One could probably argue that Tekken 6 is pretty much Tekken 5 DR with a few new characters/moves/stages.

I'm just saying. The opposing argument is almost always there, friend-o.

Seriously though, I personally don't care much for borderlands and am a fighting game fan. So I'm not as biased as ReRo's Tekken fanboy ass, but still biased. :cool:
 
I'm not that sure about Tekken 6. I'm half excited, half I only play a fighter for a few months and then stop. There are *some* exceptions, but not many.
I'll have to get it for 360 because my PS3 online = fail.

Either way, I'll be picking up Ratchet and Clank next week. Tekken 6 will probably come with it from the Best Buy T4G2 deal.
 
well looks like if u buy ps3 borderlands ur fucked if u want to play online according to gaf
So basically, any kind of online on PS3 for many users, either public or private is not possible until they release a patch.

You'd have to call in to customer service and ask to have that item added to your order. It's really YMMV as some reps will do it and others will say that they can't add items to an existing pre-order (depending on when that pre-order is released. I had one rep claim they couldn't add an In Stock item to my Mass Effect 2 pre-order since the release date for the pre-order was next year--yeah I didn't understand that response either). It's also possible that the rep will take matters into their own hands and cancel the order to re-do it for you, which will fuck up your discounts (yes, this also happened to me >_

Torchlight is shaping up to be pretty interesting. Might have to preorder it on steam.

Debating picking up either Brutal Legend or Borderlands too..:whistle2:k

They've said that they're looking into it. Hopefully have it fixed within the next week or two.

Oh my god, borderlands is GOOD

Halo meets Diablo and has many beautiful babies, I say.

Really fun 4 player co-op with some random Xbox Live dudes tonight. I like just hosting a game and letting people come and go. But friends would be nice too. I didn't want to stop playing!

It actually reminds me a lot of the R2 Co-Op, in the same way that Final Fantasy 1 reminds me of Final Fantasy X. Same basic concept, but one is a more complete, developed concept in design. It might sound like hyperbole, but it's just stirred up that excitement like I just NEED to get back to playing that game. Haven't had that with many games lately. But Brutal Legend does it too.

im tempted to get rid of gears 2 halo 3 LE and sfiv so i can pick up borderlands at tru(theyd net me $39)
 
That extra $20 is pretty decent. I got borderlands for $30 trading in $10 Target Clearance copies of Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires. It's funny that gamestop was giving $20 apeice for poop on a disc.

actually i should just burn my odst gc and other leftover credit on borderlands then use the $39 to get mw2 since the odst gc expires on 11/14 and im kinda worried tru wont get it on time :lol:

I guess not. Borderlands is really fun, if you like diablo/rpg type games, and shooters. It's pretty much a mix of those.

The enemies aren't smart or anything, they're just kind of there and charge you. They do take cover and stuff, but it's more about their level and abilities and how many there are than how they out think you. It does have this crazy hectic pace to it when a group surrounds you and they're all "badass" versions or something.

i used the chump change i got for mp3 to preorder mw2
 
I'm going to exchange Brutal Legend for Borderlands today. I didn't plan on it, but the more I hear about Brutal Legend, the more I'm put off. I just hope that I don't need all 3 of my games I bought from TRU last week to do the exchange. Brutal Legend wasn't my free game, either.
 
Haha, Broly I was thinking the exact same thing. And in the exact same boat - I'm going to be getting 3 games from the ToysRus deal: Batman, Brutal Legends and Demon Souls. But, now I want Borderlands instead of Brutal Legends. Brutal Legends seems meh...
 
RF:G picked back up again last night. I'm a sucker for "man a turret on a moving vehicle" missions. Someone remind me what the deal is with doing Guerilla actions when you've already liberated a region?

A while ago.. not really a great game, btw. At least not in my opinion. It's really sluggish and my only real favorite thing is seeing your character get killed by traps.
 
Brutal Legend was excellent.

The 20 minutes I tried out Borderlands last night was a complete failure. Something with the tutorial mission glitched and I was stuck with no instructions/objectives/or any way out. No way to save. Nothing. I prayed the checkpoint post thing acted like a save and restarted. It started me at the beginning of mission 1, which is when I said "fuck this game" and went back to bed.

I don't know what to compare the shooting portion to, but if jer is right and it feels like Halo, that might be why I wasn't quite feeling it. Then again, I didn't spend much time with the game before it pull that heinous shit on me. :|

It just boggles my mind. Where's the marketing push? Where were the reviews? I've literally never heard anything about this game since its announcement.
 
Guess I won't be getting GTA or Borderlands this week... It's for the best I guess. I have Uncharted 2, Gundam Senki Record U.C. 0081, Demon's Souls and a few other games in my backlog. I guess I'll just wait for that $10GC from Forza 3 to get one of them.

How to describe Borderlands? Hmm...One of the most interesting looking, boring to look at, addictive, fun, annoying game I've ever played. I've played that game for 2 sessions, 2 hours both times. To say that I'm hooked on the game might be the understatement of the year.

At least the second time I booted it up, I was allowed to actually fucking continue in the game.

To it's credit, it may have started me over, but it kept what little experience/money/items I'd accrued.
 
Started playing Borderlands today and god that game addicting like everyones said. Just hit level 11 and have my first vehicle quest. Sadly work interferes with playing more lol.
 
Speaking of addicting, I'm obsessed with Demon's Souls. I played the first 5 minutes of Uncharted 2 and was blown away by the intro--like the start of a great action movie. But even though it's so awesome, all I think about is Demon's Souls. >_<

We'll see what happens when I receive Borderlands from Amazon later this week. :p

Damn, you need to slow down the games, and enjoy one at a time. I'm holding off on Uncharted 2 and Borderlands until I can get them a bit cheaper.

Demon's Souls (and school ugh..) should keep me busy until then.

Not sure this is smart -- I have a fear when I go back to play the F3 DLC I'm going to hate it because it will seem slow and clunky after getting used to the Borderlands style of combat/item management.
 
I don't plan to try Borderlines. It's just not for me, but I have nothing against it.

I played a little bit of the Lunar PSP demo. Wanted to play longer, but my sister called me. After talking to her on the phone, I actually found out a little more about my half brother (never met him) and finally saw his picture for the first time ever today. Debating whether I should message him.
