Oh lame, I thought it would be something like Arc Rise Fantasia. Thanks for the info and pretty pictures.
BLASPHEMER!!

Seriously, I can't comment on the 360 version but the PS2 Mushihimesama is one of my favorite shmups of all the times. Golden beetle of death son.
Cybernator on SNES is fun.
Yea, but Target Earth (aka Assault Suit Leynos) was FKEN HARD. You could easily go down in the first minutes of the first stage even with some skill. Even then, that was still fun to play...to an extent.
Maklershed's randumb game thought of the day:

Not many people comment on it but I was just thinking that there are some terrifying moments in Half Life 2:

Walking into the second part of Ravenholm and hearing those dog/people zombies howl, hearing those gunships attack and the weird noise it makes, and when you’re in Sandtraps on the railroad tracks and you hear the train horn blast and you can see it coming in the distance.
I'm kinda mixed with regards to Ravenholm. On the one hand, yes, it had a cool atmosphere and lots of gravity gun fodder. But on the other hand, I can only come across so many rooms filled with nothing but rusted saw blades and think, "Okay, Valve. I get it. You have harnessed the powers of physics. Can we move on now?"

I definitely agree with Ravenholm.. I tend to play games with all of the lights out and the sound up. Freaked me out good.
 I forgot I had Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 on my Gamefly Q and now it shipped.
My condolences.

I expect the US boxart to be shit compared to this one:

I look very much forward to the game though I never played the first. I'm always impressed at the presentation of the first though.

^^ Nice.

All I remember about Red Dead Revolver was that I wanted to like it so bad but the controls and camera were awkward and frustrating. If the gameplay was tighter, it would've been badass.

I think Redemption could actually live up to it's title, though.
Thinking about robot games, a Gundam Wing game with a Z.O.E. 2-style game engine would be amazing.
Anything with Gundam Wing can't be amazing. Well to be fair, as long as they kept the actual pilots out of it, but used the suits I'd be fine.
My condolences.
Whatever. Just got done going through Kamille's official mode, and the improvements made from the sequel are very nice. The combo system has been fixed so now it's more in line with DW/SW (I like how combos and even SP attacks change completely whether or not you're in the air), the clash system is new and one I like better than all the other Musou games (though SW2 still wins in the clash animation category), and the new way you fight larger enemies is a lot of fun. Plus for fans of the anime the official modes have been beefed up with more of the story. My only problem is that there's no Japanese voice option, which makes no sense. It was in the first one, why not have it in the second? Oh and where's the classic Gundam music?

If you liked the first one, definitely get this one it's quite the improvement. If you like the Musou games, give it a try. If you didn't like the first one, or Musou games in general, then don't bother.

It's using the GTAIV engine so I'm already liking where it's headed. Even if it's just GTAIV on horses, that'll make me happy.

I wonder how you'll "carjack" a horse heh
that's awesome inf :)

I saw your preview vids, then I saw this, then I was like :hot::idea:

I'm in the mood to see on stage demonstrations of games that go wrong. So far I've watched Jade Raymond walking through AC (where that guy floats and she awkwardly laughs) and I watched Wii Fit balance board demonstration problem... oh and Wii Music. Anyone got any other videos? (Doesn't have to be game related - just on stage embarrassments.. )
Just beat Resistance retribution from gamefly... definitly was more fun that Resistance 2.
I guess you mean the campaign portion, not the co-op or multiplayer part.

How about that Sony guy with the Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidge Racer and the Giant Enemy Crab.

(I'd post a link but I can't see videos on this comp)

Dbear, there was a demonstration of some mind-control game input device, where the demonstration didn't work at all. I wish I could remember more than that, but it's probably worth looking up if you can find it.

That game sucks.

I still don't know why no Gundam series have ripped off ZOE2's control style. I just makes so sense. Hell, ANY giant robot license.

Two questions.

1. Has anyone played Code Avalon for DS? I believe that's what it's called.
Saw it yesterday at the store and it looked interesting.

2. I've never played a Fire Pro Wrestling game. Which one would be the best to play first? I know there's on for PSX in the JPN store, and that PS2 version from about a year ago.
They've always looked like fun, like all the 2D wrestling games I used to play.
The only 3D one I liked was that one on N64, don't remember which.

The PS2 one in the US is probably cheaper on the whole than the PSOne in the JPN store.

If you're a button-masher, you suffer. If not, it's super fun.

Though I never understood those weirdos who would have high-difficulty CPU vs CPU matches, tape them, and upload them to YouTube. That's some weird-ass shit right there.

There used to be a game where I'd watch CPU vs CPU matches as a little kid.
Might have been a football game to see if the Cowboys would win the Superbowl that year.

So Fire Pro has timed moves and specific combos and such? That sounds cool.
Yeah, I'm used to the "mash X to hit" type games.

combos? nope.

it's all about timed button presses from the lock-up position. animation-specific.

also endurance-specific. can't pull off the big moves until the opponent is worn down.

very simple, but very difficult.

Wing had great robots and very fast action. Gundam X looked like it had some cool designs as well. 08th MS is my favorite but it was too slow, maybe it could become an Armored Core game. Out of the few series I've seen (Wing, X, 08th MS, the original and G Gundam), I think Wing is the best series for a game. To be fair, Z.O.E. 1 and 2 had terrible stories and awful translations, remember Leo?

I have played a bit of it and it's pretty good. I'm still near the beginning, so I don't know how good it is yet, but it's at least a bit different than most other RPGs out there.

Hey! Screw you for judging meeeeeee!

Nah, I've never uploaded anything. I did spend a great deal of time setting up and then watching CPU-CPU tournaments on the Dreamcast Firepro just to see who the best all-around wrestler was. Jumbo Tsuruta won pretty easily.

I think the CPU-CPU phenomenon is caused by people getting so good at fighting the computer that it is no longer challenging. There's a FAQ all about trying to do crazy stuff in the game. I'm not credited but I'm the one that came up with the SCSA vs. nWo match.
