Get hacked, get bonus Fifa 12 achievements!
it's like having a baby as a result of a rape!
One I do not want. My OCD/Perfectionist issues make these horrid achievements very aggravating. It's a horrid scar I'll have to live with.
I got hit this afternoon. 4,080 points taken, and I'm 99% certain that I interrupted them in mid-theft:

I booted up, it immediately said my account was no good, so I did a recovery. About 10 minutes later I was back and 15 cheevos for FIFA were there along with -4,080 MSP. 29 FIFA packs bought.

After I was on for about 10 minutes, it suddenly says "you have been logged off" and "your account is no good". They were recovering my account while I was on! I immediately started the recovery process again, went online & changed my password. There are still some points safe in my account now.

. . .
Me too. I discovered the nonsense as it was happening (this morning). We went back and forth signing into xbox live. The person bought Fifa crap and 6,000 MSP. I immediately called xbox support and my cc company.

Got FIFA'd hacked last night. They have spend all of my MSP - 5,920 for 24 PREMIUM GOLD JUMBO packs and 2 Gold Packs. Of course Fifa 12 is on my tag now with few unlocked achievements.

I contacted MS support via twitter. Hope it works that way, since i do not speak english to call them. :(

Doesn't work that way, you HAVE to call them, if you contact via any other means (email, chat, twitter), and say you got hacked, they'll all tell you to call Xbox Support since they're the only ones that can start an investigation, and BTW, twitter support has the least power out of all the Xbox support services. Well add me to the list of people who have been fifa hacked. 1200 points spent on fifa packs, and 2 achievements I didn't get. Called Microsoft, they locked the account and said it would take around 15 days to investigate.

I'd like to ask those of you who have been affected by an account hijack, how much MSP did you have in your account prior to being hijacked?

I ask because I have seen no complaints from people who a) Dont have a Credit Card on file b) Have no/very little MSP sitting in their account.

It seems that the ONLY people who are being hit are those with a fairly large amount of MSP resting in their account, or a CC on file.
To me, this is where I am most sceptical (of Microsoft security)! It's as if someone knows who's worth hijacking beforehand...

I only had around 2,000 points on my account, and only 1,200 where spent (on Rift) by the hacker before I changed the password and called ms and got it locked down.

I did have a CC attached as I like just buying points through the console for convenience sake, but I didn't get any charges to the CC. I'll be removing it in the future and probably just not buy much of anything on the Marketplace as I really don't want to give money directly to MS after this terrible customer service experience (have been locked out of my account since Oct 25th).

I just got hacked too on Dec 27th. It really annoys me because the hacker stole 9,000 points and spent them ALL on gold packs. The Microsoft dude said it would take 4-6 weeks for investigation. AWESOME!

Good thing I had an extra one month card laying around...

Uh, no. If the hackers hack your account and notice that you don't have any Microsoft Points nor a CC on file, they'd just move on, and you'd be none the wiser, since you'd never even know someone hacked your account. Nice try.
So I got hacked today, and other than the 10000 MSP they bought on my account, they decided to play a little Fifa 12. I dunno what's up with it, but apparently it's a trend, happening to tons of XBL accounts. I don't even own Fifa, but now it's in my games list forever.

The most annoying thing is, XBL support refuses to remove the ill-gotten achievements! They're gonna refund my money for the MSP, of course, but for some reason they cannot remove the achievements. Every time I look at my games list now it's a reminder of the violation, and each time I get more pissed off.

I dunno, hopefully they might add the functionality after this mess, now that I know I'm not the only person this affected.

Anybody else have to deal with this bullshit?
This is exactly what happened to me. Bought points for fifa stuff and then changed my security questions so I couldn't get in.

So if I'm able to change my password online so that I regain control of the account, am I supposed to be able to log in? Microsoft tech support said the account would be locked....

Also, will it hurt to play on the account while it's under investigation? I hate not having my saves and stuff, but I don't want to interfere with gettting my points refunded either. :whistle2:k

They lock the account (not account I guess but that gamertage) while it is under investigation. What happened to mine is they changed the password and the security questions so I couldn't log on to xbox live.

You'll be able to login online and login to your Xbox Account, but will not be able to log in to XBL. You can still play offline on your account. Playing offline will not affect the investigation, but you will lose achievements gained while offline if you run the Xbox 360 Profile Protection Tool after gaining any offline achievements, so run the tool ASAP and then play offline. Xbox Support will also give you an 1-month XBL Gold Code a couple days after the investigation starts to add to create a new account or add to your existing account after the investigation, but you will not be able to access the existing account's saves if you create a new account.

Thanks, I'll know what to expect now. I just played a full hour of modern warfare 3 online though and I called Tuesday night so I don't know what's up with that. Maybe they're just taking their time locking the account down. I've changed the password and done the account protection thing online that requires a profile download so that should take care of the hacker, I just need my points back.

That's odd, since when I got hacked, after I called Xbox Support, they locked it down within a couple of hours. You may want to call them again.

I was hacked and was able to change my password. I could play online on my hacked GT while the investigation went on and waited for my points to be put back on my account.

Thanks for the reply. I was going to call again in 2 or 3 days, but now I'll probably give it a couple of weeks and see what happens. Glad to know someone elses account wasn't locked, I was concerned about being able to play mine.

Just wanted to say I am in the same boat as you. Some jackass hacked me and I lost 6500+ points. In reality I've lost more than that, too much to type out right now. But what did I get in return so far while my account is locked up? 30-days of xbox live on a account that I don't give 2 (blanks) about.

MS better compensate and give me back my points for it.

It is the seems the hacking is very common nowadays. I had to cancel my credit card and debit card that were attached to my account. These were added because I have Zune Pass. Fortunately, all I lost was my 9500 points, which I am expecting to get back.

The fucker who hacked my account has good taste as he bought Vanquish and Crysis 2 along with a ton of DLC for Castle Crashers. I knew I was hacked when I logged to my account but immediately was logged out as someone else was online from another console.

The waiting sucks but at least I have a PS3 to keep me busy.

You should be good although i had to wait 2-3 months for them to fix everything and et my MS points back....

2-3 months? I got my account back in 7 days. I guess I am lucky. Got my points back too.

Depends on what type of hack.

If all that happened was points got spent, those don't take so long. They were taking a month or so, but seem to be taking a week or two lately from posts on the X-box support forum.

If the hacker migrated your account to another country like mine did (Russia), then that takes much longer. From the Xbox support forums it's been taking 3-6 months for people to get their accounts back. Apparently their are international law issues with getting the software licenses transfered back to the US, and apparently the account can't just be moved back. They delete the foreign account and rebuild the US account line-by-line of code.

I've been waiting since Oct. 25th....

Phoned up Xbox support to see if I could get any kind of update. As expected, it was useless. They have no way of contacting Tier 3 support, and just said cases involving overseas hackers/migration take longer. And to expect another free month code by e-mail in a few days since the last one came on Dec. 17.

Just absurd that it's taking long and they do such a poor job of keeping you informed of progress. If I wasn't wanting to play Mass Effect 3 on 360 so I can import my character I played through the first 2 games with I'd just sell the damn thing and buy a PS3.

Just saw that my account got hacked. Spend 5,160 points on FIFA 12 packs. Talked to a support guy and he gave me a number to call. Guess I will call that in the morning.

Just got off the phone with Xbox. The guy knew about the FIFA hack and just asked for my info. Said my account would be suspended for 4-7 days while they look into it and I should have all my points put back into my account.
