A collector's edition for God of War: Ascension has appeared on Amazon.

The edition, available for pre-order now or $79.99, features an 8-inch Kratos Statue, steelbook case, avatars, dynamic theme, soundtrack, a pass for "all future DLC releases" and code for double multiplayer XP.

This may be one of the best CE's I'd seen in awhile. You get ALL future DLC, and a statue a steelbook case and more and it's $79.99 instead of what I believe most CE's this gen are $99.99?

Just noticed release date not until March 2013, I was thinking it came out this year. But anyway for those who like to preorder ahead of time...I may lock one up myself soon.
What dlc came after god of war 3 released to justify all these "well getting all the dlc sold me"?
From what I recall they were just costumes IF anything, not sure if it was just bonus DLC if you pre-ordered.

BUT this game has online multiplayer, so you know they'll have new characters/maps to play which is why this has more interest to some.

There probably is hope for a lot of dlc because Jaffe is not doing it and he is anti-dlc for his games.
so this isnt coming to the US then? I sure as hell am not going to order a spanish version.
The Omega Edition is exclusive to Latin and Central America.
wouldn't it have a way to change language audio like every other game...:dunce:

if not i'll still get it - i am bilingual.
Usually, only European PS3 games get more than one language... but that's a good point nonetheless; maybe they just left the English voicework and used Spanish subtitles or something for the Central/South American releases.

Jaffe didn't have anything to do with GoW3 and Asmussen said that many parts of the game were cut. And yet, the only DLC we got were some skins. Sucks that we'll never see the removed Atlas fight (assuming it was true) and the additional epilogue content.

Didn't know their is/will be a version of GOW with Spanish audio. Let's hope more details will surface and one of use will figure out a way order the god damn thing.

The omega edition its for latin america only, it will most likely come with english and spanish subtitles, as always. However that edition does not come with god of war ascension, its just all the god of war games that have been released so far.
The statue was made by an argentinian artist ( Im from argentina)
I will probably get the edition myself, and i will let you guys know

Jaffe didn't direct any GoW after the first one. The reason people are amped up for this one is because the DLC will more than likely pertain to multiplayer only. Besides Challenge of Exile (which were trials), no GoW has ever had DLC where they've expanded the single player experience.

Everyone has high hope that this one will not be disappoint, unlike GoW III's CE that mostly included digital content in the NA version.

Maybe Kratos is a Spainard.

I have a contact that can obtain the Omega Edition for me. The cost is 2,500 Mexican Pesos, which at current exchange rates is about $186. This does not include shipping to the US, most likely bumping the cost to over $200. Anyone think it's worth getting at this price?

I'd wait and see what happens with that for other regions first. It's still got a long ways to go 'till release.

The problem is that the preorder needs to be placed by Saturday. So, I kind of need to make a split second decision on it and I'm not sure what to do.
