Video seems to contradict the article.

Watch the explosion on the PS3 side at 1:18. It's got a lot more going on.

The gamma is a lot better on the PS3 too. There is a larger grey scale. This is especially noticeable at 5:42 and all the screenshots starting at 6:02. Ray basically disappears in the dark at 6:09 on the 360 screenshshot.

The 360 does have a better glowing ember effect on burnt walls. At 4:39. But the cons outweigh the pros in this video.

I think I'm going to wait until I have a better idea which system will be receiving downloadable content.

One thing I wonder about lens of truth is the fact that they use component to compare games.

If they used HDMI would the outcomes be different considering the PS3 uses 1.3 which supports
Q. What’s new in the HDMI 1.3 Specification?

  • Higher speed: Although all previous versions of HDMI have had more than enough bandwidth to support all current HDTV formats, including full, uncompressed 1080p signals, HDMI 1.3 increases its single-link bandwidth to 340 MHz (10.2 Gbps) to support the demands of future HD display devices, such as higher resolutions, Deep Color and high frame rates. In addition, built into the HDMI 1.3 specification is the technical foundation that will let future versions of HDMI reach significantly higher speeds.
  • Deep Color: HDMI 1.3 supports 10-bit, 12-bit and 16-bit (RGB or YCbCr) color depths, up from the 8-bit depths in previous versions of the HDMI specification, for stunning rendering of over one billion colors in unprecedented detail.
  • Broader color space: HDMI 1.3 adds support for “x.v.Color™” (which is the consumer name describing the IEC 61966-2-4 xvYCC color standard), which removes current color space limitations and enables the display of any color viewable by the human eye.
  • New mini connector: With small portable devices such as HD camcorders and still cameras demanding seamless connectivity to HDTVs, HDMI 1.3 offers a new, smaller form factor connector option.
  • Lip Sync: Because consumer electronics devices are using increasingly complex digital signal processing to enhance the clarity and detail of the content, synchronization of video and audio in user devices has become a greater challenge and could potentially require complex end-user adjustments. HDMI 1.3 incorporates automatic audio synching capabilities that allows devices to perform this synchronization automatically with total accuracy.
  • New HD lossless audio formats: In addition to HDMI’s current ability to support high-bandwidth uncompressed digital audio and all currently-available compressed formats (such as Dolby® Digital and DTS®), HDMI 1.3 adds additional support for new lossless compressed digital audio formats Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio™.
and 360 uses 1.2?

Also, they output at 720p even when a game supports 1080p? Which doesn't seem as big a deal to me as the fact that they use component cables instead of HDMI.. I mean the not using HDMI doesn't make a difference when it comes to huge things like missing embers and stuff but I think it definitely would when it comes to saturation and sharpness and color.

Added a link to a unboxing of a Slimer Edition under retail. That statue looks pretty nice to me!

Should have some iphone details up later... No rush for anyone here I bet haha.

Ok the iPhone stuff is up. Didn't post it all, figured no real reason. Anyway, they just knocked off $4 so you can pick this up for 99 cents for a little while. Check the link in the review section to see if it is for you... 4.5/10... die hard fans only I bet though.
