Maybe I'm just incredibly good at it ;)
I'm sure. What difficulty level?
Wait until the missles start flying.

I played the demo and was just bored. Itagaki didn't give a shit about that game because he was quitting. NG1/Black/Sigma is where it's at.

Super Street Fighter 4, eh? Kinda sounds like it should have been DLC. Kinda sounds like it should be $20, but it's going to be $40.

Edit: Only way I will care is if they buff Chun-Li a little bit and make her not so fragile/more heatlh and give her slightly better AA moves. Then i'm in.
I liked NG2.
I, too, don't give a flying fuck about SSFIV.
I ran into a similar bug on my paragon run. There's a sidequest on some random planet where you have to recover a disc from a crashed satellite. Thing is, the disc was stolen post-crash by a monkey-ish thing. Four renegade points per monkey killed, and/or six if you recover the disc by searching the correct monkey. Thing is, when I found the monkey, I was able to search him an infinite number of times, and I kept getting paragon for it.

I was unable to replicate it during my renegade run.
This was on the Ice Planet.
It had something to do with recovering a disc or something -- when you talk to the person in the bar, it's an infinite loop.
STFU pissed me off more than just about any recent game I can recall.

All I wanted was God of War with lightsabers. Instead I got "Floaty Control Jamboree with Clipping Issues".
I'm pretty sure it was God of War w/ lightsabers. At least I thought it was.

In before people start bitching about the Star Destroyer.

I liked NG2 until the last few levels. And some of those bosses were just awful. I liked it a lot more when I played it than when I look back on it - it just makes me groan.

A+ from 1Up, 10/10 from Eurogamer?
Currently 98/100 from Metacritic overall?

Even I'm a little surprised at the reviews for Uncharted 2.
I'm sorry Pumacer about the noise complaint
It's alright dude, I really should have stopped my souped up vinyl from spinning round and round.

Finished Halo 3 tonight, only took two years. It was hella fun until the last two missions, and just went to complete shit when they started. Overall, awesome game.

Fighting through high charity to find cortana is a cool concept, bad execution. The flood are just a chore to fight. But I think they're supposed to be. They're a galaxy-devouring supervirus/ space-zombies.

Edit: A- from 1up.com and I'm back on board with NGS2. Seems they did make some good changes.. I do have $30 in reward zone.. but removing the blood is a big minus. That added a lot to it, I thought.

I liked it enough to do a second playthrough w/ scythe only -- somewhere in the back of my brain, I'm even considering a no weapon run someday. :|

I can't wait for Uncharted 2 to suffer the GTAIV effect of "why did this game get all 10's, it sucks!" because people's expectations are now too high.

There's still blood, just not as much. About as much as Sigma 1 had I'd say.
I can't wait for Uncharted 2 to suffer the GTAIV effect of "why did this game get all 10's, it sucks!" because people's expectations are now too high.
It's a PS3 exclusive. Should be okay in the GGT at least.
----

Whoa. They took out the blood in the US release of Sigma 2? I'll stick with the 360 version.
It's alright dude, I really should have stopped my souped up vinyl from spinning round and round.

I was gonna put more lyrics, but I'll answer for real. If I was stranded on a desert island with five million girls. Well I'd put 'em all to work. We'd build a kickass sailboat to get me back to you. See I'm not fucking around.
I think all versions of Sigma 2 have no blood.
Right. I saw it in the demo that there was no blood, but I figured it was just the Japanese version.

The added gore was a big feature when NG2 released. It takes away a lot by it not being there.

It definitely alters the ... ambiance... of the game. Chopping limbs off left and right is a little strange when the blood doesn't accompany it.

Yea, but the OTT will HATE it.

Well, I hear it is even better then the first and I loved the first one so, win win.

I've been absolutely dominating MUA2. I'm on the last mission before the final fight, and it all of a sudden became fucking impossible. I think there is a glitch with Iron Man because I've cleared the last 3 bosses or so in less than 5 seconds with the beam attack...
I can't wait for Uncharted 2 to suffer the GTAIV effect of "why did this game get all 10's, it sucks!" because people's expectations are now too high.
I was excited for the game even before today's game journalist circle jerk, so if the game somehow disappoints me, I'll still only have myself to blame. I really enjoyed the first one, despite its flaws, and I'm just going into it as fan of the characters, and knowing what I enjoyed from the original.

I still don't understand how it did get 10's. GTA4 is so bleh.

Uncharted 2 will be fantastic though.
The transformation Jer has taken into a PS3 lover is amazing. ;)

But yeah, Motorstorm is absolutely thrilling in first person.
I wouldn't say lover- I still hate the PSN way of doing online, and why does it take 3-5 minutes to look at my trophies? I have zero friends because I don't want to have to write down you guys' names, then type them into the PS3 manually.

With xbox.com I can just click on your names here and add.

Finally, the Dual Shock 3 is an absolute relic and a nightmare of ergonomics. I have the real triggers, but it's like saying it's bad instead of awful.

As far as controller comfort goes it's Wii>>360>>>>>PS3, imo.

But I like it better than last time I bought a PS3, so that's something.
why does it take 3-5 minutes to look at my trophies?
You need to upgrade from dial-up.

I think I might hate Dissidia. It is cheap as fuck when it wants to be. I have a homing attack that the boss dodges 90% of the time, he has a homing attack that is undodgeable 90% of the time, and at any given moment I have no idea what is going on. Winning basically boils down to retrying until my 10% chance comes up twice in the same fight.

performing the trophy "sync" operation is what takes so long. And my connection is fine.

I know, but if it takes 3-5 minutes, something is seriously wrong. Even on my DSL connection, which was slower than just about anyone's I know, it took
Just beat The Force Unleashed. My thoughts...

What a piece of shit.
Really?
I thought it was ok, worth the $20 I paid for it.
What did you not like about it?

I played Shift for a bit last night, seemed ok to me. It's probably the first racing game I've ever played from the cockpit view, so that makes it a unique experience straight off the bat.

I also did the "Oasis" mission in Fallout 3, which was stupid.

That was one of my favorite missions just cause it was so bizarre.
That was one of my favorite missions just cause it was so bizarre.
I felt like it didn't really fit in with the rest of the world, it felt like I'd be bumped out into something else.

Felt like the mission was a bit of a nod to Oblivion, which is a nice idea but it just didn't hang right with me.

I've enjoyed most of the missions, Tenpenny Towers was maybe my favorite.

Damn you Mana lol. After watching that DS DE video I preordered it on amazon lol. Had no thoughts about picking it up until that and then checked it out and was sold on it. With DS, Uncharted 2, Brutal Legend, CoDMW2, AC2, L4D2 and GoW1&2 remastered coming out its gonna be a good time to be a gamer in the next few months. Thanks to amazon not paying close to retail for any of them either.

I played Sigma 2 for like 5 hours straight last night. Good stuff. I played online, but it was laggy. I'll try again tonight, so I can find out if it's my connection or if it's just like that.
That was one of my favorite missions just cause it was so bizarre.
Same here, I thought it was kinda refreshing to see some green.
NG2 is like $10 new on 360. Why would anyone pay $60 for Sigma 2?
I would. Because I don't have a 360! But I won't pay $60 for it either. I'll wait then pick it up. ;)
NG2 is like $10 new on 360. Why would anyone pay $60 for Sigma 2?
I no longer have a 360. I will admit if the online stuff wasn't there I wouldn't have gotten it so quickly.

But he's got a new hat pair of weapons.

I was wondering why I was playing the demo last night when a giant statue got up and started walking around.

Once that happened, I ended up finishing the Ryu part, the Ayame part and both Team Missions and think I want it a bit.

And I only got to New York in NG2

The co-op stuff is pretty crappy though.

no blood = no sale
Oh, there is blood in NGS2, just not a truckload of it on every screen like in NG2.

NG2 on 360 is actually $20 MSRP right now. Last year it was on sale at Best Buy for a week for $10. That's when I got it.
I no longer have a 360. I will admit if the online stuff wasn't there I wouldn't have gotten it so quickly.
I didn't get it because I heard about all its glitches and stuff. Having online does make it more appealing.

I got a lot of games to buy too, but I'm paying retail for most. :whistle2:( I'm looking to buy some stuff at Amazon, I just hope my payment method works without problems.
Motorstorm:pacific Rift - so good.

MUST be played in hood view/first person.
The game is really good. We had a bunch of CAG nights for it. It may have been my favorite racer last year (and this generation).

As for less blood in Sigma 2, that's fine, because I rather have less blood in my games. I'm just not into games being gory. Personally, I normally prefer games to have no blood (which is one thing I liked about what Heavenly Sword did, although I wasn't really into it much).

There might as well be none in Sigma 2.

I decided that tomorrow or Friday, I'll pick up the following things:
-Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (probably at Best Buy)
-Gran Turismo PSP, download card (not UMD or PSN, GT download card, saw it at Target today)

I decided to not go UMD for GT on PSP (like I did with MS: AE) because due to the game having a more pick up and play nature it seems (no career mode), I think it would be best suited as a download. Also, with how well Fate/Unlimited Codes has done on my PSP along with other downloads, I think I'll go that path. The reason I'm buying download card over regular PSN Cards is because it will seem like I own the game (buying the download card), but I have it as a download (which is how I want it). I'll admit it seemed weird just buying the download for it, but having a GT download card seems to make more sense (I just hope I don't pay tax on it).

I will pick up a PSP Go within the next three weeks. It could be next week, week after, or the week after that. I pretty much decided I will get a white one, to go along with my silver PSP-2000 and black PSP-1000.

That's deep, man.

I dunno. I'm getting mine for $30. :D

I'm not getting a Go any time soon, so UMDs are fine by me. I do like owning a physical copy that I can trade or sell if I need/want to.

It's entirely possible and not extraordinarily difficult to beat Chaos without so much as a single scratch. Either upgrade your equipment, or practice dodging/blocking.

I'm assuming of course that you're fighting Chaos for the very first time, and not fighting the 100+ level version at the very very end.

I do like owning a physical copy that I can trade or sell if I need/want to.
While being able to trade games in is a huge plus, I have a few issues with UMD, but there's one main reason why I wish all my games can be downloads. Whenever I tried taking my PSP with me, it was a pain trying to take some UMDs with me. I had to choose which 4 games I should bring (which fit into a case), and I kept hoping they would not break. Having a bunch of games on a memory stick just makes it much easier, and I do not have to worry about them breaking (not a fan of DS cartridges either because its so easy to lose them in a hotel room).

While I may seem crazy, a few of my UMD games will be traded in and I'll get digital versions of them. In reality, I won't pay that much to switch over. I only plan to do it for my Capcom Classic Collection Remixed for now (most UMD games I wanted downloads to, I sold long ago due to needing money, but knew I could re-buy as a download one day, did this before PSP Go was even announced).
