GGT 215 got Major Nelson banned from XBL

God I love bullet sponge bosses!

What I don't get is why Max Payne decided he wanted to be a John McClain+Beard.
Yes, and Spark Unlimited is making it, fresh off of Legendary and Turning Point: Fall of Liberty. Stellar titles. It's also Unreal 3 to boot.
Don't forget that it now has a First Person Mech Mode and a cover system!
I'm gonna drunk skype a fuckton soon. But I'm currently detoxing so I can't do that for the next few weeks :(

for those actually wondering, I'm working on quitting smoking. It's been over a week now since I had a cigarette. It's just that I really like smoking when I drink. So I'm trying to not drink while I go through the worst part of quitting (which is supposed to be the first month). ya dig?

I'll be on skype tomorrow night though. If you guys wanna joooiiinnn.
Did anyone ever think Aliens: Colonial Marines was going to be decent?
Watched the review for inevitable "Game over, man!" reference... stayed for the drops.

Man I saw people waiting in long ass lines to play this game at E3 and I felt sorry for them.

Why we needed another Aliens game after that god awful AvP Reboot I do not know.

Hey did you ever give Chris Avellone a hug at E3 like I asked you to?
Damn hardcore mode in DS 3 is if you die the game resets to the beginning holy shit
I'm pretty sure frosty played through DS2 on that difficulty.

In DS 2 you were given 3 saves anywhere. DS 3 the saves are random locations usually before a major event happens or the next chapter but you die once and you reset to the beginning of the game.

Just saw an easy way around this use two saves with a USB =]

Sounds... hardcore.

Ninja edit: How does it compare to the first two?

Edit #2: I FEEL LIKE I ASKED THAT QUESTION ALREADY. I'LL JUST PLAY IT, OKAY?! GOSH.

better than the first two its a great game

They took out shitty MP and put in co-op your co-op partner I think has his own little side story but you need to play as him

Never found him, but I do plan to give him a big hug if I get to check out their studio :D

Better than the first two? I'm surprised they didn't mess it up then. I might just need to pick it up. The first two were great games, and I was afraid they would pull a RE.

The multi-player for the second game wasn't that... bad. It was cool playing as a necromorph.

I was surprised too it wasn't ruined by action type storyline. I at first hated the idea of making your own weapon but it became fun experimenting with other things.

DLC is already coming for next month. ^___^. I'd say rent it if you like it buy it I was unsure on how this game would be but it turned out great so I bought it.

DS2 was harder.
If you bought the game and got the online pass, you have the two LE weapons.
Add that to doing survival mode first and I'm blazing through hardcore. Those MKII attachments? I already have a acid enhanced shotgun and stasis enhanced linegun. I made it to chapter 5 with about 91203821098 extra healing items in less than 2 hours. So far it's a cakewalk... I'm only worried about the boss in chapter 12, I think.

I occasionally make a back up because I'm going to be pissed if I get 90% of the way through the game and die on some bullshit instant death flying sequence and it deletes my save. There's a reason I wasted permanent save in DS2 hardcore right before the Die Hard 2 ejector seat sequence.

It's not better than DS or DS2.
It might be about equal, in my opinion.
It's fun, especially in coop.
The take cover/fighting humans is minimal, so that's not actually a big deal.
The story kind of sucks in places, though it's better than many 3rd installments with the way it handles the mythos and canonical shit.
I really hate when you get to chapter 17 and the presentation on the projector speaks to you giving you directions as if he knew you and asked you to do the mission.
Also some of the ways it sort of changes a little depending on if you're co-op or not makes it weak in both co-op and single player, instead of being different or just weaker in one area
Example: 1st chapter -- your run into the head unitologist and he is about to kill you -- yet the cutscene only deals with Isaac. If Carver is with you, it's never explained how he ends up down with you after you dodge the gunshot and why the unitologists are still alive if he made it that far.
Pure survival mode was a fun twist.
Hardcore mode isn't nearly as stressful or challenging, as I noted above. Other than a cheap instant death, I'm not really planning on having to use the cloud backup.
I can't comment on classic mode yet, but I'm looking forward to it.
Other notes: not sure how I feel about the auto-save checkpoint mechanic. also not in love with how there's no global profile stat. Want that 1000 dismemberments achievement/trophy? Or the ones for killing/doing anything specific a number of times? It's no longer cumulative across all games -- you have to load the game you have the most in and grind out the rest. I had to do this with regenerators to get the 1000 dismemberments trophy and I had to kill something like 21 extra people with the axes and kinesis because it didn't want to combine my survival and standard numbers of 10 and 9.

I did. The starting premise and "gameplay footage" Game Informer and GamePro talked about 4 years or so ago in their magazines made it sound like a fucking amazing game. I mean, a squad based military game where you're walking through a ship and having choke points where you have to use collected resources to reinforce rooms and stop a near endless horde of Aliens? Sounded so cool! Then again, when this was announced there wasn't as many tower defense games and I'm pretty sure the only Horde-type of mode had been in Gears 2, so it was still a pretty novel concept and since I'm such a huge Aliens/Gearbox fan it was pretty much a day one purchase for me. I did end up cancelling the preorder though since it got crazy delayed and it became incredibly evident the graphics were never updated past the 2008 screenshots. It's crazy considering they've been developing this since 2006 and it's such a profitable IP.

I didn't know the online pass had two weapons. I should probably use it I'm starting my HC run.

The only thing I hated in DS 3 is they still won't let you skip fucking cutscenes.

I had no idea carver is with you the whole time until like the middle of the game Isaac is like ''US'' when talking about something that happened to him and on that part with the door I was dumb founded that they put the symbols to open the door on the ground but the symbols would pop up before you even got to the door were they worried people would have to use their brains?

I told you this before but I rage quit DS 2 forever after I tried HC on DS 2 and on that die hard ejector scene part I fucking died. Also did you stay to the end of the credits of DS3?

I'll admit that love triangle with norton and ellie was pretty lame and pointless it really went nowhere other than norton going crazy

Just got my dark souls CE in the mail ^__^

I'm never leaving. I'm stuck here for life. And I don't think any amount of weed would make Perfect Dark Zero enjoyable. :puke:

Darksiders 2 isn't all that great. Kind of disappointing. I'm seriously intrigued by the lore of the universe though, too bad there'll never be another game.

Someone will probably buy the IP. Crytek, I think, already bought Vigil.

Tru dat! PD0 is only for the lolz.

Good to see they unbanned you, Hank. Is Silent and Inu back too?

I just finished playing all 3 Mass Effects. Damn, ME3 was disappointing. Is the DLC any good?

They did, but last I heard they didn't have the IP. I would legit buy it just to make a 2D action game starring one of the other horsemen.
