If you want easy RE5, you want Infinite Hand Cannon ammo. Also, Infinite Rocket Launcher is pretty broken as well, but I think IHCA is a bit better since you don't have to worry about splash damage, only kickbacks.
Yeah, I made the the S&W M29 the second one I got Infinite Ammo for and finished off my play through last night. If I decide to run through it again I'll probably go for the M500 next as it has a good bit more power (5000 max vs. 3200 on the M29). But it's like 20,000 points to get infinite--I have it mostly fully upgraded.

But there's not really anything else I care to unlock. Only thing I used besides the shotgun and Magnum was the Rifle which I have fully upgraded. But I always have plenty of ammo for it anyway.

I may give it a shot, since you still get achievements with the infinite ammo on. Veteran shouldn't be too bad with already having infinite ammo on a shotgun and magnum.

*Awaits the flood of invites from Mak to play the game I don't own*

A guitar controller with a broken whammy bar is the saddest thing that could happen to it.

So you were close. The correct answer was "I trust the opinion of people I don't know a lot more than the people I don't know in this thread. This game does nothing new, but that's OK because it's not a Sony exclusive."
It's just "ok" cause it is Multiplatform - it would be "fantastic" if it was 360 exclusive and "terrible" if it was PS3 exclusive.

Well, we all know the Activision CEO had his finger on the button just waiting to make the biggest game of the year a console exclusive, costing his company hundreds of millions of dollars.

I finally picked up Batman today. The last part of the demo is the exact same place where I started to enjoy this game. It's just a taste of how badass you can be as Batman (I'm guessing). I have a miniscule amount of the Riddler Challenges done (Like...9 so far). I don't know if I can come back to them or not over the course of the game (Do enemies respawn? I hope so, or I might never get them all).

Also picked up Infamous, but I haven't popped it in yet. I kind of want to beat Mirror's Edge first.

Started playing Infamous again. Man, that game does NOTHING for me. I'm trading it for DBZ: Burst Limit, Viking and Eternal Sonata (I've been dying to play it again), which is pretty awesome (for me, anyway).

I'm starting to write some articles on great movies, and some reviews for newer movies, and possibly get some published somewhere. But my future aspiration is a film critic, and I haven't written anything in a while.
MW2, :ps3: or :360:? Friends on both systems and I'm definitely not getting both
I pre-ordered the 360 version.

Nice.

Is this a joke that I'm not getting?

I don't understand how I got to be painted as the Microsoft fanboy, but nothing about how I post here points to that, despite how much people want that to be the case. End of story.

You don't get to choose if you are a 360 fanboy or not. You just get told you are one.

Everyone says I'm the craziest PS3 fanboy, although I rarely say anything about the 360 anymore. But, I don't care. I don't consider you a 360 fanboy, my comment was more general. You definitely aint no VipFreak.

Contrarily, this is my only explanation as to why people think Resistance is good.

You like Halo. Opinion invalidated.

That said, I've played a slew of FPS games and Resistance was better than a lot of them. R2 on the other hand, I didn't even bother with.
Chimera race are a stupid enemy to fight (same opinion on the Strogg from Quake).
Never knew the enemies in Quake even had a name. I actually just popped in my Quake CD yesterday, to rip the soundtrack.

I think I'm going to have to quit JRPGs for a while after Lost Odyssey. They take way too much time. I'll make an exception for DQV though, whenever I get around to it.

LO was the first and probably last JRPG I've played in awhile. I got maybe 1/3 of the way through FFXII I guess... I've sort of lost interest there. Maybe Eternal Sonata soon, but other than that, I'm not seeing anything on my list.

You regain access to that first area later on so you don't have to worry about getting all the Riddles on your first pass (Actually it's impossible to get them all on the first time through.) There aren't respawns specifically, but some areas are given a storyline reason as to why there's more enemies there when you go back.

Don't hate on Halo lovers. I love alot of ridiculous stuff (Chulip is a good example) but people have their reasons. Sometimes the reasons are pretty flimsy and sometimes not.

real talk.... son...

No hate. Just observations. :)

Since I'm going to pick up a PSP Go I decided to cancel my pre-order of Persona and just get the new Kingdom Hearts game on DS first. And I'm also I'll probably start canceling some other pre-orders(Anime and figures) I have just to cut down on my spending...

Dude what the fuck? Dead Space is scary as shit.

I know, I know, I read all about it last year. People were like, "Shit is scary". I sort of shrugged off the warnings as typical videogame hype. Fast forward to last Monday when I scored a PS3 copy on clearance for $15. Fast forward again to tonight when, having beaten Resistance 2 a couple days ago, I decide to embark on another PS3 adventure.

My fiancee heads off to work, I turn off the lights, settle down onto my couch, and get ready to play. I'm like 35 minutes into it and I don't know if I can finish in the dark with the volume way up. It's like Alien/Aliens come to life.

See, as a wee lad of like 8 I saw both Alien and Aliens at home with my dad during some free HBO weekend so frankly, I've been scarred by space horror. That's pretty much all this seems to be. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow in the daytime.

I can't play games in the dark since my eyes are bad enough already and my TV is pretty close to my bad as well.

Edit: The only thing that scared me in Dead Space was the end...
The least? What the hell kind of colon melting horror games are you playing?
I'm not sure games of such horrific caliber can be released in the US, but maybe Japan.

Dead Space is definitely top 3 most nerve-racking games for me because crazy crap can pop out of anywhere, and I HATE it when people surprise me around corners. So it's more tense than a Resident Evil, but less of a mind-fuck than Bioshock since the insane people actually have a personality and I get "emotionally" attached.

Man, holly sheet at Dead Space -- toward the end, I was sure I'd cleared the room... and I'm standing at the vending machine thing figuring out where to put my nodes and I finish up, turn around, and have a necromorph staring into my face. I just about dropped the controller... and he started killing me swiftly while I was regaining my composure.

I had two moments like that in Bioshock. :cold:

I think the scariest moments for me in Dead Space always took place in that open room where you could see the meteors fly by. You knew you were gonna get swarmed but they could attack from anywhere. Plus the sirens and lights flashing didn't help.

I haven't owned a Guitar Hero game since the very first guitar hero on PS2, but GH5 is really fun. Got a $15 wireless GH3 guitar to go with it.

A lot of the songs kinda suck, though.

Close to the end of Halo Wars. It's okay, but it makes me want to play a real RTS on my lappy. Maybe Universe at War. That $3 copy from HPB has been sitting on the shelf for a while.

"lappy."

Dead Space was one of the major reasons I have developed a ton of respect for EA in the past 2 or so years. They've successfully confronted that they can not be the company that releases boring and inept titles from year to year. Despite being in a position of market dominance for so long, they've innovated a lot in their titles, and have made a lot of decisions that appear good for business and good for gamers. Establishing new franchises is one of them.

Maybe it's rose-colored glasses, really, and maybe it's just that much easier to hate everything about Activision these days.

I've had Dead Space since Christmas last year, but I think I'll wait until the weather cools off a bit more to up the atmosphere that extra inch. Space is not 70F.

I sold Dead Space last week because it's too scary for me to play again. And I have so many other things to play...

I won a Wii in a Lowball auction. Also got Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3. I'll need a wireless sensor bar and No More Heroes, is there anything else?

I can't believe I got it.....

SD Card.

Is the mainstream getting tired of peripherals yet? I sense a TH: Ride and DJ Hero flop (at least I hope as to put Activision in their place again). And Blur is an obvious flop.

I picked up another complete copy of Lunar: SSSC yesterday at a flea market for $2.50. Just a little dust on the discs with no scratches. No big box/leather manual either, but I already have enough of those. I was just happy with the Dragonmaster Dyne/Alex disc variant (as I didn't have those).
Comes with a classic controller and 2 GIG SD Card. Will I need more?
Should be good unless you need more controllers for multiplayer.
