Go see "Walk The Line"

It's hard to take you seriously given your past posts. And your obvious level of maturity, what with all the "Z's" and all. You could try posting specific criticisms of the movie instead of just going LOL IT SUX0RZ ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

This coming from someone whose majority of posts are "THIS HAS BEEN POSTED BEFORE."

You couldn't be any more ironic unless you made a post where you quoted yourself saying REPOST, and then making the message in response to that THIS IS A REPOST.

Now then, given the movie, it WAS boring. Every musician's life is the same and this one is no different. The best thing you can take away from this movie is to learn that it's better to just listen to the music if you like the artist in question, and not waste time learning out their shallow hull of a life.

You want to be a fanboy bitch about it, that's fine. But you don't know shit about me, so I'll ignore your obvious attempt to insult me by drawing upon evidence you clearly do not possess.

The movie was boring. Deal with it.

repost

in all seriousness, if you don't like it, block me. The mods asked for help a while back, and I help out. Where's the crime?

I'm not trying to insult you. I'm trying to say that I doubt you've actually seen the movie, and you've backed up my statement once again by not providing specific details as to why you disliked it. I mean, yeah, you give a "it's boring", but you don't go into specifics about anything to prove that you've actually seen it.

And i'm hardly a fanboy for the movie. I hadn't even listened to too much Cash music prior to seeing the film.

How can I convince someone so clearly intent on not wanting to POSSIBLY believe that someone disliked it?

Johnny Cash wonders around for 2 hours, does a lot of drugs and alcohol, his band is tone deaf mechanics, he flirts around with June Carter, drives a tractor into a lake, and plays in a prison. He talks about prison life nonstop but has never been there (for an honest, extended period of time). There's a lot of religious imagery and reference sprinkled throughout the movie because I guess someone thought that was a good idea. And yes I am aware he was supposedly a big Christian of sorts.

The only thing that remotely interested me was the fact that he bummed around with Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis. It would be difficult to compare that to musicians today, and difficult to bring together such powerhouse performers all at once at any given time in the history of music, barring one time concert situations.

1) He sees his brother die (like Ray).
2) He does drugs and alcohol and cheats on his wife (like Ray).
3) She leaves him (like Ray).
4) He goes through a "cleansing" night (like Ray).
5) He tours around and has family issues (like Ray).

And it continues on for 2+ hours (like Ray) and is horribly, horribly boring (also like Ray).

Because you pegged the genre from the start. You claim that all musical movies are boring and pointless.. I just find it hard to believe that someone who thinks that would pay to go see this movie when they know they'll dislike it.

I don't remember a lot of religious imagery sprinkled in the film. Maybe it was so subtle that I didn't notice it. Same with the prison life, I remember him talking about it a while and a joke his dad made later on, but other than that..

But thank you for providing specific examples. Was that so hard? I don't have a problem with people bashing anything so long as they provide examples to back up their decision (kinda like when a friend voted for Bush because "Kerry is ugly", or when people hate the XB360 because it's made by Microsoft).

Well, personally, I thought Ray was a great movie. I'll probably like this movie, too.

Maybe you should just stay away from these types of movies. Sometimes people tend to draw comparisons to similar types of movies, and it ends up ruining the movie for them before they even see it.

Well, everyone likes different things, anyway, right? :)

I fail to see how which movies I like can be applied to the situation.

Scorch, I appreciate your response. I respect your opinion and understand that you were looking more for proof of an informed opinion. Thank you.

I'm just trying to gauge what you're likes and dislikes are. You say you didn't like Ray or Walk the Line. I'm curious what types of movies entertain you. Are you ashamed or embarassed by the movies you like? Don't be afraid to post them. Instead of the negative I'm asking for the positive.

Generally the question is a trap tactic. No matter what I post, it would end up being ridiculed and saying OMFG WTF U HAV NO TAST and so on.

So I'll only list two - American Beauty and Life Aquatic.

If the situation I proposed does not happen, I will be very surprised.

You mean this?

1) He sees his brother die (like Ray).
2) He does drugs and alcohol and cheats on his wife (like Ray).
3) She leaves him (like Ray).
4) He goes through a "cleansing" night (like Ray).

So you're admitting you didn't see the movie?

I am confused.
Scorch. I have a question. Can you read? I'm not convinced you can.
Fuck off, Strell. I was referring to this:

If the situation I proposed does not happen, I will be very surprised.

I thought you were talking about the list you gave, and you were stating that you'd be suprised if that's not how it went in the movie. Give me a break, it was like 9am when I typed that. I understand what you were saying now.

After a holiday weekend of playing Phoenix Wright, I can't help but cast you in the role of von Karma.

Getting your bitchass owned and handed back to you.

Not once but twice even.

P.S. In case you can't follow the clues (a theory I am now well vested in), this is all the spawn of your custom rank.

For great justice.

fucker.

Yes, this reply is harsh. But I can't let someone telling me to fuck off get away with that now, can I? I think not.

I've enjoyed this virtual pissing contest. No need to continue it.

My wife cracked last night and decided to give me my birthday present early (as I did with her this year).

It was a signed first edition (hardcover) of the autobiography "Cash" that I just read.

 That's why she's the greatest.
