I thought this was a scam at first but I actually got the game overnighted to me from the ebayer. Funny thing though is that it came from walmart.com and invoice said $67 lol. Dont know why but its a great deal for brand new copy overnighted.

I am not allowed to post links but its on ebay and item number is
260581439095 seller has plenty in stock.

I took a chance on a $30 new copy of BioShock 2 from an eBay seller shortly after the game came out. Like you, I got the game two days later from Walmart. However, before I could leave feedback, the seller's profile had been deleted by eBay. The seller's name didn't match the name of the person who sent it to me so somebody out there got scammed - just glad it wasn't me. I contacted eBay about it, but nothing ever happened (at least as far as I know).

I don't think you can get in trouble for it, because you bought it unknowing. BUT if it was to go to court or became a police case i believe they can take it from you as evidence lol... But that's a 99% chance that it will never happen :p

From the looks of it, it appears a new breed of scammer has evolved in ebay. Ones who actually ship the item but at someone elses expense.

That majorly sucks for whose card they're using. Does the invoice give a name and what type of card was used to make the purchase? Maybe someone who bought one can somehow alert the bank or credit card company about it so they can put a hold on the account before too much damage is done.

The invoice has the name and address of the person. No card info. I will write a letter to the person with copy of invoice.

I would never buy from a 0 feedback seller who has multiple copies of a new release game for way cheaper than retail, uses stock pictures, etc.

This is an awesome deal if you want to save some money at the expense of someone else.

I reported the item to ebay yesterday and despite the guy being left two negatives it stays up on ebay continuing to sell

:applause: also 50% positive feedback

Bottom line, if someone is selling a lot of copies of a brand-new game for really cheap, they likely are not legit in the least bit. They either aren't gonna ship you jack, or they are gonna ship you ill-gotten gains. In this case, it becomes more obvious, because the user is new, but don't be fooled by accounts with a lot of feedback, either. The account could have been hijacked, or they were selling cheap crap before to pad their feedback.

I reported this to ebay last week when the item had only sold 11 copies.

A week later and 32 copies later it remains on ebay.

Apparently ebay doesnt care.
