My Demon's Souls Regular Dude Edition (which came, unexpected to me, with an artbook and soundtrack - what' the LE got, then, a fuckin' box?) came today.

Spent under $40 on it.

Boy, online shopping sucks.

TMK what's your psn name? You're the only one I don't have added here lol. if it's the same I added you a few days ago but haven't gotten a response yet.
I'm on PSN and don't see it, so you probably guessed the wrong PSN name. ;)

Boy, online shopping sucks.
You get artbook/CD wherever you order. You get the special strategy guide and cover with the Deluxe.

Also, one reason I prefer not to order online is because I live in an apartment with a tiny mailbox. Many times things don't fit in it, so they go to the office. Not all the time I get home from work when its open. That can delay me even more from getting something. At previous apartments I lived at, there was no office, so your only option was to pick-up as USPS or UPS (but both only had one location far away from me, further than the drive to GameStop).

It's not a box, it's a slipcase with some nice foil accents and embossing.
I don't care if its hard. Knowing me I'll play for 6 hours and probably never touch it again, but I'd love to add it to my collection regardless. :D

No, it's because I'm pessimistic after hearing how many people had un-authorized use of their CCs after reading blog entries here and other places. I'm just a bit too careful on stuff.

I took the risk and ordered at Amazon. We'll see what happens now.
Most credit cards have fraud prevention teams. Didn't make a purchase? Call them up, they'll reverse the charges, cancel your card, and send you a new one.

haha you're fucked! trusting the world was the wrong choice!

I think Mana really IS from japan.

Loves Karaoke? Check.

Afraid of using a credit card online? Check.

Loves Sony? Check.

Claims to have enjoyed Brave Story? Check.

I bought demon's souls. I'm not sure if I should keep it.

Let me have it for a ridiculously low price.
I think saving me $50 is more important than saving you $10.
I'm not so sure. ;)

I don't recommend it.

I had the asian version. At first I thought it was the greatest thing ever, but having to repeat the same level over and over and over and over made me quit.

I did, but I canceled it after Trakan told me he wasn't getting it. I don't want to play with a bunch of randoms like some psychopath.

Randoms are cool though. I was playing Sigma 2 with a random today. The game started lagging and then he says "hold on" next thing I hear is "MOM! YOU DOWNLOADIN SOMETHIN??"

Demon's Souls is really good, even if I've died 3 times already :whistle2:x

Can I upgrade my guy if I go back to the nexus? Or do I have to finish 1-1 first?

Got my PSP in today. Ended up being a later model of the 2000, which means I can't do half of what I'd like to with it. :bomb:

I think hastings is having a B2G1 sale on uses games right now, so I'm going to hit them up tomorrow and hopefully get Rock Band Unplugged, Monster Hunter United, and Dissidia or Motorstorm.

It came with Dynasty Warriors Vol. 2. It's fucking awful.

I think Monster Hunter is a bad choice unless you're 12 and japanese.

Nobody plays that shit in america, and it's boring as balls solo.

Man, Resistance 2 is sooo good. I'm near the end of that.

I played through the rest of the demo and I'll have to agree. Might get Crisis Core or Resistance Retribution instead.

 people who dont understand Monster Hunter. Don't bash it if you havent at least put in roughly 100 hours.

YOu can solo it, and if you have a PS3 easily play online.

It's something that requires at least 50 hours of skill building so if you dont make the time or just pref immediate satisfaction then it's not for you.

Also, I still say Crisis Core is better than Dissidia overall.

It is good, and I'm with you on it being better than KZ2.

If I ever see you on we should play...even though I suck at it. :p

I love MH. I put well over 200 hours into the PS2 version. Without online though I have no desire to play the game hence why I haven't picked up the PSP versions.

do you need to have specific people to play with on monster hunter psp-ps3 play rolento?

I've always wanted to try that game online. Is there any kind of "here's a list of rooms, join one" type things? voice chat?

I remember playing MHF2 and having to carry this fucking egg at the SLOWEST pace a character has ever moved in a game while enemies kept knocking it out of my hands. I shut it off and have not given a shit since.

I think gaffers and English-speaking players hang out in certain lobbies. I think you have to figure out your own voice chat solution, by skype or something like that. I'm waiting for the Wii version, when playing online will be just a pain in the ass, instead of a gigantic pain in the ass.

Yeah, this is exactly where I gave up in MHF1. Frustrating as shit. Apparently the real solution is to get an armor that prevents you from dropping it when you get hit.

I don't want to spend 50 hours grinding just to make a game somewhat fun. fuck that.

Dissidia demo was badass. I'm not a big FF fan, but killing Tidus with Sephiroth is just awesome.

Holy fuck. That statement alone makes me want to play Dissidia.
lol @ "Don't bash it unless you've played a 100 hours". There's no fucking way you can be serious with that comment .
Yeah, I was about to say...If you need to put that much time into a game to enjoy it somethings wrong.

DarthPuma: Where'd you get your PSP? Did you buy it at retail or online new? Or third party somewhere?

The fun of MH comes from playing with other people and that's that. All the single player is for is to train a bit, and get items when you can't go online. Which is why the PSP versions suck. Sure in Japan where everyone lives right next to each other, and you can head down to the train station to play it with groups of people it's fine. But having no online for it in the US is ridiculous.

Yeah, that's it in a nutshell. MH was meant as an MP game. Putting a 100 hrs into the Solo game is pretty insane (sorry RR)...

I played some Demon's Souls. It's kind of fun so far... But I might have to play offline for the time being since my connection keeps going out and I get booted back to the title screen.
Yeah, I was about to say...If you need to put that much time into a game to enjoy it somethings wrong.

Absolutely agree. I don't put a lot of time aside for gaming these days, so anything I'm going to play needs to be fun pretty much right from the start or I'm not fucking with it.

I'll give most any game at least a couple hours to give it a chance, but if I'm not sucked in and having a blast by then, off to Goozex with it and on to something else.

I actually really liked both games, but then again, I LOVE Musou games. Previously I'd buy it from you, but now I want all my PSP games to be digital, so no more UMD buys for me.

Also wanted to add that my Demon's Soul Deluxe Edition shipped from Amazon. :D Bad news is I don't need to get addicted to online shopping, which is one reason I avoided it.
