I have about 17 games in my queue, including a number of high availability titles. Still, I mail shit in on a Monday, they get it on Tuesday, don't report it until Wednesday, and don't ship a title out until Thursday.

They're fucking dreadful, man. Three times as slow as Netflix.

And the queue might as well not exist in their minds. They should just call it the "wheel of somethin' or other." They skipped right over HOTD: Overkill and about 3 other "high availability" titles to make sure I got "Prince of Persia" tomorrow, like I was fuckin' clamorin' for it.
Yeah , compared to netflix with their send it back monday , receive it AND send your next one out tuesday , and receive my new one wednesday.

Was Prince of Persia "available now"? I've found from experience that regardless of queue position , they will almost always send out a game thats "available now" farther down your list over one thats "high" near the top.

As for receiving the games , sometimes I'm lucky and they get the "fast return" from my post office , sometimes they don't. Wish I knew a way to always get the fast return.
I didn't get that until they opened their Tampa facility. Finally, something good about living in FL.
Yeah , shipping speed from gamefly improved dramatically when they opened the tampa facility.
the thread has a scan of the coupon... I need to print some tomorrow.
Oh good, I hadn't heard a peep about the coupon. I thought I was committing suicide by mentioning it.

I guess it all depends on where you're located for netflix and gamefly. Netflix is instant for me because they have a Chicago facility...things arrive and come back within 2 days always. Gamefly has a place in Pittsburgh that is apparently serving the chicago area, which makes no fucking sense.

Finished CoD4 on Hardened tonight. a bit like slicing my penis with a razor blade at times, but pretty cool overall. Gonna play Mirror's Edge next ( a game I never would have bought, but got through gamefly, yay) and Fable 2 is on the way...may as well finish that game up.
When I had Gamefly, I would ship a game out and they would get it the next day, mailing my next game that day or the day after. And I would usually get the game within two days of them mailing it at the most.
yeah, same here. it takes longer for me but usually the day after I put the game in my mailbox a game from my que gets sent out to me.

on that note Midnight Club LA is coming... and I don't enjoy racers at all. It's a rockstar game so I at least give it a chance since they are the kings of atmosphere and personas.

I put Tokyo Beat Down on my que as well... I miss basic fun beat-em-ups...

I think the only facilities for Gamefly are LA, Texas, Florida, and Pittsburgh, so there aren't many places yet.

I'm in Miami and one is in Ft. Lauderdale so it's not that far from me. I do hope they expand though to cope with people's complaints because I am enjoying it thoroughly.
...which is without question a better deal, but not everyone is able.
Yea, but at least we get to buy newly released games for a little over $40 I suppose. Even so, I'm happy with gamefly. Less work and more play for me. Probably gonna upgrade to the 2 game plan just so I can have one game I want and rent one of the games you guys are usually going nuts over.

What plan do you have with them ReRo? Reach their 5% off everything status yet?

I think I got one more month till the 5%.

Right now I'm on the 2 games at once plan. I have it set so I always have one game from them at my house always and one out sometimes. Today I sent out Valkyrie Chronicles since I'll be buying it at GS this Saturday night.

Beat re5 today, well worth the money I payed to get it.

I already started a second playthrough with the retro horror or whatever turned on, makes the laser from the guns impossible to see though -_-
What's your other game right now then?

I currently have CaD WoW, fun stuff.

Did you get any, err, deals for your plan?
The other one I sent out the day I got it since I beat it that same day and it wasn't worth having... MK vs DC

I never expected anything from it, but MK is always a fun fighting game distraction that's easy as hell.

Midnight Club LA should be here saturday, so I look forward to that even though I'm not into cars or racing at all.
I expect Phantasy Star Portable sales to spike this weekend due to both the GS sale and a firmware leak.
I'll definitely pick it up at the sale. what's this FW leak all about?

I signed up for Gamefly 2 months ago and have been pretty satisfied. They take a little long to ship, but they have been sending me the game at the top of my list now for the past 3 times (despite low availabilty). I have 2 games out at a time so there's always something to play.

Sure I do. Employee discount.

Anyway, I was sad to see my store still didn't get Tokyo Beatdown. I want that game badly...

For SMB3 i only did the jump when i was full sized. If i had gotten hit i'd always run under the wand on the last really low bounce and catch it

That game looks cool. I just don't want to spend $30 on it :p

Yeah, my day got started off on the wrong foot too. I hope this doesn't bleed over into the weekend--we're supposed to have family fun day at the museum. :p

I only managed to get through the first part of the GTAIV finale last night. :p Maybe I'll be able to finish it tonight. I dunno...

Played the first 2 chapters of Mirror's Edge...awesome stuff so far. Kinda sucks that it's short, but I don't really care since its a rental.

wish I could play all day, but I gotta go to an students reception at my law school :( then I have to haul my 360 over to a friend's place to play Ninja Gaiden 2 on a 13" 15 year old Daewoo crt tv while he records the sound. I guess he wants "violent blood and gore" sounds for an art project. This should be interesting...I wonder if I'll even be able to see what's going on.

It's pretty much all downhill from there.

 Mine arrived today in the mail.

I'm really start to like steam now. :)

Unfortunately, my PC is ass. I might just break down and upgrade next month or something.

Can't wait for the sequel.
Yeah, ME gameplay pretty much stays the same. I wanted to like that game so badly, but it just didn't work for me. :p
Gets worse towards the end where it wants you to play FPS with the guns in order to make things livable.
Game(play) gets better and better.

I love Mirror's Edge but around like chapter 7 or so, it really does go downhill.

The first two or three chapters were the best.
You suck if you had to use guns.

---

My DSi and Rhythm Heaven arrive Monday.
Pretty sure I'm selling the DSi.
Checks achievements. No gun kills achievement - check. Hmmm, guess I don't suck by dallow's standards. Hooray for me!

But would chapter 7 have been a fuckload less frustrating if I had used guns? Most definitely.

I guess "frustrating" for you equated to "thrilling" for me.
Damn I loved that game.

I should go back and finish the speed runs.

Yes, getting repeatedly mobbed by 7532 guys with guns when you come out the van was "thrilling". I was "exhilarated" when I had to repeatedly attempt to dodge them all and get shot while trying to escape.

That was easy peasy. Took about 3-4 tries until I found the path that only puts you in the line of fire of one guy. (and since he's directly in front of you, give him a jump kick and keep moving as the truck and upper pipe portion to climb on top are right past him.)

Ninja dog, there are only 1 or 2 spots where you have to take down a single guy.
Everything else you can just run past if you know how to move.
