I should put on every amazon trade in thread how NOT TO TRADE GAMES that are exclusive to stores (Wal-Mart, Best Buy, etc) because Amazon will send them back... oh yeah, they have to be complete as well... let me do that every single time :roll:

WHen i have a game to trade I check Gamestop, Best Buy, Amazon and ToysRus and 9 out of 10 times, Best Buy is giving the most $.

RIght now i'm looking at LA Noire

Amazon is 31
BB is 30
Walmart 29
TRU is 18

Not sure what GStop is since they won't give me the price over the phone anymore since they started having competition. But I imagine with the 40% coupon, they'll be the best deal. OTherwise another one going to Best Buy.

I think someone posted a few pages back that la noires tiv is $25 before 40%-50% bonus. I can't belive TRU. I always thought they had decent tiv.

It's definitely YMMV, it depends on the employee and whether they care enough or not. For what it's worth the coupon doesn't say anything about "no copies" and it is a universal code
 
I can confirm that the 4 stores I called (In the Rockford, IL area) have confirmed this would work and the only thing needed is the EBC3022547 code from the bottom of the sheet.
 
Do I need the actual coupon or just the code below it? My printer is being stupid with me.

Just got back from my local Gamestop. I didn't even ask about it, the employee scanned it right off the bat. So with my PUR card I got 50% trade in credit!

Also, if you want to know the games I traded in and their values (base values):

Bulletstorm (360) - $15
Folklore (PS3) - $7.50
Burnout Revenge (360) - 10.50
 
For what it's worth, just got back from GameStop, traded Call of Duty: Black-Ops (PS3):

Best Buy: $25.00 trade-in
Amazon: $25.50 trade-in
GameStop: $22.00 (+) 8.80 (+40%): $30.80 trade-in

Not bad. First time I think I've ever come out ahead at that place!
 
I used to think trading games to gamestop was a total rip, but if you have the club card, and you're trading in a handful of lower value games, it's worthwhile.

Selling games worth less than $10 on eBay, factoring in the ebay listing, final value fee, and paypal fee, spending time and gas on going to the post office, its almost not worth it.

craigslist is a little easier, but people pay less, and it can take a long time to sell, and sometimes you gotta deal with sketchy people.

if its a newer AAA title, then i'll sell it on my own. Otherwise, gamestop club aint too shabby.

I agree.

I remember back when I was trying to sell Trinity Universe here and this was a month after release. Amazon was offering 35 usd for it (retailed for 60) and I COULDNT even get 35 usd shipped for it on here...

Does this coupon stack with the trade 3 get $10 deal?

Also if it doesn't, can I use 3 coupons to trade 3 games so I get 50% on all 3?
 
To bad gamestop doesn't do these promotions more frequently, otherwise it would be better trading with them more often. But with the promo credit amazon gives you ( gamestop would never do this ) racking up credit to spend on amazon is a no brainer for me.
 
Stupid me went into Gamestop without a coupon. Upon entering the store, I asked the employee if they had the 40% bonus trade-in going on. He looked confused and said he hadn't even heard anything of it.

I'm bummed, but I'll be be back, this time with the coupon!

Not just that but the disc itself says Not for Resale among other things right on the disc. If any GS took this in I imagine they could get into trouble.

Does this stack with the 'Trade 3 Get $10' deal?

Does one coupon cover all games traded in, or is it just one game per coupon?
