I dont think people are waiting for a price drop for the PS3. They've largely moved on and picked a competing system and wont ever look back.

The numbers that we're talking about here are insignificant.

True, seems like the people who were waiting for a price drop have moved on. Those who really wanted one already picked one up for retail or on sale. I know that happened to all my friends, they've either moved on to a 360 or said "fuck it" and bought it. I'd mention the Wii but... to be honest, most of my friends just make fun of it because of the 'waggle' controls.

EDIT: Probably should mention that I know that my friends are definitely not the Wii's target audience. :lol:

I still have yet to understand what amazing games people are playing on their 360's that make it so much more superior to the PS3. Pretty much everything is mult-platform

They who? Compared to the 100 million plus the PS2 (alone) sold, the number of consoles sold this generation is pithy by comparison. So your argument is complete shit, unless you assume that an industry growing in sales dollars by the quarter is going to sell, on the whole, 1/3 to 1/2 the number of consoles of the last generation.

You surely can't be that obtuse. At least, I tell myself that.

With consoles at $250-$500, none of them have hit a mass market pricepoint yet. And you can rely on those predictions about sales and saturation to your heart's content, except that you're wrong this generation. So the past is the past except when it isn't.

EDIT: Don't think I'm saying that the PS3 will move out of third place. It has a fighting chance globally to succeed the 360, but certainly not in the US. What I'm saying is that your argument seems to be that console sales have leveled off and the trends won't change. Which is pretty fuckin' stupid, you have to admit.

This is the part where I'd normally say how awesome the 360 is for having NG2 and Team Ninja but ... hmm... Halo, Gears and... RPGs? Exclusive DLC?

Theres 100 million DS sold and nearly 50 million PSPs, both at mass market prices. I expect the overlap between the two to be similarly small. As in less than 10%. Probably closer to 5%

It's all about context. Besides, Nintendo's in it's own world, man. Sellin' DS consoles with Lisa Kudrow and her "close friend" ain't exactly a way to appeal to the market as we currently know it.

That part was awesome. It made me laugh because ever since they revealed Chris in RE5 my friends and I have been laughing at how ridiculously buff they made him. So seeing him beat the shit out of that boulder just fit the bill.

for anyone who likes Lady Gaga, give Boyz Noise a chance... I can see why Lady Gaga is fun, but the feeling of lack of talent I get from anything that girl does (I think her personality just pisses me off :lol: ) makes me really hate her stuff.

If you want good original shit Boyz Noise is hot and creative IMHO... In fact you've probably heard their music while gaming but never knew it. they had "& Down" in GTAIV...

I don't care about someone's personality, looks, or whatever else when it comes to music. If it sounds good, then I like it. I wouldn't care if Lady Gaga was really a tranny. I'd love to know when music became serious business. While I'm currently going for my masters in chemistry, a long time ago I almost went for a music degree (I still enjoy writing music, and I play the viola in various orchestras as a side job). I changed my mind when I saw what elitists all the people in that program were. All they did was complain about how bad music was nowadays, and how their taste in music made them so much better than everyone else. Music should be fun, that's all I care about.

Anyway, unless the OST versions are different, the in-game music in Madworld loops fairly quickly. I was just playing the game about 10 minutes ago, and most tracks are about a minute and a half long. Again, maybe the versions on the OST are longer. I hope so.

:lol: well I don't care what a person likes or hates or dresses up as, but when it comes to their personal life, if they are plain assholes, I really can't like them like I wish I could. I come from a family who loves anaylizing psychology so it makes sense why I do it. I love people, but I have a harder time liking people if they are known already as assholes. whatever >_<

the OSTs songs are alonger like most OSTs. It has a defnite begininng and end as well as lyrics not repeated (other than the chorus). Thumbs up from me since it's been a while since I've heard an original game OST in this style.

been playing Phantasy Star Portable... fun game, and it's on sale at Gamestop next month (as well as Valkyrie Chronicles) so get it if the price turns out good.

How long is the 2nd one? I palyed the first few chapters, good stuff.
 
Just finished Spiderman : Web of Shadows for the DS. It was pretty fun , but pretty short (game clock shows just over 4 hours to completion). Challenge was pretty balanced except for the middle and the last boss , which were overly difficult due to game design.
 
Finally got started with Tales of Vesperia (it is delicious). Also, do you Gaga fans love Christina Aguilera? She's pretty much a rehash of Christina mixed with Rihanna's lack of melody. It is cool that you guys like her and all, but you have to let us pick on you a little.
 
I played the demo for Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble! earlier today and it was totally awesome. I think I am going to grab it off Steam, especially at a price like $6.69.
 
Whooping up on RE5 today with my friend. Got all the BSAA medals, have all guns but 2 maxed, and rolling around with infinite rocket launchers is pretty amusing. :)

Time to get all S ranks.
 
I'm really enjoying Resistance Retribution so far. Strangely enough, I like it more than Resistance 2 and Syphon Filter PSP, which in theory doesn't make any sense. :p
 
Liking it more than resistance 2 makes sense to me.

I think out of all the resistance games, the PSP one is probably the first to have the best tone, the rest feel bland to me.
