Oh, I am. What a pain in the ass. But I don't mind, more money for me. ;)

Besides, what else do I have to do on a Saturday night?
SFIV? VF5?
*packs xbox, girlfriend, food, beer, clothing, and toys into a box and sends it to Maklershed*

You sure do want a lot, old man. :robot:
You'd do that .. for me?! I do the dance of joy.

(also, the beer and the girlfriend will be enough)

Are you shitting me? Last chapter of Mirrors Edge and it keeps ducking freezing on me.

What the Relento!

I'm trying out new curses.

EDIT: so I finished It. What a dumb game. Most wasted potential since Kane and Lynch confirmed. And apparently I shot someone, because despite not using guns and making everything harder I didn't get the trophy. Okay, whatever. fuck you, then.

Finished Guadia Quest and, consequently, Retro Game Challenge. I can haz sequel now?

What the fuck GGT? Why we so slow?

So my gaming update, more coherent because I'm on the PC instead of the Touch:

-Playing through RE4, old school on the Gamecube. Because I only own that version. Chapter 4.

-Finished my Veteran run on RE5. Gonna work on getting all the unlockable weapons once I get back to it, but taking a break from it for now.

-Finished Mirror's Edge. I don't understand this. I didn't like it. I hated fighting people. I hated being indoors. I want a game where I'm a little Asian chick who runs on rooftops and it's fun. That's what they sold me on. That's what I wanted.

-Finished Retro Game Challenge. Fantastic little game, I really hope the sequel comes over here. Guadia Quest was really fucking fun, after I stopped being lost in the first dungeon for an hour.

-This level in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts has killed the game for me. It's the plant-y one, the one the entrance to is in the Uptown area.

-Prince of Persia is very pretty and fun to play.

Mirror's Edge was a lot of fun. Yeah the fighting was bad, but shit, that game is unique and I'd imagine a sequel would make huge improvements.
Prince of Persia IS very pretty but its only fun for so long. If you ask me it gets really repetitive and has a terrible ending.
I'd even stretch that 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand is more fun than Prince Of Persia. Because it never takes itself seriously and its fucking fun.

Woah! I just checked my one e-mail account that's linked to my gamertag (I don't use it for personal stuff) and found that I got 400 MS Points from MS for when I got a 12 month subscription to Live back in January. The code has been sitting in my inbox for two months now.

Hope it still works?

Got 3 or 4 hours of Fable II in tonight. I'm still digging it a lot. Not the greatest game, but it's fun to play. Combat is simple and fun and there's a lot of crap to do in the world with quests etc.--even without bothering with the marriage and other sim stuff.

The marriage seemed really tacked onto Fable 2, I felt like Fable 1's love system was a little more intricate. But, that's probably because I can't remember what it was like. It's just lame that you can marry a chick and half the towns people in the first 2 minutes of getting to a new town. And just by dancing...

You're right, all multiplatform games should go in General Gaming.
Well, now that someone agrees with me - I feel like an ass for complaining. Thanks though :)

fuck.... been out all night going to local art gallerys...

every second saturday here in "flashy" miami there's a huge opening of all art galleries in a small area called wynwood. basically anyone and everyone who wants to "be important" or just party/get drunk is out to look at art (with very few actually caring about the art). I DJed a bit tonight but I'm exausted.

I had some video work up I'm sure you all have seen (that Mr. Walrus crap I did  I hate that thing now) that a few hundred people came to see for a video show.

Art gallery opnings in Miami are not what you see in movies or TV, it's more like basically huge block parties with art in between >_<

I came home tonight to find Resistance Retribution from gamefly... I have a gamefly Resistance 2 which I beat 2 nights ago so I infected that bitch. So far it's fun but I'm not too impressed.
Well, now that someone agrees with me - I feel like an ass for complaining. Thanks though :)
It was a legit complaint, it's only logical all multiplatform games go into General Gaming.

If that's the case, then the topic should exist in the forum for the corresponding system(s) it's going to be released on which would just be stupid.

2x Red Faction topics
2x Bayonetta topics
2x Ghostbusters topics
2x Batman Arkham Asylum topics
2x BlazBlue topics (naw, FGT has this one covered)

Get my point?
Yes, there should be two threads for each game. The communities are different, even if the games are the same.
That's understandable for a game that is released* and is also online centered. But, we really have no idea what is happening with Assassins Creed 2 - it's premature to start platform centric threads.

*scratch that, if a game is not centered around online (COD4, Left 4 Dead ect.) then there really is no point in having separate threads...

The communities being different doesnt have anything to do with whether the games have online content. There are 360 owners and there are PS3 owners. They should be going to as few subforums as possible to get platform specific content.

Its too messy to draw such a distinction and have them go to two different subforums.

To the extent that people are part of both communities, then they can go to two different subforums if they like.

I would be fine with having 360/PC/PS3 as a subforum for a HD gaming subforum, as long as the same thing isnt asked for other multiplatform, like gba/psp, or ds/psp or ps2/psp, etc. Its not the optimal solution, but since it does not affect me, they are welcome to it.

When you start grouping that many things together, you might as well eliminate all subforums and just go with the GAF style Gaming forum, where individual threads dont stay on the first page for very long.

Wow, the site looks so much better than before. Too bad I'm not a member anymore.

So...I was thinking about getting this game that I vaguely know the mechanics of. I don't get the whole "real time" thing in the sense that if I play for an hour, come back 5 hours later, it's been 6 hours total in game, so I could potentially lose out on something I missed. I don't know if that's true or not, but it's just the feeling I get.

I forgot to mention that it's Dead Rising.

Yup. The fact that what Mirror's Edge was supposed to be was only 1/3 of the entire game is what made ME an awful game.

Mirror's Edge is fun for what, 30 minutes? The indoor/80 motherfuckers shooting at you portions that made up 67% of the game made it terrible.

PoP stinks.

Yeah I saw this story on a bunch of gaming blogs.

and the comments on each one was "looks like oblivion". Then the next comment. "No oblivion with guns".

Either, way its an interesting mod (even if it ruins the mood the devs were going for, but thats the point of mods, right?).

Dead Rising does that? I don't remember that at all. I knew you only had 3 days to do whatever you had to to do. and the save game/mission structure was HORRIBLE.

I think I got about 3/4 of the way through 3 or 4 times and just gave up because its so frustrating with respawning bosses (courtyard hooligans in the jeep)

That's not how Dead Rising works. There's an ingame clock that runs faster than real life, and you have 72 in game hours to do shit. Kind of like Majora's Mask.

And there's no problem with save systems. There are save points around the mall. You save at them. People just get pissed because they die before saving and are pussies. And because you can't complete all the missions in one playthrough.

Got dat Valkyria Chronicles from dat GaymeDayz!

I thought some of the segments with dudes shooting at you in Mirror's Edge were fun. When it was just like 3 guys staggered throughout a parking garage, there was actually some fun strategy involved in planning out how to take them down. but then shit like the SERVER ROOM god just shoot me in the head.

the platforming was good, but what you do in the first level is what you do in the rest of the game. It's not quite auto-platforming like Prince of Persia/Ass Creed and it's fun enough for as long as the game lasts, but I can't see a sequel. If they do a sequel, it needs all kinds of crazy shit--they need to get out of the whole realism thing.

I'd remove a few '>' in between 50 Cent and Mirror's Edge, but that's pretty much accurate.

Oh, okay. I never really understood it well. If someone said it was like Majora's Mask I would've been like 'oh, I love Majora's Mask, I'll get it'.
Looks like gamefly updated their website... it's way better than before IMHO
Wow, you're right, I like their old style though since I had gotten so used to it but I'll adjust.

Still doesn't explain your blind fanboyism towards a game that was mediocre at best. I mean you could give me a real answer rather than attack my musical interests.

I had assumed that maybe his interest on downloading the game was more because it would be cheaper to download it from the PSN then it would be to track down a physical english copy.

I agree with it would be hard to see a sequel, due to it being like a one trick pony. And also their DLC was a total bust... so I doubt they'll try anything more.

The game was really enjoyable, I liked the whole mechanic of feeling like you are really running across these roof tops and I think that the game really stands on its own and doesn't need a sequel to "explain" anything.
No.

Where the hell have you been, darknessbear? This is how it has been for years on CAG.

The CAG community decided long ago they wanted a thread for each system.

Well, a few CAG's (myself included) think it's not the most organized way to do things, especially with the minor differences of pretty much every single game coming out.

Why would you want one thread? If the game has multiplayer and people are playing it.. it would be kind of a nuisance to post up what version of the game you're playing every single time as opposed to just going into the system specific thread and saying "anybody up for a game right now?" If I bought a game for 360, I'd rather just read through the 360 side of it rather than sift through the PS3 posts.
