I was reading a review of Infamous in Games TM this weekend and they were having a moan about it feeling unfinished, they said there was loads of bugs and pop-up and they felt it had been rushed out to beat Prototype.

Most people commenting on it have usually been positive and I don't remember hearing anyone complaining about bugs. Are there issues with bugs and pop-ups, and if so are they that noticeable ?
A lot of glitchy walls and stuff, yeah. Otherwise, it's a mostly good game. First PS3 game I got a platinum trophy in.
I finally played a little more Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and I'm just reminded of how bad I am at the game... yet I still enjoy it.
If you ever want to do the co-op missions, I'm always up for it.
I thought it was easy or you were really good at it? Maybe that was someone else. ;)
That was me

It wasn't any buggier than other open world games. And it definitely didn't feel rushed or unfinished.

It's not that they rushed anything since they were working on it for at least two or three years, but that the engine wasn't really much of a well-optimized engine for the PS3. I recall that it was more of a modified Sly Cooper PS2 engine that were able to use, which is why it didn't look great or run perfectly.

I still need to finish Infamous. I'm only just started the third island. It's on backburner 'cause of all the games coming out in the next couple of months, though. :p
I am playing Mass Effect on Insanity for the first time.

I am playing as an Infiltrator, specializing in the sniper rifle.

I decided to make my first mission the one to recruit Liara.

I forgot about the fucking Krogan.

fuckfuckfuckfuck you, Bioware, for making me watch this fucking unskippable cuntwhore cutscene again and again and afuckinggain. Why the fuck does this game autosave before the son of a whore cutscene (and an elevator ride longer than Rasputin's dick) just before the motherfucking boss? Jesus tittyfucking Christ, Bioware, is this an Albertan thing? Are you guys so fucking fucked on the coke you bought with your god damned tarsands money that you are incapable of recognizing when one of your decisions is an absolute piece of shit?

fuck. This. Cutscene.

EDIT: Also, way to build a room with zero fucking cover. Really fucking impressive, you know? I mean, I've seen levels with minimal cover before, but it's quite rare that you end up in an environment wherein you can actually be hit from every single god damn point in the god damn room. Must'a taken you guys quite a while to make that one. But not as much time as it takes me to ride your fucking elevator.
How long did it take for that post to go through on your 56K connection?

Also we need a graphic to cover up "cuntwhore", I suggest

Third Island is SHORT.
Thanks Frost. I must be near the end? :p

I will now use

Depends on how many side missions you want to do before you finish. If you play the story missions? You've got like 5-8 left, maybe. Definitely not a lot.

Yeah, I've been doing all the side missions too. After playing slow and completionist at the beginning, I might end up blitzing to the end like did for Fallout 3 and Mass Effect, though. :p

You can do the side missions afterwards easily enough. It's open world after the last mission, so no worries about it pulling a Fallout 3 on you.

Not exactly, apparently Amazon requested that ECA stop releasing new codes due to the stacking issues.

But whatever you've already generated or applied to your orders should still be ok.

nobody wanted to give me an answer, but I generated 2 codes -- didn't know how to try to get them to stack though.

Well, the question was already answered multiple times in that thread and this one, but since it's you Frosty ;) : the codes come from Amazon in batches and only codes from different batches will stack together. If your codes start with the same letter/digit, they won't stack.

Thank you, kind sir.

That might be a good idea as it sounds like any future codes (if any) will not be stackable. At least you can apply them to your account for just in case.

k then im reordering tekken 6 for $27 since i conveniently got a $10 promo from my damaged batman case
edit:i have like 2 30% stacks tied to my acct
It wasn't any buggier than other open world games. And it definitely didn't feel rushed or unfinished.
I agree. I felt inFAMOUS was mostly fine and wasn't any worse bug wise than other open world games. It was one of the few I really enjoyed (and oh course I bought your copy from you). ;)

I did play some Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 last night. Yeah, the game is definitely hard, but I enjoy it a lot. Also played a little DDR Universe 3 on my 360. I did re-purchase Wild Arms XF from the PS Store and downloaded to my Go. I'm going to play some games tonight, but cannot make up my mind what to play.
I finally played a little more Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and I'm just reminded of how bad I am at the game... yet I still enjoy it.
I might need you added on PSN.

I encountered some odd world geometry issues (like falling through the world), but they didn't actually lock up the game or crash out the game, it just reset to the nearest checkpoint.
How long did it take for that post to go through on your 56K connection?
Ain't been on dial-up for over a year now, Casey. Though the wireless here ain't the most reliable god damn thing in the world...
I might need you added on PSN.
I don't mind but my connection hasn't been that great for the last few weeks. I need to call up my provider to see whats going on with it...

Usually my connection is excellent, but I'm paying $100 a month for Verizon FiOS TV/internet for a reason, lol.

That's actually not a bad price -- try paying $120+ for cable/internet and having it suck ass because it's Time Warner. I'd punch someone in the gonads for FiOS or U-Verse.

My connection is usually fine as well. But for some reason it's just been dying more than a few times a day... in fact it did it again while trying to post...
router, perhaps, chibi.
Thats what I thought at first, but my phone is hooked up through my modem and that has been going out as well. So that rules out the route... atleast I think it does. Something could just be loose as well... I've been too lazy to check.

How's the FiOS, Mana? I don't have that option, unfortunately.

My cable connection has been surprisingly reliable, though.

Edit: Now that I think about it, cable is going to offer up to 101Mbps downstream with DOCSIS 3.0, and though it might take about two or three years to get to that point, my cable company is probably going to offer a competitive price for it compared to the telco solutions over DSL/FiOS. Right now, I think I'm getting more or less what I pay for, and the big turn off for me with FiOS/DSL is that if you want the better speed, they're gonna charge you for it (depending on the promo, sooner or later).
Cable: totally not worth a dime
I don't watch TV much, and I am paying $6 for the cable box in my bedroom I rarely use, but oh well, I still need TV to watch some sports games and some other stuff.
How's the FiOS, Mana? I don't have that option, unfortunately.

I got a text message from GameStop that I can pick-up my Demon Souls Deluxe Edition tomorrow. I will probably delay getting my haircut by a day to do it. Whenever I think of text message, the song "LOL Smiley Face" by Trey Songz ft. Gucci Mane & Soulja Boy comes to mind (since I listen to rap daily when driving everywhere).

GODDAMN IT CAMPUS MAIL SYSTEM.

My Kingdom Hearts: Seven Eight Nine over Thirty-one Weeks came in on Saturday, couldn't pick it up today because they didn't bring it from the main campus mail place to my dorm mail room until the middle of the evening and now I have to wait until tomorrow evening when the mail room is open to get my package.

Better late than lost, which happened twice during my 5 years in college. Really low percentage comparatively speaking but still pissed me off.

So Dead Space: PS3 or 360? They are apparently very similar, so I guess it comes down to which platform's free DLC is better. Any trophy/achievement differences?

The AC in my campus apartment has been broken for the past month and their reason for not fixing it is "its too cold". Despite the fact that AC (and electricity) is built into my monthly rent. And the stingy fucks won't give me a partial refund on my rent for the month. :bomb:

trophy/achievements are the same AFAIK.

the DLC is the same other than the free suit (which may no longer be free?) -- if you use the suit, on the 360 at least, it basically takes all the survival out of it, as it's good armor with plentiful inventory space.
why isn't suikoden 2 on playstation store?
i still need to get into the first one. i've hardly played it.

i like rpgs where you dont switch out party members the best though. less grinding. suikoden has a billion characters right?

Yeah, I ended up getting PS3. Both version suits were free initially, but I believe they are no longer as such. I think the PS3 suit was a little better, but as far as the two versions I believe both are about the same in quality. Go with which ever floats your boat.

I could just play it on my psp but it'd be nice to actually give money to konami for this game.

Also - Rock Band Unplugged is REALLY good. I haven't been so surprised by a game in a long time. WOW!
So I have a reason to keep drinking.
haha, Myke & Sony...like an old married couple.

And speaking of Konami, I saw some screens of Rocket Knight Adventures for PSN/XBLA today. I'm kind of excited for it now.

I've never played Suikoden 2... but after playing 1 I really want to now esp with what people say about 2... I think I liked 1 more than I should have but I got it when it was released on PSN and had a very enjoyable time with it..
