God of War Collection $29.99 EB/BB/Walmart/Amazon.ca [Canada]

The $9.02 CND shipping to my house (which is fucking weird since I live less than 11km away from the shipping center) really kills this deal.
 
Kathos, I usually just go through the site and look for a cheap game, movie or book myself or someone else in the house wants to get the total over $39. If your just buying one thing yes the shipping charges are painful.

Ironic...I'm way away from the Mississauga shipping center and my shipping cost is $5. PM-ing FS though :)
 
Maybe I will use Swagbucks Amazon.ca giftcards for this game, I don't know yet, too big baglog to pay games with $ / amazon.ca credit!!!

Rumors of this game being 24.99 new at EBgames, says some guy from Moncton N-B on RFD, can anyone confirm/deny this?

Not according to their website, which is generally updated fairly quickly with pricing. Maybe check the website tomorrow to make sure?

Ask them to scan the barcode? Mine scanned at 24.99, I don't think you'll have any problems.
 
Still too expensive for me. I have working PS2 versions of GoW1 and GoW2. I'd buy it for $20 or less. Wouldn't mind replaying them one more time before GoW3.
 
Lets face it, this release was just a stepping stone for PS3 users waiting for GOW3. As we get closer to its release date, it only seems natural to lower the price of the Collection to get last minute people to buy it, which in turn, will get more people interested in GOW3.

I figure shortly after the GOW3 release, the Collection will be new for $19.99 everywere. (Don't quote me on that)

Am I the only one who thought it was already priced $29.99? That's what I got it at just before Christmas. Assumed that was the regular price

I recant my outburst of a certain celebrity, since I wouldn't have been able to get it at $24.99 on time :)
 
I picked this up at Futureshop today. They had two copies still priced at $39.99, and a bunch of others at $29.99. The difference was the $29.99 apparently don't include the GOW3 demo code--or, at least it's not indicated on the front cover.

The $39.99 one (with GOW3 demo) still rang up as $29.99 though, so if anyone is getting this with the hope of getting the demo as well, I'd act fast.
 
Probably going to bite on this at EB when I get around to getting in there again. Dammit, two things now, between this and Red Faction going to spend another $45 on top of paying off Dante's Inferno. Ahhh well.
