GGT 215 got Major Nelson banned from XBL

So I finished Max Payne 3. While the ending was satisfying, the "boss" fight was pretty lackluster. We had the convo earlier about splitting up development within games, well I counted seven different Rockstar "Teams".

Rockstar Vancouver (This team no longer exists)
Rockstar London
Rockstar Toronto
Rockstar New England
Rockstar San Diego
Rockstar New York
Rockstar Lincoln

There is quality within the game, the cutscenes and soundtrack were equally awesome. However the gameplay was dry and nothing was flowing. When you have a third person shooters like the Uncharted series, you really have to step your game up with gameplay.

Certainly a game worth experiencing on the cheap (don't spend more than $20), and if you enjoy frustration, play on Hard on your first play through. Other than that, if I were to see this game on consoles, I think I would cry. Holy shit balls was everything awesome looking on my PC, too bad gameplay was sorely lacking.
And this is where you learn to love the line gun or the canister mines.
Or you do nerves of steel and just stare them down and it them with stasis.
After you fell the first one, you rip it's raptor claw off and use that on charging ones. Works like a brick wall. 8)
The kinetic force power on PC kind of sucks. It's bound to the "F" key to pick things up so you have to take your hands off the movement keys to pick things up. Game won't let you rebind to Mouse 4.
$12 shipped? Hell yeah, they're both better than the HD ports. The HD port of ZOE2 has some extras, though.
Are the HD ports really that bad? I own both of the originals but considered picking up the ports at one time because ZOE2 is so good.

He always does. Except when he's talking about Leda. Dude's enamored.

Still say you should have Joel help you kidnap her take a picture of you busting one on her pic and show her that pic on Twitter.

Edit: That's directed at Indiggers, but it's better if you think of it as directed towards Joel.

I legit may do that. Would have to use my backup Twitter accounts, though....

Are you using the Uncharted games as the bar for actual 3rd person shooter gameplay? That sounds off to me. Then again, I've never played the Uncharted games for their shooting sections. In fact, that's probably a big reason why I think the second game is the worst in the series. If I want a TPS cover-based shooter I'll play a Gears game or I'll give Binary Domain a shot.

Use an Xbox 360 controller?
The shit is so necessary on higher difficulties when you're trying to conserve ammo -- boost the damage percentage with a few nodes and you'll never be low on ammo again once you master the dismember/catch/impale.

I just hit the Dead City in Darksiders 2 and holy fuck, there are so many glitches that it's unreal. Lanterns keep disappearing every time I pick them up and shit. I just looked up a walkthrough and it looks like I'm roughly halfway through, but I think I may shelve it for a while due to the glitches. They're really driving me nuts. It's almost like they didn't even playtest any of it.

Looks like we're going to have a new game to play in Vassal, guys!

Lucky. I have experienced nothing but glitches and disappointment. Shit is ridiculous. I'm constantly having to reload areas just for things to pop back up.
Can I be the crazy torture dude?

If not, not interested.
Maybe? I want to be the Jew dude.

Uncharted 2's shooting mechanics and flow of movement works. I've never played a game that mended to two so well together. Binary Domain certainly does a pretty good job, but it falls short in really letting the gameplay flow. Gears of War is too entwined with its cover system that everything else suffers.

Flow and movement is the key for me in gameplay. "Cover system" shouldn't be the main focus, it should be a tool that we use to complete our objective, but not the only tool. I don't want to be "stuck" behind cover all the damn time and do this whole shoot from behind cover.

I do believe that Uncharted gets its ups from me is that it has platforming, which none of the other TPSs have. Of that list, Max Payne 3 is certainly below Gears of War in terms of gameplay, but up there with Uncharted in terms of presentation. Then again, the best TPS is Socom 2 :p

So are you using the arrows for movement or wasd? seems like wasd would be the intended spot, since f is right there.... :\

Firefly the game!!!! ohmahgerd!

Uncharted is great! My friends don't like it though. I think the play mechanics work, but my friends "don't get it". Eh, their loss.

Dishonored is really quite good, but I don't like how the game doesn't really tell you if you completed your non-lethal objectives until after you completed the chapter. Like last night I
by-passed the duel w/Lord Shaw thinking I wouldn't get credit for anything other than a straight up kill, and I also wasn't sure if took care of the Lord Regent's torturer by choking him out instead of killing him.

Also, I don't like how I have to play the game twice (kind of) just to get all the trophies. There's so many kill-related trophies too. :p
I would but Frost isn't around and Uraizen sent it back to Gamefly without playing with me.
That jerkdish! You were trying to break his heart, weren't you, Rai Rai?

Also, I'mma finally be playing Sleeping Dogs tomorrow thanks to having some UK PS+ codes! WOOO! Can't wait to straight up murder some foos.

I didn't notice any white hair in Death By Degrees.

The main character in Nanobreaker does have white hair though.

I don't know what to think anymore.

It's WASD, but in order to pick up objects the index finger can't be on S or D so you can't be simultaneously moving to the right. Now that I typed it out it sounds stupid.

I swear if you wanted to be a serial killer there, you could just kill the invalids that wander the streets during the day when the mental hospital lets them loose. Kill one a week, nobody will notice.
