This was as low as $29.99 last year I believe and will likely get that low again at Black Friday for those that can wait. Surprised they still have these tbh
 
i dont see the appeal of buying collectors edition, esp when the goodies arent special and its barely limited

I bought ghostbusters for 15....sure I didn't get a keychain though
 
Was going to order, but saw a youtube video unboxing the Slimer Edition and it comes in bunch of styrofoam boxes instead of one complete retail package?

Someone tell me it's false!

Edit : Just realized it was from Gamestop, so probably used.

I think I'm going to take my chances.

Edit again : Read through all of the reviews, one of them says all it comes in is a cardboard box... cancelled my ordered! Thanks OP anyways!

Oh no, cardboard! Hit the red button! FWIW the Slimer statue is pretty damn cool, but regardless you can probably do better than $50, I was able to get it for $30 around this time last year, and I'm sure Amazon will drop it again.

Was the main selling point for this edition a big ass box?
 
I always save the box CE/LE come with for display purposes, would like one especially in this case since I already have a regular edition of the game for 360, and the game itself in the CE has the same art cover despite being advertised otherwise.

I generally have zero interest in a "collector's edition" unless it has some type of actual box to tie it all together. Otherwise, it's just the game and a bunch of crap thrown together and I could care less about it. I actually bought this last year for $30 and after playing the game a few times, the rest of the junk it came with just sits in its brown cardboard box.

I should let the developers know that you're willing to buy a bunch of crap with your game as long as it comes with a box then.

Of course, and a bigdaddybruce post in a Ghostbusters thread where he fails to mention that he urged everyone to pre-order this piece of crap at full price because it would definitely be rare and sell out. A year later, still available. How's it feel to be so wrong?

Was that during the Black Friday sale last year? I got one from Amazon for under $30 last year too. The game was great, if you're a Ghostbusters' fan. Its basically the third Ghostbusters movie. The keychain and Slimer statue are cool, but only if you want the items for display, rather than the box. The Slimer statue is decently large, at least.
