Yeah, that's the TE. I still have the HRAP EX, but that's going bye-bye now that I found this baby. It's so sweet in person.
How difficult to put the new art/removing SFIV art on it?
How difficult to put the new art on it?
Way more difficult than I originally thought, but not too difficult.

The biggest bitch was getting the buttons out and then getting them back in, luckily since the wiring is color coded it wasn't too hard.
This is my new desk from C&B. I need the bookcase to match it so it doesn't looks so skinny.

I liked it until my lady friend showed up and said it looked like a little girl's desk.
To which I replied: "No it doe............... Oh wait." :(

Suggestions on "man"-ing it up?
Write "Manly Desk" on it.

Put pictures of half naked women on it.
Put pictures of half naked women on it.
Yes!
Note: Do not use animated women.
Yes to that caveat on first quote!

You could try painting it a more neutral color like brown or tan.

Also, remove Princess Peach and that other little girl figure off there. :p

buy a new desk or add shelves with actual stuff on them, so it looks like it's used as a desk and not just there for atmosphere.

Also tested whether or not my cat would break it, or if I just blew $150.

It's cat safe.

Also, it will be partly for atmosphere.
I have built in bookshelves, and other means to place books, objects and such.
Well forget about flipping the DSi.
Saw a couple auctions end in the $150-$160 range.

Looks like I have a new blue DSi.
I had a preorder for both colors in hopes of flipping. I'm glad I canceled those.

Porn. Lots of porn. Also put a few cans of beer on it, the logo of your favorite football team, and some death metal CDs.

Or just say it's a metrosexual man's desk. ;)

Get a chainsaw. Fill it with oil messily. Cut some trees down. Set the chainsaw on your desk and let sit.

Congratulations! Your desk now smells manly! The oil stains and sawdust are just an appealing bonus.
Best desk is made from cinder blocks and plywood. fuck Ikea, ghetto construction FTW.

My desk is a piece of shit. When I move, it's getting torched.
Particle Board FTL

My desk is ruined.
I'll take another pic when it's done. Shouldn't be as girly then but instead, tasteful and minimalist.

eg. No pronz. ;)
No. Slabs of spruce. With the bark still on.
Hell yes.

Or build one out of brick, by hand. And you can use it as a brick oven when you want to cook up some bad ass pizza.

I have a real question now:

I played RE5 with my friend at his place and really, really hated the splitscreen.
What do I need for system link? I've never tried it before.

Back in the PSX days it was an actual cable connecting the two systems.

You can connect both systems to the same hub/router and play via LAN.

All you need is an ethernet cable. Doesn't matter if it's crossover or not since the 360 is smart enough to make the necessary changes to accommodate.

Dude, link cable was so fucking sweet. I had 2 TVs in my room, and we'd play Doom and Command and Conquer for hours.

I finished Fable 2 today. I was very disappointed in the ending.
I can't believe they let that fucker kill my dog. I had to pick the family ending. And I didn't even kill the final boss, Reaver did because I was too busy listening to the monologue

Even better, thanks, just what I was originally thinking.

I wondered if that would work but wasn't sure if I had an actual crossover cable anymore.

That's just one ending.

And with the Knothole Island DLC you can
get your lil buddy back.
Tokyo Beatdown is a clunky beat-'em-up.
Is there a game in the genre that it plays like? I'm trying to get a better idea of what you mean.

Dr. Crotch Kart, you're confusing me.

I hear the non-melee controls mapped to the shoulder buttons are slow/not too responsive.
Is there a game in the genre that it plays like? I'm trying to get a better idea of what you mean.
I'm not really sure what I could compare it to. Maybe Fighting Force in the sense that the game doesn't really control as well as it should.

I'll just be more specific in that the controls aren't all that responsive to the action. It gets picky sometimes when not being in front of a thug and not so picky other times, usually when shooting a gun for the latter and normal fighting for the former. Shooting a gun can be a bit frustrating when I push the L button to pull the gun out and nothing happens. Shooting a shotgun doesn't seem to have much punch when it takes three or four shots to even take out the big thugs, although these are supposed to be non-lethal guns anyway.

I'm really enjoying Stalker. I just can't figure out how to get it to run decently with any lighting on. I can play the game on maximum settings but as soon as I go above simple lighting, the framerate goes in the shitter. Even on max it's perfect with simple lighting.

I think if I can play Crysis on medium at a decent framerate, and TF2 on full real smooth I should be able to run stalker on full, right?

I got the Witcher Enhanced Edition too, but I'm gonna wait until after stalker to start that.

Hey GGT - what's the best Dynasty Warriors game for the 360? er, samurai warriors or orochi...Just the best one of whatever that series is called. I figure with a gamefly account, I can check these things out without having to pay money or waste much time :)

It doesn't really work like that...it depends on how well optimized a game is. and Stalker is not well optimized at all, so you'll get weird performance issues. Just make sure you have those patches installed and your drivers updated.

Now you've entered my area of expertise!

The two best Musou games on the 360 are Samurai Warriors 2 and Warriors Orochi 2. I'd personally go with SW2 as it still stands as my favorite in the series. Great music, well done cutscenes, nice variety in weapons, and a good leveling system. WO2 has all that minus the music and cutscenes. So it's a good game, it's just slightly less awesome than SW2.

wow... Killzone 2 has made me feel weird playing other FPSs... just started playing Resistance 2 and I have to say I'm not use to the gun movement and character movement being so stiff... it feels too lightweight.

I just started playing Saints Row 2. Played for about an hour and am about 3% in. I'm really enjoying it so far. And the story is actually good (gotten a bunch of laughs out of the game so far).
