Ain't that the truth. It was a blast (like all the action in the game), but I died a gazillion times. Facing it on hard will be :bomb::bomb::bomb: I don't even want to think about Crushing....

I wish there were no platforming chapters the 2nd time around. They're great the first time but boooring the second time :(
 
So, 5 hours into brutal legend and I'm not finding the disappointing part yet. The RTS stuff is SO fun, and such a nice change of pace from the usual shooter/DMC clone type stuff that comes out. It's simple not too simple. And my god, the soundtrack.

I think Uncharted 2 is a better game, but I think I might be having more fun/being more surprised by Brutal Legend. I knew Uncharted 2 was going to be tits, but BL I was doubtful about. Good to know that those doubts were unnecessary.

RF:Guerilla SP seems like it might be a bad game. A member of the garbage "its like GTA except not really" family of games. Like Mercenaries, except with explosions. Too early to tell, though.

360 version seemed to be 4-1 vs PS3.

If anyone else gets it for PS3 I'm looking for a 4th player.

But my main reason for going with NBA 10 is because I can download it (no UMD), and it has a download card (I don't believe NBA 09 is even a download). I don't plan to ever purchase a UMD again unless I really have to.

Your gamestops are huge. and nice looking. The ones around here are just cramped to high hell with plastic instruments and last gen used games.

There's 7 of them within 5 minutes of where I live as an example. Great for searching for valuable used games/accessories.

I played the first couple of missions in co-op on Sunday, seemed ok. For $4 you can't really go wrong.

Haven't been in a BB in a loooooooong time and all the GS's around here are literally like closets. The register area takes up about half the room.
 
URGH...that last part in Lost Odyssey sucked terribly. It's the first time I've died in the game since Disc 1! And it's not even a fair challenge, either.
You have to do that part in one way, or else you're screwed. Loading times count against you (even with the install, it's still a pain), framerate dips count against you, and the fact that stupid intro animation FOR EVERY fight takes 10-15 seconds once you see a character, it is just an overall TERRIBLE part.

I managed to get 4 achievements since playing early this morning, most of which involved heavy grinding to levels 40-49. This game doesn't deal out achievements that much, but I have over 500g given the way it handles achievements.

Ok, yeah, I disliked that too... probably why I had trouble remembering it.

I remember the dragons were ridiculously overpowered, and if they decided to shit on you, it was basically game over, nothing you could do, other than luck.

I had no idea how anticipated Borderlands is. But, I watched the GT review and now I really want it - I regret not asking for it for my bday. I'll be getting it on :360:, it just feels like a 360 game.

Well, at the start of Disc 4 I grinded levels until I hit 40-49 at
Gongora's Mansion Cave
and it was still a bitch. I might end up going back so I can level Cooke, Mac, Jansen and Sed until 47 or so. Especially Cooke and Mac since they give me Magic spells. There's supposedly another boss fight upcoming immediately, so it might be wise to do that. It can't be as bad as that last part, though.

The final battle was a bit sketchy, and I think I'd grinded into the 50s at that point and had all the human max level cheeses... not sure about what comes between what you just dealt with and the end, unless...

Nope, you already did the battle I though people would be bitching about -- the one that's coming up I thought was cake... especially after dealing with the bs you just went through.

The boss battle in the dungeon wasn't that bad. I won it with barely enough MP, though. It was more 'you're wasting my time' than anything else.

Wow amazon shipped Borderlands last night around 7pm and I got it today with 2 day shipping o.o Good thing as well because I finished Uncharted 2. Really good game but damn did that final fight suck.

Played a little Uncharted 2 today, but I don't feel like for games or anything right now. I'm just really sad since I had a relative very close to me pass away. There's just so much that makes me sad hearing about it (family stuff).

I say that because outside of the visuals on Borderlands I dont see anything really great about it.

Also, I'm biased to Tekken so take that into account as well.
