MS: B+ (they just did what they had to do)
Sony: B (more gameplay and you coulda had a B+)
Nintendo: D (hour and a half and so few new games)
What would MS had to have done to garner an A from you?

Grabbing MGS is impressive enough already.
I think a more generous way of "reviewing" these conferences is that they all stepped up compared to last year's conferences.
I strongly agree. Nintendo I would normally say that wouldn't apply, but it was so bad last year that today was automatically stronger.

I like how Jack just randomly threw in Lost Planet 2 info... he had to force it in somewhere...

Now all I wanna hear is Namco news and I'm set with E3... the rest is just icing.
MS - A-
Sony - B (cut the fat, give us the games)
Nintendo - D+ (Metroid saved them from an F)
You think Metroid pushed Nintendo's otherwise horrible conference up nearly two letter grades? D- at the highest.

why? its not exclusive and just a side story

I explained all that yesterday.

It's still impressive to have Kojima making a game on the 360(exclusive or not). I know a few MGS fans who will be happy about that.

Some footage would've helped.

Yep. I'm one of them.

Still upset that the MGS3 sequel is on a piece of shit portable.

So while I hate how it looks, out of all the motion control shit all people have, sony's seems to be the one that actually works. I like the idea that MS is trying but you have to admit it is weird playing a game with nothing to hold and just your hands.

I thought you liked ur PSP?

I geuss the minority just got smaller.

I liked Nintendo's a bit more than Sony's, since Nintendo seemed to get straight to the point. Sony kept showing off montages, and most of the speakers sounded pretty unenthusiastic.

Sony had a rockin' lineup though. Way better than Nintendo's (which wasn't all that terrible).

That does suck, I wouldn't mind so much if it was it's own game.

I like my PSP for PSP games.

The sequel to one of my favorite games, I don't want to play on a portable.

As a 360 owner I WANT that one to work the best, but so far the PS3 motion thing seems to be the most practical. Natal sure is the most ambitious of the bunch but I can't help but get horrible flashbacks of Totemball. Time will tell I guess. I wonder if any games will use Natal + Controller gameplay or if they'll stick to an all or nothing deal?

Okay, from that perspective I agree. I will say it'll probably be a very good (great?) PSP game, but not sure if it will be a worthy sequel. Plus Baus is buff as fuck now.

I think the best thing to do is just avoid discussion till E3 is over. I might just do a Strell and leave CAG discussion for a bit.

I don't see how anyone can say Sony topped Microsoft. They showed nothing that made me say, I need a PS3 besides The Last Guardian. And they announced $250 PSP Go!

Now I'm thinking about getting a UMD PSP. Go! is $80 more, every game I will have to buy MSRP, and comes out October 1st when my college starts at the end of August.

I am skeptical about Natal being properly implemented in games... but navigating the dashboard like one of those computers in Minority Report is gonna be cool!

I'm probably like the 18th person to make that Minority Report observation but I haven't been around this thread much.

This “newer” version of TvC, currently dubbed Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, removes one character due to licensing issues, and adds five new ones, online gameplay, more mini-games and an enhanced story mode.

Cool, don't know who was cut though.
Glad it was only 1.

Is that new Team Ico game going to run faster than 10 fps and not have caked on motion blur this time around?

Either way, I'm sure it'll be a solid game.

It depends on ur taste. MS and Sony are even, but depending on what you are looking for one will offer more for your taste than the other.

I'll just say my favorite part of MS thing yesterday was all The Beatles stuff.

It's safe to say that it will probably be a Tatsunoko character. And It's nice to hear that they are adding a few characters to the roster... It looked a little small to me when I saw GiantBomb's Quick Look.
Cool, don't know who was cut though.
Glad it was only 1.
Nice. Most of those Tatsu$$$$$$ characters look the same anyway. Love Ryu/Chun Li in that game.

I think you mean hakushon daimao and no. His special is terrible. He swings you around in circles, lands on your chest, then farts. :whistle2:|

Sony sort of matched Microsoft in my hype meter. Both Sony and Microsoft shit all over Nintendo for me. I haven't been this uninterested in anything Nintendo in...well, ever.

I like how Sony flashed all those multiplatform games up to make it seem like they had more than they really did. The stuff that was exclusive/first party was really quality, though. At least, it was all stuff I'm interested in.

I'm not at all interested in PSPGo. Especially at that $250 price point. Holy crap, that's ridiculous. I didn't get a PSP for that much the first time it came out at that price, there's no way I'm gonna do that now. Then again, a lot of people did grab $250 PSPs at launch, so I guess they are banking on that happening all over again.

Nice, only game I saw from the conferences that I want to play but is 360 exclusive is Splinter Cell Conviction. Alan Wake wasn't doing much for me from the video.

New Super Mario Bros Wii looked nice as well, the vibe was more Mario 3 than New SMB, which felt very Super Mario World flavored. Definitely more to my liking.
It must be a pretty good conference so far for Rolento since there hasn't been a single picture of Jade Raymond floating around.
I'll be honest and say that when sony pulled up Assasins Creed 2 on their screen and Jack started to announce guests I was like "Aww shit... please don't."

and then Jade didn't come out, so I was happy :bouncy:

AC2 looks great though, I'm more interest in it than the first.
Got an U2 beta invite, and didn't purchase infamous.

neat?
