Resistance: Retribution is pretty fun using a DS3, but it's a real pain in the dick to set up. I have to quit and re-load in the PSP game every time I want to use the DS3 again.

I'm quite impressed with Trials HD so far. Just wish more people on my friends list had it, so I could compare leaderboard times.

C'mon man, Shadow Complex is in like 3 days. If I can get my xbox resurrected, that's entirely a second one purchase. :)

grr.. your Trials HD times are always a couple hundredths of a second faster than mine.

I do agree that Turtles In Time is a bit of a disappointment, but its still enjoyable enough with friends.

I'm going to go with no.

MvC2 is probably better than anything that was released last summer. SC has a chance to be excellent. TMNT seems to be generally disliked and I personally didn't like 'Splosion man or Trials.

Looking at last summer, the only game I didn't eventually end up with was Braid.

Braid was last year?

Last year > This year.

I'll try Trials HD demo tonight per Mak's suggestion, and try the Shadow Complex demo later this week to see if it lives up to people's hype.

You're basing that solely on Braid? :puke:
SC looks to be fan-fucking-tastic. I could really use a good metroidvania style game to play through.

glad my scores are beating urs :D:lol:
course a ton of ppl added on me gaf and they have even more ridiculous scores
what the fuck... my TE fightstick just shit it's pants. the joystick stopped responding completely. :(
Maybe you set your Joystick to Right Stick, making it unresponsive. Don't know, though.

I guess I'm halfway through Final Fantasy 6 right now, although I'm not certain. I'm about to enter
Vector again
if that's any indication of where I am.

Finished Fable 2 - that was pretty good.

Brothers in Arms:HH isn't bad, for $5 at best buy. It makes me think a lot for a WW2 shooter.

Going to see District 9!

This year's Summer of Arcade is easily worse than last year's lineup. The only great games this year are Splosion Man and probably Shadow Complex while Geometry Wars 2, Bionic Commando, Braid, and Castle Crashers were great.

What? Trials HD and MVC2 aren't great?

The only non-great game this year is Turtles in Time.

I'm not saying this year is better than last (it's not), but it's still pretty close.

MvC2 is not a game for everyone. The learning curve is really high. It's also an 8 year old port (I forget when it came out, I want to say 2001). Trials HD is also really difficult, and its' counterpart can be bought much cheaper on PC.

trials hd is worth it and luckily the devs are getting the sales they deserve for once despite the $15 price point :bouncy:

Is it that easy to switch? I don't even know where that switch was... all I know is I did a ultra combo with zangief to finish stage 3, hit start to skip the post match BS and pre match BS and then held up-right to try to jump roundhouse. zangief didn't jump. :\

Trials HD is not great, at least not for me.
But I'll also throw 'Splosion man into "not great" to hang out with Trials and Turtles.

I've enjoyed all the summer arcade titles so far, TMNT being the worst, easily.

Anyone in here ever ordered anything large from GS.com?

I'm thinking of ordering a replacement TE fightstick from them and I'm unsure if I should go with the free ship option (don't want to spend $10+ on shipping)...

If I go with the free ship option, if it comes in pieces, will I be able to return it? Can I return online GS.com purchases to my local GS store if it's defective?

I ordered my TE from them. SAVER got me 3-day UPS shipping.....and it comes with a label so you could ether return it to GS.com or use your Invoice they include to return it to the store

fuck.

They charge tax on GS credit online? What a bunch of bullshit. Goddammit.

Is there not some warranty on the tournament stick? I thought it had a year warranty. I'd just call and get it replaced instead of dropping more money.

Well, there's a switch on it like the fightpad, although I'm not sure where it is.

From what I could find, after you mentioned this, it's on the small panel where the turbo controls are. I'm pretty sure that didn't get flipped. 360 on the joystick x2 + LB or whatever is the top right button the fightstick (had it set to LP+MP+HP) followed by two presses of the start button... hand went nowhere near that little toggle switch.

From what I hear, and what I could see, dealing with Mad Catz CS is a bunch of balls. They have very limited PST hours M-F. I'd be willing to wager they'd require me to send it in and pay the shipping on it. Instead, I just returned it to GS for the full amount. Now I have my $150 in GS credit back, but I have no in on a stick, mostly, unless I want to pay the sales tax I wouldn't get charged in store. Not a lot of $, but it's the principle of the thing.

I had a TE stick. It fucked up. I returned it. I shouldn't have to pay more to the same store for the same thing. fuck you and your trying to charge me sales tax when I'm using store credit.

The multiplayer in Transformers 2 isn't half bad. The transforming and the fact that every character is a little bit different with 2 different weapons, a special, and a different vehicle adds a nice bit of strategy to playing to your characters niche.

Need to get playin more splosion man, MvC2, and Trials today, but fuck, going back to work after a week of vacation is hard.

US embargo has been lifted for shadow complex reviews and theyve all been aces
definitely going to go dl the full game instead of bothering with the demo

I've been saying it's "second 1" for weeks! :whee:
I really, really want Shadow Complex. But I only have like 800 points. :[

Maybe Amazon will sell it for like $10...
u can buy 400 points off the zune marketplace(points are universal so they work with xbl)

also yay for having a lil over 16k in points

The 4000 points for 30.00 deals floating around helped.

I also took advantage of the Target deal a couple weeks back. I had a 20.00 gift card so I put out 30.00 for 60.00 in points.
as soon as its out im gonna have to get tmnt as well so i can get the rebate
Unless you really want TMNT, it's flawed logic.

TMNT is 800 points. Buying TMNT will refund you 800 points. So unless you want TMNT, spending the points and waiting for the rebate is kind of pointless.

getting the rebate will make tmnt even more free than it already is so i might as well since im sitting on a ridiculous stash of points

Look at Undertow. That was undeniably FREE. And it just takes up space on my HDD because I don't like it. If you don't really like the game or plan to play it... *shrug*

Besides, you'd be encouraging the developers. Bad Nelo. Bad! ;)
