Rare has almost universally been mediocre to garbage. The only thing that stands out is RC Pro Am and the first 2 levels of Battletoads.

DKC was just OK, KI, Goldeneye and Perfect Dark were garbage.

Dr. Marko Crotch is fucking hilarious. I need to do this little test.

Starcraft sucks ass. All Shining Force games should be dungeon crawlers.

Nintendo sucks ass. HD forever.

Take the bait.
Okay. So you didn't like the game and paid for more of that same content to hate a few months later?
I liked it somewhat. I definitely don't think it's one of those games that is worth more than it was priced like some people. I think the multiplayer is an abysmal piece of shit that should be destroyed in the fires of the sun. If I put a rating on it, I'd say a 6.5. I hated it more originally, but Sonic Unleashed kind of boosted N&B's score second-handedly.

About the new DLC, one thing I cannot comprehend is that on one of the Challenges, they punish you for making a car that is too good, so you have to scale back your car so you can stay with the rest of the field until you win. It also added more multiplayer which no one asked for.

And I don't think you've got the guts. Or the rope.

I have a six pack of Molson Ice for courage and some chains instead of rope. All I need is some red hot metal and to catch you bastards.

Are you saying that because the 2 levels were good, or because you could never beat the 3rd level?

This "The Doctor Crotchio Kart" stuff is straight out of a movie. The badguy and goodguy have the same face, and the cops don't know which one to shoot.
I don't understand the people calling for KI3. KI1 was novel at the time but horribly boring in retrospect. KI2 was a little better balanced, but still pretty bad. And that was when Rare had a better shit:good ratio.
Exactly. I was shocked to learn people actually liked KI still. I can understand if you thought it was ok at best back in the day, but now it's just plain shit.

Probably the one time I'll ever agree with you.
those n64 shooters were off the hook though. So many weekends wasted playing perfect dark or goldeneye.
This. Me , my buddy and his brother put a ton of gameplay into goldeneye , and quite a bit into Perfect Dark as well (not quite as much since it came out later). My favorite multiplayer level in goldeneye had to be the bunker with proximity mines turned on. I had memorized all the spawn points in that stage and would always grab the mines and plant all the spawn points. Then hunt everyone down to score 2 kills.
I can't believe that the bad-assness that is Conker's Bad Fur Day has not been mentioned in this debate.
In retrospect , Conkers Bad Fur Day (or Conker Live and Reloaded) might have been better suited as a parody movie than a game. The game was really funny and had some really cool parts (like the teddyz war and the matrix lobby scene) but too many parts were overly difficult mostly due to clumsy controls. Other parts just due to being cheap.

One game that I'm personally dissapointed in not being mentioned (as well as not seing a sequel or XBLA/VC port) is Blast Corps.

I agree. I wasn't enthralled with KI the way some folks were either.

Hm, I guess I could actually say that about all Rare games I've played, even the ones people place significance on like DKC and GoldenEye. They might be historically significant, but beyond some technical things done in the games themselves, I don't think I ever finished or really really enjoyed them. At least not the way some people in here have. :p

They need to make Live and Reloaded BC. I sold my XBOX to fund my 360 before I ever finished that game.

Never got passed the opera singing shit.

It is. Been on there for a while.

I think he meant playable without the high possibility of it crashing. From what I hear the original was better though, as it didn't have the bleep outs.

What they need is a sequel. A sequel spoofing newer movies/shows , better gameplay/controls yet still being funny and following the story from the first one would be excellent.

I finished it on 360 and it didn't crash once.

The censoring was the worst thing about the Xbox version.

If the censoring really bugged you that much then you can play it again uncensored. The option is unlocked after you beat it.
Anyone that has ever ordered from Deal Xtreme:
I ordered a ____ for my ds 2 weeks ago. Should I expect it soon?
Took me about a week and a half after they confirmed they shipped my order. So yea, it should be soon. Only difference is I ordered a HAIS converter for my PS3.

Didn't know that.

Wait another week or 2. They are slow and use the cheapest option for shipping from Hong Kong. I've bought from there twice and its been about 3 weeks each time.

I just finished watching the IGF coverage on Co-op. I want to make games now.
Didn't know that.
At times it was funnier censored like when they bleeped out the bat's squeaks at times.

Bummer, I'm visiting family over easter break and was hoping I'd have it.
I had no issue playing Live and Reloaded on 360. Wait, false, I had one issue. The lava-hoverboard level is redonkulous and I quit.
That was the only part of the game I truly hated. Why did they have to put that in the game? Was it really necessary?
wow... Killzone 2 has made me feel weird playing other FPSs... just started playing Resistance 2 and I have to say I'm not use to the gun movement and character movement being so stiff... it feels too lightweight.
I am have the same problem. I started playing again doing the co-op stuff with my son and I had to turn down my speed turn settings.

Was that before or after the singing shit?
Hey! When did the game collection thing on CAG go live?

Crazy!

Does this mean I don't have to use IGN for _anything_ now?
Not showing anything for me.
Was that before or after the singing shit?
After , although I can't remember how much after. I think it was like 2 or 3 acts after fighting TGMP. Then again he is one of the first few bosses.

Hmm? I'm able to add games to my collection and wishlist, and submit games. I can't click on "trade overview" without being in the beta, though.

Maybe it was the lava level I got stuck on then. That one is after the Saving Private Ryan stuff right?

You can still use IGN for The Vestibule JSP.
It's never too late.
No it isn't ;)

Wait, is live a remake of bad fur day?

Me too. Come on, Quake 2 PC and Quake 4 PC are in, but no Quake 3 PC? Also, they have Morriwind and Bloodmoon, but no Tribunal, and one Neverwinter Nights expansion but not anything else. :)

I'm sure I'll find more.

Edit: Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow only exists for PS2 according to it.

Beta only? I thought you were talking about for regular users.
A remake/upgrade of sorts. "Improved" graphics and a more fully fleshed out multiplayer mode. Otherwise the game is pretty much the same (I think).
Well now, guess I'm gonna have to hunt this game down for future purposes
StarKnight, below the CAG banner where it has the bar with your name on it, scan your eyes across until you get to "Games."
:dunce: I was trying to use the tab at the top.

Puma , if you fully completed the Saving Private Ryan chapter then all you should have left is the Matrix chapter and the last boss.

Damn, I was really close.

Too bad I'll be starting all over.

EDIT:
18 bucks Gamestop? Really? It's an Xbox 1 game!
