It's an SRPG without the limiting grid.

Yes, you manually move your characters into position (and tanks), and take into account range, cover, etc.
A breath of fresh air for the tired SRPG genre.

The demo is just the first mission I believe.
:???:
I know he wasn't joking.

Doesn't FFT pretty much just feature people on foot?

It's an SRPG with third-person shooter mechanics in place of the grid movement and those kinds of clunky SRPG mechanics.
Most of the DLC is a good distraction, but nothing substantial, save Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles.

I got all of the Oblivion DLC when I bought Knights of the Nine on clearance at Target for $8. Well, except for the Fighter's Guild, but that was free. Also snagged Shivering Isles for $8 at Target too at a later date.

I got Oblivion for free with my last GPU. So I spent like $16 on the PC version total. :) Put like 150 hours into it.
I have roughly 200 hours on my 360 one... I got most of the DLC free. Shiviring Isles was great IMHO.

How long is Mass Effect? For someone who won't do everything? (my friend wants to borrow it)

And cool info on the Silent Hill Wii game.
Not a remake, but a re-imagining. :(

But this perked me up:
-Combat has been completely removed from the game. "Instead, you have no choice but to flee, which proves considerably more terrifying."
Now that I like.

Mass Effect is 12-15 hours to just blow through. Took me 35 doing every side quest I found and getting the completionist achievement.

As for Oblivion, the 80 hours I put into the main game, Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isle to end up with 1220/1250 achievements (didn't have a save to get the other Duke achievement in Shivering Isles) was more than enough for me, so even at 1/2 off I'm not going to bother with any of the other DLC.
On the left Spiderwick Chronicles and on the right Turning Point:Fall of Liberty.

I only play the very best ;)
I don't know about Spiderwick but Turning Point? Seriously? The demo was atrocious. It was Superman 64 bad.

Spiderwick is ok, $12 and hopefully 1000 easy nerd points.

Turning Point I wanted to try cos I was interested in the story line, it's not great but I paid like $14 for a new copy.

I knew it was a bad sign when in the first 20 seconds of the Turning Point demo all the bad guys were pointed in the wrong direction, shooting at the wall.

"Keep shooting Hans, zees Yankee wallz are bound to give up zooner or later"
Is Too Human worth $10? I may have to get it, Mass Effect for $10 and MGS4 again for $30.
Too Humang was atrocious. Granted, I played the demo for only about 5 minutes, but damn, it sucked hardcore.

Mass Effect for $10 is a great deal.

Star Wars Forced Unleashed has the worst voice acting I've heard in a game. The first boss battle geesh! So glad the main character wasn't black, the amount of times he referred to me as "BOY!" would have made that fight rather uncomfortable.

I've been playing a lot of Phantasy Star Portable and Phoenix Wright T&T.

I do dream of the day though when a handheld is released that doesnt cramp your hands after 2 minutes of playing.

The last 10 seconds are amazing as well.

been playing a ton of Phantasy Star P as well... so far I think I'm lvl 68.

fuck... finally, done with my damn music video... I feel like my hands and arms are sore from working for so many hours over and over every day on the same film...

I'll post it when I find the time tomorrow.

Forgot to mention, at one point in Phantasy Star Portable one of the NPC characters talked to me for a bit about how big their rack was, then going into how tight their clothing is and how it hurts their back.

On that note as well, that character is always in my party when adventuring... >_< for known reasons.

anyone know if the GOTY edition of Oblivion has the extra stuff available for installing or it's already on the disc? If it's for installing, I might just rent it from gamefly.

EDIT:  looks like my news people bashed me for was still wrong but very close. that'll teach both me and them to shut up >_

Haven't been playing gamez!
I'm going to bring back L4D, rent Wanted and blaze through that nonsense.
Then I'll grab 50 Cent or something else that's thug.
I'm going to trade in some games so I can own L4D. It's wonderful.
Two discs, one for installing the content and the other's like the original oblivion disc. I doubt gamefly will send the content disc unless they're retarded.

EDIT: Wait, do you mean for PS3? If so then I don't know.
no sorry, not clear... for 360.

on the game description page on gamefly it states it's two discs and that they would send me both at the same time.
Stupid PS3 update. I just wanted to play some Tekken 5 DR. I don't mind updating, but damn it takes so much of my precious time.
Could be worse. You could have been playing Skate 2 on a 1 day old replacement 360 and have it RROD on you.

fuck me.
I knew it was a bad sign when in the first 20 seconds of the Turning Point demo all the bad guys were pointed in the wrong direction, shooting at the wall.
Really? I thought you were in the scaffolding of some construction site at the beginning of the demo as planes start attacking, but maybe I'm thinking of some other crappy FPS demo I've played a year or more ago.

That's terrible. One day has to be a record or something.

I've blown up a 3 day old replacement motherboard though. No PC for like 3 weeks. That sucked ass.

Why isn't there a good curling game? I want The Show quality. I want to play as Randy Ferbey and take him through career mode and kick Kevin Martin's ass at the Brier. Is that too much to ask?

It has to be a record. The xbox.com site won't even let me request a repair for the replacement console most likely because it is not even complete in their system yet.

Even they are like "These damn things don't fail THAT fast. . ."

BTW, Home is so damn amazing. It's like the cesspool of humanity right in my living room.

I waited with a buddy for a few hours to grab a 360 and his died the moment we turned it on. Took it back to Walmart and they didn't have anymore so we wasted 6 hours of our night talking to some greasy, booger covered kids about pokemon and digimon. I'm glad I've never experienced the horror of a failed console. :0)

They send you both? Wow, you're getting a lot of free content then.

All but #9 , #7 , #6 and #2.
#9 because I haven't played Fallout 3 and #7 I've done to a smaller extent (like in RPGs) but not excessively , same with #6.

I love #1. In Mega Man X, i would always dash and try to jump at the right moment and when X hovers over to the boss, it looks like he has his fists up ready to beat someone up...good times

Ditto, sometimes the smoke trail stayed on the screen too. Good times.
