Yah, this game is really sweet. There really should be a giant disclaimer on the box: "Epileptics should drive a stake through their genitals before they should ever play this game. Seizures abound"

I just bought the game yesterday, and popped it in just to check out the characters since I've never played a Guilty Gear game before. I haven't really sat down to play it yet, so if you want some n00b vs n00b, look me up.

Yeah, a lot of stores in my area have it on their list for the 16th, but never got it in their shipment. I tracked down the last copy at one of the Gamestops in my area.

I got the game the day after I got Fable. Haven't played much. Maybe I'll play it a little later. Is it anything at all like the old Guilty Gear for PS1?
 
Yes, though if i remember correctly, the speed is slightly slower, and the tension meter doesn't become bottomless when you're low on health.
 
I picked it up today and man do I suck. Yesh, I thought I had a passing knowledge of 2D fighting games, but this is embarrassing.

has anyone found this game at best buy? i went there with the intentions of using the $5 off any xbox live software coupon, but they didn't have any copies, and apparently they don't stock the game. i'll probably just end up throwing down and paying the full $20, but as i'm sure many of you can relate to, i'd like to get it cheaper if i could.
 
I found that best buy does not carry it either becasue I was going to use the same coupon. So I went and got it at Gamecrazy because Gamestop and EB were sold out.

I played it twice on live and so far it was really dissappointing. I'm really not the greatest at the game and I experienced some serious lag that just made it unplayable online. I played a quick Arcade Mode to get me in the swing I then jumped online into Lag city.

Anyone getting good game sessions with Live? I really like to lose at full speed. :x

I haven't experienced any bad lag, nothing in the area of CVS2. I suck as well, maybe you and I could play. :lol:

Well I was on it earlier on and I had a good gaming session. We played liked ten games in a row and I think only once we had lag were it affected the game badly. Overall I was happy because I went 8/10 against the other person. :wink:

I hope your kidding by slowed down a bit. Because if that was not lag I was experiencing I would be pretty upset with the online game. :x

That my friend was super slow delayed reaction time on moves and everything. I want to play the game the way it was meant to be played fast and furious. Intense action!

We'll see what happens maybe tonight.
 
I did and I thought I had some issues with Lag on each game. Like I said I'll try a few games tonight and see what happens.

Here hope for no LAG!
 
Wid Wop and I had lag several times, including the choose your character screen. It normally went away in about 10 seconds, though.

Im forced to quit my job at target rite now, so Im gonna treat myself to an early christmas present at the end of the week and buy me an xbox...

I prolly wont hook up the #R live madness for another 2 weeks after that (when I make more cash from my new job). I hope u guy sare still playing by then!

dang tho, w/ my discount I get xbox for $135. buy #R and a 1 year xbox live is $70, and then I gotta buy a converter to use my joystick to play... so expensive...

Right before the 2 month trial ends, you can extend it with a 1 year subscription, so you get an extra 2 months free.
 
Just played some rounds with WildWop, sorry I didnt have my headset in. Have kind of a headcold and sound and feel like shit, hoping GGX2 would cheer me up a bit...no success.
 
JEKKI, what joystick do you have? I could recommend some good converters. It's a mixed bag when it comes to adaptors. Somone are good, some will give delay, some are good with only a hand full of sticks, ect. I even know a few that you can use your headset with, like I do.

BTW, I got that job at Gamerush, yay!
