quality I expect out of an HD game. It might work in someplace like Japan, though. :p

Someone talk me out of the $325 RE5 360 bundle.
alright, well seems the GGT and OTT had a fun filled day today.

games i cant wait for:
NG2S
new Gundam ps3 game
KoF XII
BlazBlu
DW Gundam 2
My list:

Uncharted 2
God of War 3
Call of Duty 6
LA Noire
Easily done in Mercenaries mode. If you get a rotten egg in story mode, hold on to it...shit is fucking rare.
Liar. I've sold every one I had, which is quite a few -- I only held on to the second one a bit longer as I realized you needed all 4 eggs in your inventory at once for the collector achievement. :\

Already tried to in the OTT. If you want a 2nd 360, you know what it do.

And GoW3 is pushed out to 2010.

For the people who don't like the sound of OnLive, is it the technical issues alone?

How would you feel about it if it all worked as advertised, on any broadband connection with no lag ?

Still wouldn't like it. First, I like OWNERSHIP... if everything is hosted on the server, I own nothing. Which becomes a problem if my internet gets slow or if it's down or if I end up being somewhere that doesn't support the required speed... I can take a 360 or PS3 with me somewhere? Forced to relocate to my parents' place -- I can bring one of the systems for entertainment out in the boonies where they live. With OnLive, I'd be screwed. I like the use of Internet in consoles for DLC/demos and online play... but I don't like the idea of everything gaming related being internet DEPENDENT.
I'll give you $50 shipped if you can find a Hori Fighting Stick PS3 at your GS. That's about $10-15 in your pocket, man.
If the market for PS3 Hori sticks is similar to the 360 one, that's not an enticing offer, Doc.

Someone pointed out yesterday that the baseline Hori EX2 Fight Stick was selling for between 150 and 200 on ebay at the moment.

Edit: With that said, if you provide me the GS product URL, I'll check my local stores to see if one is in stock for you.
Which Cinematic Titanic did you watch recently Ben? I think the only one I've seen so far is the one with that lady from the Golden Girls.
Well I got Blood of the Vampires yesterday Mak, hence the user title, but the last one I watched was the Oozing Skull.

I'll watch Blood of the Vampires this week sometime.

Blimey, if the 360 ones are going for the same kind of money I'll wish I'd bought a spare one when I had the chance.

Relying on broadband internet as a service is a frightening concept. I wouldn't trust Time Warner, or any and all other companies from modifying services such that it would be unusable, whether by bandwidth caps, traffic prioritization, or some other means. At that point my purchases are worthless.

And at some point the platform owner would decide that subscription-based plans were better money and we'd have to pay $x a month forever in order to play games.

woah. what a difference - I had no idea it was like that. FWIW, the PS3 Fighting Stick *is* the same thing, but it ain't selling anywhere close to that on eBay. Best deal there is $60-65 + S&H, so I'm not lowballing to the degree you think I am.

Lemme find the product page on GS' website.

as a flagship service, I'd sit back and wait while they iron out all the kinks, of which there will probably be plenty.

About the same as if it ever actually comes out. That is, to say, absolutely fucking *stunned*.

You want that I should ask my wife's coworker to pick one up in Ashtabula in exchange for the recommendation he wants on LinkedIn?

Seriously? Ah bullshit. Should of known this year was too good to be true.

If OnLive actually manages to do what they say without any lag then ... actually, know what, there will always be some type of lag. I'm not going for it.

Damn, I'd hop on that bundle if I had the cash to spare. Just buy it. ;)

My most wanted this year:

BlazBlue
KoF XII
Tekken 6 BR
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
Uncharted 2

As far as what I think of OnlLive. . .
I don't know what the fuck linkedin is, but you betcha.
I'll have her ask him tomorrow, but I can't guarantee anything better than a "fuck off." He's out in the boonies so I don't know where this mall is relative to him.

LinkedIn = professional networking site

Fighting game dude. Two Questions:

(1) What do Guilty Gear games play like? I'm trying to get an idea of how Blazblue will feel and if I should bother getting excited (it looks nice)... I hate the name, though... :whistle2:?

(2) What the hell is the BR for on Tekken 6?
