Well, I don't like you THAT much Dropout! However, I do love a GOOD video game deal! I just figure it's not worth arguing. Let's talk about those game deals and leave the rest at home!

Wow nice find op. Wasnt gonna pay the $49.99 for this and then debated on the KB $39.99 sale for the game. But $32.99 I cant pass up. Thanks.

Woohoo and free shipping to boot :)
SD first you post a picture of a fake hand on your GF boobs and then you find this deal... i think you're my new best friend.
That was a pretty good pic! :)

At first it gave me a $4+ ground shipping charge. Its seems one has to log-in in order to see the free shipping applied.

Just a small tip.
bump ahead of the repost ;)
It's a good game, very good presentation of the storyline, great narrative, the art direction is phenomenal. Lots of action throughout, puzzles are plenty but not difficult, great graphics, excellent music, very bloody and nice nudity :) But the game is wayyyy too short; I finished the game in about 7 hours. Although there are plenty of unlockable stuff (videos mostly), replay value is not as great, as the higher difficulties just mean your health bar decreases faster, and all the enemies stay the same (enemy numbers don't increase to scale difficulty level). Still, it's a good buy at any price.

I take it Outpost is reliable? I've never ordered from them before. I'd love to get in on this though. :)

Thanks Dropout!

I'm kinda tempted, but what's keeping me is:

1) The game's short
2) I hear that towards the end of the game, it's really tedious.
3) The demo didn't impress me much and reeked of overrated garbage. Felt like a mediocre DMC without the guns or attitude.

Very tight deal, but due to money constraints I think I'll pass and wait for it to go GH, since it's from a) Sony and b) Very very short

Some notes about Outpost.com:

1) They do all their shipping through DHL, even the cheapest ground shipping.
2) Even if you plan on ordering once from them, set up a user ID and password, it makes dealing with their customer service easier.
3) For the most part, their customer service tends to be a little understaffed, so sometimes getting to them on the phone takes a little while.
4) They charge tax for customers in a number of states, normally anywhere they have a Fry's.
5) You need to make sure that you select the standard shipping option to get the "free" shipping, it doesn't let you take a discount when picking the 2-day or overnight options.

I've made maybe a dozen orders from them, and they all were pretty much without issues. Nothing major, certainly.

I have no idea why many, many ppl compare GOW to DMC. GOW and DMC definitely plays different at least IMO. GOW is closer to POP, since it has a lot more death traps, and have to interact with the game enviornment a lot more - like 3D platforming games. DMC is simple straight up button smasher, and you don't find dante swing on ropes, climbing rocks or fall into lava.

Anyways, the game feels short, and replay value isn't high eough for me. In the end it does feel tedious, some areas might be very frustrating to certain gamers. This is one of those games I think a lot of ppl can just rent it and beat it within one week. I personally like it a lot and how the game has high productive value. The animation of the hydras... some scene in game, beautiful enviornmnet.. art work.. etc. Everything is well done. Good game.

Awesome. I ordered. The fact that it is short is what I'm most looking forward to. All games should be 5-10 hours.

okay fine, so it's more like POP... which also wasn't even that great a game.

while i do like the occasional 60+ RPG...i think that if a lot of games were cut down to 5-10 hours, a lot of the bullshit would be cut out...which might make for more solid games...hence this game being really good....every good game is always too short....thats why it's good...the longer the game, the higher the chances are for the game to be boring, repetitive and buggy...just my opinion

Exactly. All games should be 5-10 hours and $30 MSRP and leave you wanting more. I'd be more inclined to buy a game I know I'll finish in 1 or 2 weeks of playing an hour at a time than a game like GTA that takes forever - I'll never finish something like that simply because it is too long...

Damn! For not liking you at first, Dropout, you do have some good opinions on games. I do agree that a LOT of games are too long. They spend more time on length and NOT enough on quality.

Whoever said that POP wasn't that good of a game, I disagree. I think POP is a very WELL done game!

Ordered, thanks TSD!

And javeryh, I do enjoy shorter games because I get to see more of the story before I quit them. Seriously no matter the length of a game I always lose interest way before it's over unless it's simply spectacular.

I'm right there with you. There's just too much quality out there and since I like games in most genres I try to play everything instead of concentrating on finishing each game I pick up. No one wants to watch a 40 hour movie and I don't want to play a 40 hour game. If games were 5-10 hours and $20-$30 I'd be playing and finishing a lot more of them. I'd even rather pay $20 for the first third of a 30 hour game that was complete in and of itself but left you hanging for the next two sequels.

If you read The Green Mile when it was originally published you would know what I mean... 6 books, one story, 100 pages per book, released a month apart, $2.99 each. I ended up paying almost $20 for a softcover book that would only cost $6 if bought together. I couldn't wait for the next book in the series to come out each month to learn what happened next and the publisher made more money on it in the end. I'd love something like that, only in video game form.

This is a great game. It is short though, but extremely enjoyable while it lasts. I was not ready for it to be over at the end. Also, the end seems somehow anti-climactic. Also, the timed button presses at certain parts of the game can be extremely annoying. However, if you didn't like the demo, you won't like the game.

Sweet deal - Thanks OP!

MY .02 on short games: If the game is quality, I really dont mind if its short. From what I have read, GOW has a good amount of replayability, so I doubt if I will mind the fact that the game is on the short side. Also, I have a 11 month old son, so the time that I have for gaming is VERY limited. An eight hour game will take me a coule of weeks to finish.

Mine's not coming... they are out of stock but promised it within 30 days. I think I might cancel... in 30 days it might be had for $20 - you never know....
