I will have fun! The gems make everything funner. I'll be having the time of my life, and I'll be amazing because I have Special Edition gems!
From the last thread carryover, thanks for your input guys on the games I listed. Kinda surprised everyone isn't interested in Ninja Gaiden 3. I know the main guy left or whatever, but still I figured it'd atleast have some hope for it.
To me, Dragon's Dogma looks like a mix of Monster Hunter and Borderlands, and that's a good thing.
NeverDead is just interesting in my opinion based on the concept alone. Soul Calibur V... I mean it's Soul Calibur, even though I hated IV, it's Soul Calibur.
Surprised by all the QTE hate. I know it gets criticized a lot, but I enjoy them as long as they're done in moderation, but from the demo I can definitely see why Asura's Wrath could be ruined by too many QTEs.

Sigma and Sigma 2 gives me little hope for it. Not to mention the stealth sections, QTE sections, enemies begging for their lives, only unlocking weapons in SP by playing MP, etc. There's just too much wrong with it for me to want to play it.

Actually QTE's kind of look like one of the things that is very wrong with NG3, namely the fact that they are all the time (or at least were in the gameplay video they showed). I mean you had to do one every 3 seconds for a kill move then they had like 4 long QTE events in a less than 10 minute video. Not to mention the pointless addition of stealth kills...

How the hell is stealth pointless when you're a ninja? That's the whole point of being a ninja.

Ninja's are supposed to be stealthy. Haven't you played Tenchu: Fatal Shadows?

It makes sense, but Ninja Gaiden hasn't ever been about stealth, and the gameplay video didn't make the game look like that was what they were going for any more than the last games. It looks like they added it in just so when you see that one guy standing totally alone on a ledge you can stealth kill him.

You mean like Uncharted 2? At least ND fixed that in Uncharted 3.
Who knows, maybe they'll do it right. They had a section in the fog which gave you the option for stealth and seemed kind of cool from what I remember of it.
As a fan of the series, I'm willing to wait it out and give it a shot. At this point, it has the potential to be the 2nd or 3rd best action game of the year, as sad as that may be. (DMC HD currently sitting at #1 with Revengence sitting at possible #2, if it releases this year and doesn't suck.)
Shit, I didn't even say what system.
Do you think you would win a BlazBlue tourney on the 360?
Considering I have probably about 2 hours put into the game total over all the versions, I'm gonna go with a rock solid "no". I was mostly just being an ass.

This, especially the bolded parts.

My top 5 for 2011:
1. Marvel vs Capcom 3 - Love this game, totally worthy sequel to MvC2. Great cast, tight controls, a complex gameplay system that allows for classic Marvel shenanigans.... just a lot of things that I love about this game.
2. Skyrim - Another Bethesda gem, and my favorite RPG this gen. Fixes many of the annoyances I had with Oblivion. Makes stupid stuff like enchanting and smithing addictively awesome.
3. Dead Space 2 - I love the gameplay formula of this series (and what it's mostly derived from, RE4/RE5). DS2 had a lot of badass "HOLY SHIT"!!! moments that feel like they were ripped straight from the best action movies. Surprisingly solid multiplayer and good replayability with weapon upgrades, new armor etc... Final boss fight was weird but surprisingly cool.
4. Bulletstorm - Totally original and hilarious FPS. Doesn't ever get boring or have those sections where you get super annoyed with the game (think swimming levels or enemies that randomly one shot you), which I was really happy about. Weapons are creative and the leash added a lot to the game.
5. Iron Brigade - Another Double Fine masterpiece. Awesome gameplay, addictive collection system, top-notch voice acting, great art direction, stable internet play. ihadfg, we have to play the new survival mode soon to try and get the new loot!
Honorable Mention: Modern Warfare 3 - I couldn't justify putting this game on my list even though I really like it. It's just too cookie-cutter for me to consider a GOTY contender.

UC1 was cool because it felt like I was the only one raving about it. Now everyone likes it
See? It became too mainstream.
I prefer my games to be underground.
Sonic 2006 didn't come out this year.
We need Sonic 2012 this year.
All I did was nominate someone who is very deserving of the CAG Community Award.
You nominated me? Aww, I feel so special.
UN CHARTED (ONE) was definitely my favorite of the UN CHARTED games. UN CHARTED THREE comes close.
How hyped are you for UCGA? I bet that'll be your first Vita game.

I definitely want to play it once I get a Vita, but I doubt I'd pay $50 upfront for it.
Speaking of Vita, short list of launch window titles that actually have my interest, should I happen to end up with one: UMvC3, Uncharted Golden Abyss, Sound Shapes (if it's done), Super Stardust Delta, Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus
To a lesser extent: WipEout 2048, LittleBigPlanet, BBCSE,
lol Never even played that shit.
It's pretty damn good, actually. One of the very first big-ass-world first-person RPGs, preceding the first Elder Scrolls by two years. Terribad levelling system, but the NPCs were really fun. And I miss having the ability to write notes on my maps these days. Why the can't I write notes on my maps?
EDIT: And I only ever saw the first Underworld movie. Saw it first... about a year ago, actually. Way worse than not being able to put notes on my maps.

actually the 3rd one sucked because Kate Beckinsale wasn't in it.
and also it just sucked
I forgot she wasn't in the 3rd one. That one can off, she's the only reason to watch them.

$50 a game for a portable is too much IMO. But perhaps that's just me.

Sounds interesting. I've played a few Ultima games, can't even tell you which ones though.
I saw it back when it was in theaters.
You know, before it was popular.
You know what I loved? The "spin in a circle and shoot the ground for 3 minutes, creating a hole under you so you can drop through the floor and escape" move. That shit was Chronicles of Ridiculous.
