In my newspaper today. Unnamed sources within Movie Gallery said plans are in motion to file for bankruptcy before the end of the month. Movie Gallery stores are still profitable, but their over-valued takeover of Hollywood sank them. Most Movie Gallery locations will likely stay open after they quickly find a new owner. Hollywood locations (many still unprofitable) will not have the same fate; buyers will be harder to find, and many more than the original 520 will close.
