Going to an art school and being someone who uses mostly PC is a sin... almost.

Personally, I don't see Mac or PC being better than the other. I mainly care if I can run something or not (usually the line comes in the form of indie games), and if I have a right mouse button (essential for most adobe shit I use). I use two button mouses when on macs... I feel like I don't have fingers when I have one of those one button mouses.

:lol: it's stupid how many iPhones I see in gallery nights and at school... so yeah, artists seem like they need macs. silly.

it's a game that came out a while ago on the PSP in japan. it was good and i always wanted it to come stateside so I'm happy. Oh, and it's not a port, but an original game.

Steambot Chronicles on the PS2 was actually pretty damn unique even if the controls didn't work. I mean a music based mech game with great character interaction is pretty damn unique.

I got pretty far on my review copy beofore I had to sell it due to lack of funds.

Seconded. And I love how it's PC vs. Mac. PC = Personal Computer, and what are Macs? Personal Computers. It's really Windows vs. Mac. And now that they are both running on the same hardware, Macs are definitely just another PC. ;)

BTW,
OSX runs fast as hell on my PC.

Don't know why I passed this over when it was released, it's awesome.

I have both a PC and a Mac, both at home and at work.

I'm really dreading having to build this video editing PC at home, but I ain't encoding shit on my puny Athlon XP. :p
 
I think it's adorable that y'alls are bitching about how snotty and defensive mac users are.

It's even more adorable when it takes place in the context of a mac vs pc debate where the mac users aren't participating at all.

Why is it stupid that you see so many? It's an amazing piece of technology... I'm even thinking about re-upping my contract to upgrade to a 3G model and then selling my original to recoup my costs.

For fun, go into an Apple store or the Apple section at Best Buy. I love it.

Dude was like "So when is DDR3 going to be standard on PCs, hmm?" I wanted to say "When Dell forces the sheep to have DDR3," but I didn't. I said, "Well, Intel has had DDR3 motherboards for a while, and AMD finally has AM3 that uses DDR3. So I guess it'll become standard when it's cheap enough for the mainstream."

I love my iphone to pieces. I just want speedier connections when I'm not on wifi. And some of the features 3.0 gives that apparently my "hardware" does not support.
 
End of semester = end of gaming for me. Managing to play a few hours of SFIV a week. And been playing a little bit of Cave Story. Its good shit. Thats it :(

And I love my iPod Touch to death.

I think, as a phone, the Pre will trump the iphone. As an entertainment device, the iPhone will be better. Does that make sense?
 
I like how good the speaker phone is on my iPhone. I can sit the phone in the middle console of my Jeep and still have the person on the other end of the line hear me perfectly.

No, because I use my iPhone as a phone and not an entertainment device. ;) Except for web-browsing. But that's not necessarily entertainment... Chika has played more games on my iPhone than I have, I think. Hell, she's better at Topple than I am. :)

Does it not bug you doing the phone stuff without any kind of keyboard? Typing shit on there is a nightmare. I text faster on my Razr than I can type with the iPhone keyboard.

I wish people would take the iDevice more seriously as a gaming platform.

I can type very fast on the iPhone keyboard... better than needing to use the iTap or whatever... it took Chika forever to explain to me how the fucking system worked for that. This is especially true since I modded my iPhone keyboard. :)
 
The iPhone is not a good phone. The speaker is so low you can hardly hear it, and that's on the 3G, too. It takes so long to navigate the various menus, especially when it freezes up (which is quite often). And even on a basic cell phone, you can instantly dial any phone number. Forget about doing that on the iPhone.

Besides the flaws in the phone itself, it seems everywhere I turn there are people staring mindlessly into their iPhone. It does not bode well.
 
So I played some Halo 3 tonight. Not the Mythic playlist, lord no. For some reason, Halo 3 has come down with Gears2 syndrome of sitting there for minutes on end without being able to put me into a match.

Now here's an observation: Either the quality of Halo 3 players has gone down significantly or I've gotten a lot better. Now I think it's the former since I'm not that good, but I'm good enough to get positive k/d ratios now.

I got an iPhone because I wanted a smartphone that would allow me to browse the web and check my email anywhere. And I didn't want any of the phones like Blackberrys or Palms. So, it does that and adds some other nifty features, so I'm entirely satisfied.

Yeah, I hate trying to type on my friends' iPhones as well. Much prefer the physical QWERTY keyboard on my Voyager.

But I also have no use for a smartphone. Get bombarded with e-mails from students etc. enough as it is, so the last thing I want is to have my e-mail with me everywhere I go. No desire for net access everywhere either.

My phone is just for calls and texts.
 
I do hope that it's true that Perfect Dark is coming to XBLA, which strong indications point to being true.

The new KZ2 map pack looks fun... the train still reminds me too much of Gears but not enough to ruin it for me.
 
how much do you guys pay for 3G service on smartphones? I usually go for basic phones since I just use them for...phonecalls...but I considered getting a blackberry or something like that at some point.

Why? I'm aware that FF7's story wasn't that good so it's not like you're missing much by not being able to understand it, but the gameplay isn't exactly good either.

I'm sorry to be a broken record here, but your opinion on everything is filtered through, and mitigated by, your unabashed love for Lady GaGa. Even if you said which breakfast cereal you preferred, it would be questionable.
