Getting a 3DS, need advice

So I'm planning to get a 3DS sometime in the next month or so. I could definitely use advice on where I might be able to get one cheap, or any deals on games for one.

I want to get a 3DS XL, with Paper Mario, New SMB, and Kingdom Hearts. If anyone has other game recommendations, I'm open to suggestions. My best thought right now is to wait until GameStop's next buy 2 get 1 sale (I haven't paid attention lately - do they still do those every other month or so?), but if anyone knows a cheaper alternative, I'd like to hear it. I don't have any leads on getting the 3DS XL cheaper than $200...

The Kmart thread talked about a regular 3DS for like $160 plus a gaming coupon for another $15 or $20. That's a pretty great deal, but I'm holding out for a 3DS XL myself, and hoping for a bundle (which I asked about in another thread).

Yes, the XL is the one you want. The system's best game right now, IMO, is Super Mario 3D Land. NSMB2 is good and all, but SM3DL is definitely the most fun I've had on the system.

My other favorites are Professor Layton and Virtue's Last Reward, but you already know if you want them. If not, grab an earlier, cheaper Layton and 999 for the DS.

Oh, right, I forgot there were two Mario games. I meant 3D Land. Might get NSMB2 also, not sure.

I played the first three Layton games and liked them well enough - I'll probably get this one when it's cheaper. And I did play and enjoy 999, but I found out after finishing my first playthrough that I took the "True" ending path, but you can't actually GET the ending unless you've finished the game in another direction already, so I ended up rage-quitting. I should probably go back and finish the game properly one of these days...

When you play through the game subsequent times, you can hold a button (maybe L, or a direction on the d-pad), and it speeds through any text you've already seen at lightning speed, only slowing back down when it hits a sentence that you've never seen. There's still a lot of game for you to see; you can only see maybe half of it in one playthrough.

The fact that you need to see the other ending first makes it very, very, VERY cool. Trust me here. Do this TONIGHT.

Any idea if PilotWings or Kid Icarus are any good? I had a bad habit of buying every shiny game I saw for the DS, and regretted a lot of them, so I've gotten a lot more picky. I loved PilotWings 64, but I don't know if this is just a port of that, or if it's the same concept, improved? And I remember seeing a preview of Kid Icarus and thinking it looked good, but I haven't looked into it much since then.

Pilotwings is all right, but very light on content. There's maybe two hours there. Not kidding. If you can get it real cheap, go ahead.

I do like Kid Icarus, and I get a lot of mileage out of that stand.
