Damn, you need to slow down the games, and enjoy one at a time. I'm holding off on Uncharted 2 and Borderlands until I can get them a bit cheaper.

Demon's Souls (and school ugh..) should keep me busy until then.
It's all Amazon's fault, lol. I'd never have this many games if it weren't so cheap. Between ECA, Gift Cards, and other credits, I got a lot more for my money than I have in a long while.
Damn, I was betting on Borderlands being bad. And I guess by time I get around to it everyone will have stopped playing it. Oh well.
Haha, same with me... I was so sure it was going to be a disappointment. It came out so suddenly and awkwardly. Also, the changing of art direction so late in production put up some red flags.

Now, I have to get ANOTHER game this season. Ugh.

Hi GGT!!

Not much time for games or game forums the last few months, but I thought I'd drop in and say hey to my old cheap-ass pals again for old times sake.
I don't plan to try Borderlines. It's just not for me, but I have nothing against it.

I played a little bit of the Lunar PSP demo. Wanted to play longer, but my sister called me. After talking to her on the phone, I actually found out a little more about my half brother (never met him) and finally saw his picture for the first time ever today. Debating whether I should message him.
You should definitely buy whatever cookie-cutter MoonLegendkyriatale NISA/Atlus pedo RPG is latest to come out instead of "borderlines"

I got absolutely fucked at the mission with the scagzilla tonight.

I like that point blank only shotgun that does MASSIVE damage but has zero accuracy. I also like sniper rifles with exploding bullets.

Borderlands probably isn't the best game I've played this year, but it's the one that I just get a huge addictive hankering to come back to the most. Except maybe RE5 co-op, that's close. I think I'm having more fun with it than Uncharted 2, though. And I think I'll be playing it longer. It was absolutely more of a surprise.

Looks like CFW 5.50 GEN-D is here.

People who are smart about how they use their PSP can finally buy new retail games. I still like my slim, but maybe I should try to get CFW on it now and just ditch the old 1000 model..

What is it that you guys like about Borderlands anyway? Just curious, I'm not really digging the game but I've also seen to compared to Fallout 3 and I didn't like that game either, lol.

I like the loot/gun collecting and RPG shit. And the co-op.

It reminds me a lot of what I wanted from Left 4 Dead. More permanence to the gameplay and a reason to pick Zoe over Bill other than looks. Also more variety in enemies.

Makes sense to me, thanks. :applause:

I need to find 4 of my games that work for T4G2 so I can get Ratchet and Tekken 6.
However, since Ratchet is 59.99 here and I have $57 in EB Credit, I might just pay a tooney for Ratchet and then get T6 and Borderlands with the T4G2.

So for Riddick and Spider Man Web Of Shadows are definitely getting tossed. I don't care for either of them. I need to find 2 others, which won't be hard to do.

Ratchet is really just Ratchet: part 16, isn't it?

I don't understand why they keep cranking those games out. Do they sell? I played the second one on PS2 and it was fucking awesome, but every one I've tried since then has been literally, the SAME exact game.

Until they hack the 2001's, my PSP will remain significantly less useful.

I kind of want a new Spider-man game... That isn't completely broken.
I didn't think Web of Shadows was too bad. The combat was definitely the best out of any Spider title.
Indeed, that alone made it the most enjoyable spiderman for me out of all the ones released, minus the PSX one.

Web of Shadows was good, but still low on my expectations of a Spider-Man game. They need to make the next game with the Prototype engine and polish the shit out out of it. Venom-Wolverine was the stupidest thing I ever saw.

Prototype could have been so much better without so many fetch quests and missions that didn't ultimately all feel the same.

I'll admit the combat was fun.. but it was still a buggy pos. I can't tell you how many times the game froze up on me during the later parts of the game or how many enemies would just vanish after I used the webzip to close in for an attack. Also I hated most of the character designs, voice acting and some of the later boss fights(They never got as bad as the ones in Spider-man 3). Oddly enough it's the only game I have a 1000 gamer score in(Without any DLC)...

not true, but close. ;)
3rd one was the 2nd one plus more excellence. then they started going south ... the only one that might be worth a damn, other than the original 3, would be "size matters" if they did it right. deadlock sucked. future:tod was mediocre. quest for booty sucked.

The only Ratchet game I ever touched was the demo for Future... I thought it was meh at best.

I finished up the 2nd season of Sam and Max last night... I just have to replay a few eps to get the last 2 achievements. And I started up Gundam Senki Record U.C. 0081 today and it seems like it could be fun... if only I knew Japanese so I could understand what I'm doing... outside of destroying things with a giant robot.

They do only add minor things to each game, but they're so fun I would rather they didn't make any huge changes that might ruin the game. Also the stories/humor are a plus.

I have the new one pre-ordered and paid off

Yeah, Web of Shadows was ridiculously buggy. The only reason I stuck with it is because Black Cat was in it...

She was one of the few characters I could stand to look at.

I am simultaneously loving and hating Brutal Legend. First sign of trouble was that i'm playing on Brutal difficulty and I have no idea how I beat the boss in the mines. He just died in about 25 seconds. It is also way too difficult to tell whether or not your attacks are actually doing something to an enemy.

i think i'll trade in brutal legend for $30 at tru to get borderlands
i only paid $30 for brutal legend in the first place and multi will likely be dead if i keep it any longer

Just watched the horror movie Noroi after hearing good things about it (was in the horror mood) and wow haven't had a movie disturb me that much in awhile.. Definitely recommend it.

Didn't get a chance to play any Borderlands tonight but most likely grabbing Rock Band 2 tomorrow (finally) after having the first for about forever. Have the points ready to import Rock Band 1 and renting Lego Rock Band next month to export the songs lol.
Sweet, I'm not the only one who thought the Ratchet games were "meh."
Ratchet has always been a series I wish I could love. But, I just can never get into them and think they are so boring. Can't put my finger on what puts me off by it...

There's been a lot of Ratchet games, I never cared for the series in the past, didn't play a Ratchet game until it came on PS3.

So the Borderlands thread makes the multiplayer setup seem pretty stupid... if you complete a quest in a game that someone else hosted, then it doesn't count in yours? And if your levels are different from the rest of your party then it's a waste of time?

I dunno, I just host games and people come in and play. I don't really join other games cause people just quit and shit.
And if your levels are different from the rest of your party then it's a waste of time?
The FPS and RPG made a baby, but the MMO was fuckin' 'em both on the side.

MNL said he joined a game with ridiculously high level players and felt useless, but by the time they finished, he'd caught up with them in levels (or close to it).

Ratchet games are really the only series that still regularly scratches my 3D-platformer-itch. Every other series is different now (banjo-kazooie), doesn't come out regularly (mario games), or just died off (jak and daxter and sly cooper).

Also, Spider-man WoS was the best (licensed) superhero game I've played this gen, until I played Batman:AA.

I like the 'real' Ratchet games, but paying $50-60 for them is stupid. I always got them when they hit GH/clearance.

That said, outside the first time Clank got super-big, his levels suck dick.
And if your levels are different from the rest of your party then it's a waste of time?
Oh crap. Oh well, maybe I'll just restart Fallout 3 now that I have all the DLC before MW2 comes out.
I forgot that today is Trine day! :whee:
I hope you've been reading impressions about it. I wanted to buy it, but I don't think I should now after reading how repetitive/boring it is. :[

Borderlands is alright, getting better as I play more.
Friend and I played for a bit and I think we both stopped around level 12-13ish.
I'm glad the server issue was fixed before I ever even put in my PS3. I was afraid of there being a long wait like with Gunstar Heroes or Castle Crashers.
So the Borderlands thread makes the multiplayer setup seem pretty stupid... if you complete a quest in a game that someone else hosted, then it doesn't count in yours? Luckily it's co-op or I'd be really bored.

Kristen Stewart is hot in Twilight (have not seen that crap though...), but she is a crazy hoe everywhere else.

Also @ GI - way to go, I was so pumped up for the new "Epic Mickey" and I finally get my magazine and see that it looks like complete crap. No where near "dark and twisted", just "crappy and generic". Why does it deserve a cover exclusive?!

I'm really tempted to pick up a PSP Go but when I see shit like this:
picture.php
at Meijer I know it would just be a waste of money.
