Anyone in here have any interest in a The Dark Knight (blu ray) giftbox set if I end up looking to get rid of it? Outside packaging is damaged pretty bad, but the bat-pod looks 100% in-tact... Never been opened. If it strikes your fancy, let me know.
I once again, ask... anyone know a site or B&M deal that gets Fallout 3 (360) for a good price? I'd rather own it than have it from gamefly.
Gamestop 25% off coupon for 360 games (lasts until Thursday) + edge card = ~$38
Ugh now I fear E3. Are MS and Sony going to debut awful motion control options that will be forgotten in 6 months? I'd rather they just show some games.
Haha yes, but it should be hilariously entertaining regardless.

I'm not 100% sure yet, but I may be going to the Sony conference so that would be cool. *fingers crossed*

What I expect that each party needs to do in order to come out strong at E3:

Nintendo: Talk mostly hardcore and franchise titles (they talked mainstream last two E3s, so if it's casual again this year, Nintendo fans will lose alot of faith)

Microsoft: Announce a ton of new IPs, continuation of strong franchises/titles, and show off stuff we haven't seen and don't know about. Please don't emphasize motion body control. Also, a few Surprise XBLA titles will help.

Sony: Show off PSP GO!, emphasize digital distribution, emphasize PS1 classics (no worries ;) ), show many exclusives and a few exclusive unknowns (ie. Team ICO game).

to be honest, I expect this E3 to be great, but I expect at least one of the 3 to fuck up and two to be strong.

Nintendo: New Zelda, some bullshit that's gonna sell millions and infuriate the hardcore kids in the process. Wii Sewing, I guess.

Microsoft: New takes on franchises, new Forza, emphasis on Halo ODST, and little else.

Sony: PSP Go, and then the first public display of pants-shitting when they realize they forgot to support the console by putting out DD software for it. Kaz explodes with the announcement of a new Genji title.

Oh, who am I kidding? They're going to release like 100+ PSOne titles, announcer software-based PS2 BC for all PS3 models, and bring Gears of War to the PS3.

I, for one, can't fuckin' wait. Truth be told, they're all gonna suck ass this year. Not that I'm a cynic or anything.

Ah yeah, I forgot about Sony and MS doing their own motion control gimmicks. I dunno why they even bother. It's so late in the game and I know I for one am sick of that garbage. I don't know what the future of video game interaction is going to be, but motion control is not it--not for me anyways.

I'm sure they will both make like it's a bigger deal than it really is, of course.

I'm down for a new Forza, though.

The only gimmick I've seen that has potential that hasn't been overdone yet is the R&D sony is doing with 3D... it's cheap/affordable to the public and it's mind blowing.

Yeah... super shitty... Nintendos was so boring I started to ignore it for a while doing other things...

well... random news, but Patapon T-shirts in HOME, free Thurs... at least I can wear shit that actually I like alot in HOME... and salsa in them... >_

Hm, I wonder how long it takes Amazon to get their download codes up for XBLA? I've been waiting for them to get Virtual On up so I can use my coupon/credit, but no luck yet.
Why can't those damn coupons ever be used online? No GS in my area.

I am really hating mass effects combat.
I'm with you on Mass Effects combat. The skill system and telling your comrades what to do is so bonked. I'm just pissed I'm a vanguard cause I never use skills, they are more trouble than they're worth - and the lack of zoom is a pain.

BUT, the story and dialogue is amazing (I'm playing through the game right now), it is a little too amazing at times though cause I get lost (especially if you havent played for a bit).

"The Xeculars are establishing protogonian fissures that the Gorinils are opposed of - this is why the Chiorokikios are fighting the Chorokoo's. They are using Propro's to push out the Chioro's home Kolablay and the Xeculars are following selling the protasim Orlo in hopes of achieving total Mass unity with the Narka x101."

*is confused, sits in the Codex menu for 50 minutes trying to figure out what the hell they just said*

Good E3s: the one where they announced Twilight Princess.
Bad E3s: all the other ones.
Solution: new Zelda every year. On every console. And PC.

It's foolproof, people.

A pokemon MMO would suffice.

At this point, I'm still not sure if Nintendo has a big enough grasp of the concept of "online," at least with the Wii. If they don't announce anything for the DS, then I'll be happy, since I'm fine with the current lineup they have.

Wow, awesome score. I'll check it out, thanks.

crazy... don't care for the game but crazy... must be news from the Australia press event.

supposedly a different TV service is going to be added to PS3 as well... but don't now if it's AU only.

I think you might be missing something important here. What this means is that Sony is willing to buy exclusives now, and in turn, probably away from Microsoft to make them multiplatform.

Nah, I don't see that as Sony buying the exclusivity. But, just a way to bundle the game with the movie - Sony still owns the rights to Ghostbusters the movie right?

Yes, Sony owns the movie rights. It'd be pretty stupid of Sony (all branches) to not have a PS3/game/movie/remote bundle when it comes out.

I hate to say it but I can see MS going hard for gimmicky bullshit like motion control, trying to get a piece of Wii's action. It's not gonna work though. Sony and MS might as well face it, in the current iteration of the PS3/360, they're not going to grab the casual audience. They might as well focus on the core and duke it out in that realm.

Microsoft - PLEASE don't take up your E3 conference time with garbage like "You're in the Movies"

"You're on TV"

You heard it here first.

I played soldier because I wanted to be able to use every weapon, and online it said they have regenerating health.

I'd like the combat more if there was a whole lot more Medical gel shit. It is a little more bearable now that I've put it on easy.

Anyone want to play Halo 3 tonight? After not really playing anything Halo related for a year, and playing shit like gears and COD, I'm really enjoying it.

Not me.

I hope E3 brings the noise and the funk, because there isn't much I want this year outside of fighters. Not that I'm complaining too much about that.
Wait...people wanted to play Ghostbusters?
I'm kind of interested in it. But I have no plans to buy it for now since I have other games I want.

Anyone seen this story from the UK ?

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/view/79556/Knife-victim-wrote-his-killer-s-name-in-blood-

It's typical UK tabloid coverage but basically this dude from Germany was talking to a guy from the UK and his G/F on an Advanced Wars forum. German dude falls in love with the girlfriend, starts visiting the UK to stalk them, (why we let germans into the UK in the first place I don't know) they let him stay for a couple of nights ( serious lack of judgement) and he ends up stabbing the Uk guy.

So the moral of the story is don't let random people from Forums into your house, or if you do, make sure you make them promise that they won't stab you.

I hope it plays differently from Revolver as I didn't like that game.

I've got a 'different car' bug and think I'm gonna trade in my car for an SLK. Test drove a few but UGH, they're almost all AUTOMATICS!!!
Really want a hard top but I don't think I can drive an automatic.

I've always thought that a really cool pokemon game would be one where you actually fight as the pokemon themselves.

For anyone thats ever watched the show and played the games (which is probably just about everyone) I know I always found it kinda annoying how in the show the pokemon use all these different tactics when fighting like dodging and using the arena itself and stuff , but in the games you can't do anything like that , you just give commands and watch things unfold. I want to see a game where you play as the pokemon and get to run around the arena , fighting and dodging attacks , kind of like a action/fighting game.

CoD4 and Gears mp are not "shit".
