Some kid sold me Ridge Racer 7 for $2 while waiting in line at gamestop today. I think that's pretty good.
It's Ridge Racer .. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidge Racer!
check the thread over at GAF.
Link plz? :)
Agh, I was so right about Scribblenauts. Once you get over that hump of, "OMG I CAN WRITE ANYTHING!" you no longer want to go back to it. Yawn.
Yep. I gave up on it pretty fast as the controls are atrocious and the novelty wears off might quick. Playing Puzzle Quest Galactrix now. While its not as good as Warlords, I still recommend it.
played GT PSP and Fate/Unlimited Codes for a bit, along with running the bluetooth for a bit. That was the longest I ever left my PSP running during a time period.
Sounds like you got a great start on the PSP GO. :applause:
How's Fate/Unlimited code and GT PSP?

Fate/Unlimited code looks sweet by it's previews.
GT PSP looks like another GT game but more smexy cars.

Motorstorm is really good on PSP. I'm kinda liking prinny too.

Any non FF7/Suiko reccomendations for playstation store PSOne games or PSP games? I have 10 left from my card.

NA store:
Legacy of Kain
- Amazing old school diablo style game. With a bit of mix of Zelda.

FF7 - Overrated

Castlevania SOTN - 100% buy if you've never played it before..

Silent Hill - Personally one of the best Silent Hill of it's series.

GT PSP looks like another GT game but more smexy cars.
I absolutely love Fate/Unlimited Codes. There's a thread about it in the PSP forum (not many replied) where I posted my feelings there. I felt it was worth $30 (I rather download then spend $50 on an import).

GT PSP feels like more an older GT game, but that's a good thing since I've been wanting to play one again as of late. I feel it was designed to fit PSP well with its setup. While I feel MotorStorm: Arctic Edge is the overall better game, I play GT on PSP more because I bought the digital version.
Silent Hill or SFA2.
I might get SFA2 sometime.

I'm surprised I haven't bought FFVII yet from the PS Store (and it is my favorite game of all time also, but then again I did buy a new PS1 copy replacing my old one only a few years ago).

But I personally prefer to just not buy PS1 downloads, since I don't play them that much (I tend to just stick to newer stuff). I'll admit I am tempted to buy Castlevania Chronicles since I always wanted to play that in the past but never did.

I bought TEKKEN 2 just cuz well... PSPgo sucks ass...

Oh wait. THEXDER NEO is hot. I love that game. I played the original one on my old Apple II GS!

Is Prinny as hard as people make it out to be? That's all that's holding me back. I'm hoping to find a used copy of Motorstorm Arctic Edge sometime soon for

I wish they hadn't gone overboard with the hacking shit, but it gets better once you get most of them out of the way.

Prinny is actually really hard. Although if you don't save, you can revert to your previous save progress to save lives. I died on the World 2 boss about 40 times before I turned it off in frustration. I eventually beat that boss, only losing 2 lives.

You know what's weird?

I actually like Resistance 2 a lot better than Killzone 2. I've already sold KZ2, but I really am enjoying R2 for some reason. It's for sure rushed, and has some rough edges, but if it had like 3-4 months more polish it'd really be something special.

I think the 2000's screen is a ton better than my 1000, but that's just me. I also have an invisible shield on my 1000 which could make a difference. But I really like the 2000's screen better.

I downloaded Gex 3 and it's pretty awesome and bittersweet at the same time to finally play it. I remember playing Gex 64 all the time back in the day, but my family hated me and would never get me Gex 3

I love Gex man.. Awesome game. :applause:
I gotta get that game!!!

I really like the first Resistance, but never saw a good enough deal on R2 to make me bite, especially with some of the huge problems I heard it had (graphically and such)... that and the beta multiplayer, while I thought it was really fun, suffered from major clusterfucking. I absofuckinglutely hate it when the maps have these choke points and I have 13 teammates behind me that block me from taking cover when I strolled into an ambush.
I'd be happy if someone was willing to pay around $30 or less for my copy. I just want a digital copy of the game instead now (or well, PSN game card of it).

IMO, between the 2000 and 1000, not really. The difference in the 3000 and Go is a bit big though (much brighter colors).
I might take you up on that if hastings doesn't have a used copy.

I just tried playing my PSP Go on my TV (using the PSP Go component cables). I also paired an old PS3 SIXAXIS controller with the Go. I just played GT PSP and Fate/Unlimited Codes, but not using my PSP Go to control it, my SIXAXIS was controlling it (on my HDTV). Worked good IMO. Now I really regret buying the MotorStorm disc since it would really help to use a controller on it at times.

My PSP-3000s screen is a bit brighter, sharper, and has more contrast than my 2000. Motorstorm PSP is really good, but damn it's just as hard as the PS3 version, IMO.

Motorstorm was hard? :hot:
Since when?

When it comes to MotorStorm, I'd say:
-First one was pretty easy early on, but quickly got hard. Rank 4 (or whatever it was) can be quite hard. Before that wasn't too bad.
-Second one wasn't too hard until I got to ranks 6 and 7. Right now I'm stuck on Rank 7, but the game is extremely awesome (I loved hosting CAG nights for it and might host another this week).
-PSP one seems easy so far, but I expect it to get harder.

I did find Pacific Rift a bit hard. But the first one was pretty easy.

Anyone know a site for information about Ad-hocs?

hows does fyters play on the Go?

The same as on any other PSP, I imagine.

Well, on second thought, maybe better since the buttons are closer to the d-pad?

Very love-hate on Dissidia right now. I love smashing the easy enemies, and unlocking all the fanservice there is to find, but every once in a while I get stuck on an unbelievably cheap boss. Probably some of the cheapest shit I've ever seen in a game. I only beat the last one by reproducing the "last boss in Dead Rising" trick of hitting them as they step down, and seemingly forget how to block.

And my 'bonus day' bonus is so good that I don't really want to play on any other days of the week anymore.

Wow - I went to get a PSP case and Rock Band Unplugged at Best Buy with some reward zone - they didn' have rock band, but guess what I found..

HNI_0047.jpg

I'm not even really that thrilled with the game, but 50% off isn't bad even to take it to amazon. It's bizarre - the only copy of that game in the store that was marked 50% off, the rest were in security cases by the PSP section.

Wow nice deal there. But broken destiny having a 50% down? hmm..

Really, EA? rock band unplugged tracks cost $2 each? really?

They should be like .50 each in a pack. It's absurd. Or free.

All this talk of PSP has me thinking about getting one. I've gone back and forth on buying one for a while now, but i've never been able to justify the price tag for something which their weren't that many games that interested me.

It also bothers me that a majority of the games on the PSP seem to be ports or downgrades of PS2 games (at least they used to be, haven't kept up on their releases lately).
I'd get Soul Calibur BD PSP for 50% off. Might be YMMV, but I might go to my local store to check it out.
same here.

also, PS2 ports to PSP are a bad assumption. the only time it happens is for good titles, and at the same time all those ports have upgrades. Disgaea is a good example...

Honestly, the PSP has a ton of good titles, the only thing shitty about it are the controls... it really really needs a second stick for 90% of the 3d games on it.

Just finished Uncharted in anticipation of Uncharted 2 and what a great game. Always wanted to play it when it came out but waited until it got cheaper. My only complaint has to be the difficulty spiking way up at the end.

This week should be fun with Demon's Souls and GH5 coming on Tuesday. Too bad I won't get to really play them until the weekend because of classes.

I think I might take a chance on Demon's Souls. I dunno, though. I wish there was a demo.

What? :whistle2:s
Motorstorm PSP is 30 bucks at Amazon. I think I'm going to have to bite, if I can figure up how to sign up for ECA.
Signing up for ECA is easy, you just need the GIMAG promo code and a credit card (that doesn't get charged).

I signed up on their website, got the two emails for the newsletter, but never received the email asking to buy the membership, and I can't find that option on the site.

EDIT:
Never mind, just remembered that it won't work if you have custom firmware. No point in ordering the UMD then.

Here are my impressions of the PSP Go in case anyone is interested (posted earlier in PSP Forum)

Background:
1) Never owned a PSP previously (thought it felt too cramped)
2) Paid $100 out of pocket due to Amazon.com's trade-in promotion earlier this summer
3) Set-up was fairly painless (did have one dropped download, but no other issues)
4) I own a DS

Positives
1) Surprisingly comfortable for a guy w/ long fingers (DS actually cramps my hands)
2) Extremely impressive screen quality
3) Attractive form factor
4) Appreciate being able to use Dual Shock
5) PSP Game Pausing is a fantastic feature (never liked the idea of having my DS in prolonged sleep mode should I forget about it, battery dies, and then lose my game)
5) Older games are actually competitively priced on PSN.
Example: God of War -- Chains of Olympus
PSN: $15.99 || Amazon.com (used): $5.25 + $7.99 Shipping = $13.24

Negatives
1) Takes longer to install games than I expected (2 min for a 80 MB game. Really?)
2) Shorter battery life than a DS
3) Quietest volume level isn't quiet enough.

Final Verdict: Promising, but too early to call. The PSP Go absolutely won't sell like gangbusters @ the full $250 (I certainly wouldn't have bought it full price). But I can see it gaining market share as the price drops, and Sony (probably better than any of the big Three) understand the importance of price drops. They're just gauging poor souls who are willing to pay the premium now, and again, have opening admitted this.

I still expect a price drop of >=$50 by early next year, with maybe another one by next Christmas. Why? Because a shaving company makes money off the blades, not the razor itself. And I think the greater comfort and better form factor will make the PSP Go a better choice than the PSP Phat when they reach price parity.

Yeah the mutants were an utter pain in the ass. The part I also had issues with was the end on the boat. It seemed the shotgun did crap because I was far away and I ran out of ammo quickly with the M4. I eventually did it but it was just a pain since they took all my guns and gave me just that shotgun.

I thought the ending was hard the first time I did it, but anytime after that it was pretty easy.

Also can't decide if this month I should go for Brutal Legend or Borderlands.

Oh that last part was fine. I don't remember really having any major issues with it like that.

I'm getting both Brutal and Borderlands. I hear the demo of Borderlands recently was disappointing to some people, but I'm down with gun porn.
