Sweet, Metal Slug XX is coming for PSP...
Never played that. Is it new? I remember having Metal Slug X on PSone.
I never played Vol. 2, but played Vol. 1 and Samurai Warriors State of War. I actually really liked both games, but then again, I LOVE Musou games. Previously I'd buy it from you, but now I want all my PSP games to be digital, so no more UMD buys for me.

Also wanted to add that my Demon's Soul Deluxe Edition shipped from Amazon. :D Bad news is I don't need to get addicted to online shopping, which is one reason I avoided it.
I'll give it to you for Arctic Edge.

Went to Hastings to get some PSP games today, ended up with Dissidia, Monster Hunter, and Resistance. Monster Hunter and Resistance are just placeholders until they get used copies of some of the other games I want in though. The demo for Retribution was fun, but I don't think I'd want to play 10 hours of it.

I still haven't played my copy of Resistance Retribution. At first I wasn't into the demo. Gave it a retry a few weeks ago and liked it, so I bought it for $20 new at a local game store.
What was wrong with Sega All Stars Racing? Why did they need to throw Sonic's name in there? They did the same thing with Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. Oh and am I the only one wondering why Sonic would ever need a car?
I'll probably buy the game. If its anything like Sega Superstars Tennis, I'll love it.

It's kind of sort of not really new. Sounds like a revamped version of X with some unknown mix of new and re-done stages. The official title is "Double X", but it doesn't sound like a direct sequel per se. I really enjoy Metal Slug, so I'm interested if SNKPUSA ever brings the game over here, even though Anthology skews the "value" issue quite a bit.

Okay, I'll throw a ten into the game case. :p

Actually, I think I'll just take both of those games back since it will be a while until they get a used Rock Band or Arctic Edge in, and then download Patapon 2 or Prinny.

Dissidia has a shit ton of content.

Played some NGSII last night. I dunno why, but I'm liking it a bit more than I originally did on 360, even without the extra red. It's still plenty violent, though.

You want to play the team missions sometime? Been looking for a partner for that.

Uncharted 2 is great. Hope developers take note on how to run a narrative in a game. And get in contact with Naughty Dog on how to not have any loading/insanely great streaming.

So, 3 hours later, I don't regret cracking open Demon's Souls one bit.

Great game.

Does everyone in the world see your messages? Look for my messages at the big bridge where the dragon comes flying by in the first part.

you do see ghosts of other people playing - it's out here.

I guess you can summon other people to join your game in co-op or jump into their game to try and kill them to get your body back if you've died and are a soul form.. otherwise It's kinda like what a modern zelda game should be without the puzzles and with a lot more dungeon/awesome combat.

I am too, but I'm not hearing good things so far of this version (of the people who've played it). I'm a bit curious to ask how much easier Sigma 2 is than its' 360 counterpart. I was deleting some files from the 360 version (cinemas and crap like that) and I accidently deleted a good chunk of my save files, so that got me pretty discouraged and thinking about getting the easier version.

So, as a person who struggled with Acolyte somewhat on NG2, how would I fare on NGS2?

Definitely on my radar now.

So...why didn't they just delay this game outright? It runs and looks like shit on PS3 Bad framerate, constant screen tearing, cutscenes were...very bad quality. Holy cow.

However, the game has a lot of style, and it's a pretty cool game, but like I said...this demo on PS3...wow.

It was delayed in the US.

Probably going to be getting the 360 version with this one.

I know it was delayed in the US. I'm asking why they didn't just delay it everywhere. You can start to see the problems in the Tutorial part, and that's just Bayonetta and 1-4 enemies with no background.

I don't really care about everywhere else. It was delayed in the US, so hopefully that time will be used to fix the PS3 version. If not then I'll just get the 360 version.

At the end of the demo it says "Converted by Sega". It's pretty clear Platinum Games had nothing to do with the PS3 version besides say that it's coming to PS3. It makes them and Sega look pretty bad.

Reeeeeeeeeally liking Demon's Soul.

Beat 1-1 and only died stupidly when I walked backwards into a hole. :/

Downloading Bayonetta, I guess I'll try it tonight and compare to the 360 version tomorrow.

Why should they delay both versions when only one is having issues?

In any case, I think the decision to delay was a primarily a business one, and really nothing to do with the PS3 version.

The ghosts of players deaths, live spectral players phasing in and out, and the whole hint system from Demon's Souls are probably the best and coolest ideas in a single player videogame in a decade.

What's Acolyte? Baby mode? It was a breeze on Warrior. Jeez, you stink.

I'm guessing you've never played Fable 2?
Was your first clue when they outright said that they weren't handling the port?
Honestly, I didn't think it'd be THAT bad.

I'm getting intrigued by DS solely on communication in this thread... it'll be the first game I try based on GGT enthusiasm. Let's see how that works out. I'll rent it as soon as I am done with what I am playing now.

Hmm.

Vampire - The Masquerade: Bloodlines has now replaced KotOR II as my "best game ever to get released way before it was actually finished".

Still behind Ogre Battle: Person of Lordly Calber as my "most embarrassing/awkward game name to ever actually have to say out loud", though.

I found out about BF Bad Company 2 and got nostalgic. Loaded BF2142 on my pc. I tried and tried to get my 360 controller to work but it didn't. I'm sad.

Soon sales numbers time. :whee:

I hope for next month they have the PSP Go seperated out from PSP. Probably wont though.
I'm guessing you've never played Fable 2?

It's a PS3 exclusive. GOTY am confirmed.

I almost jumped off the good ship Demon's Souls last night. Died too quickly at one point and really felt that hardcore sense of "fuck it" that I expected to at some point.

Tried it again, and didn't experience much difficulty, if any, when fighting the Phalanx (level 1-1 boss).

Still, the sense of dying = losing acquired items and exp (whatever it is) really bothers me. It was one of the worst things I hated about Final Fantasy XI and eventually prompted me to quit the game (well, among others, of course).

I'll continue through it, but, man, I'm not so sure that I'll finish this game if the first level is like that.

You know how I feel about the PS3.

This actually is almost, but not quite as good as Dallow is saying.

The little messages written everywhere like "treasure ahead" "watch out for the horde of enemies ahead"
"just run through this part" etc. make it feel like you're exploring somewhere where people have failed numerous times before.

And watching other people's deaths is entertaining. There's like 10 bloodstains in the main area where people just plain walked off a 50 foot drop near those huge stairways, it's pretty funny. Fable 2's orb friend thing didn't really compare, because people couldn't leave messages and you couldn't actually see their character - although the jump in co-op is somewhat similiar.

But Demon's Souls is a million times better in combat than Fable 2.

What PS3 exclusives has the GGT been unduly excited about? Killzone 2 wasn't exactly a big hit, nor was either Resistance, Ratchet & Clank... all I can think of is Uncharted. And that kind of deserved it.

Some people seemed to dig Infamous. It turned me off from the start and I'm glad I just GF'd it.

Resistance 2 didn't get much credit at all - I picked it up for under $30 (thanks again, GF), and finally started playing it over the past week. I'm enjoying it as a pretty above-average online FPS. Not life-changing by any stretch of the imagination, but solid fun for sure.

I'm also a big Warhawk fan, but recognize the learning curve for flying is pretty high. You'll figure out the basics quickly enough, but its takes several hours in the air to figure out how to consistently avoid getting shot down each and every time.
