Godhand Discussion Thread - The 1,000 hit bitch slap

I took the Japanese version for a spin (DLed it to demo it.) Can't believe I haven't picked this up yet.

Why wasn't there a huge, ceremonius welcoming of the first good beat em up since...the early 90s?

still need to get this... it's a high want for me, but I keep forgetting about it.
I tried to love this game, I really did. I just can't see why they did the camera the way they did
it's weird at first, but I kinda like it. Keeps the action close and like a real fight, you have to be aware of your surroundings. Cause I've been in a lot of fights in post-apocalyptic wild west towns and would know!

It's a fun beat-em-up. I liked everything about it. Did it have 2 player co-op? If it did, then it's the perfect game for fans of the genre.

finally got it and I'll say I get tired playing it... literally tired since it requires alot of button mashing on the 'O' button >_< love it so far though... games need more poison chihuahuas.

You're not Alexander!

okay, I'm playing through for real this time :)

I'm halfway through the game and I need to finish it. i really enjoy it but it's not like I have other stuff to play...

Hahaha I forgot how great the ending credits were. I was literally laughing the whole time I watched it. The japanese version is pretty funny too even though I have no idea what he's saying.

Is it just me or are the characters designed by the same person who designed Lost Planet and Dead Rising's characters? The models in this game are awesome for the PS2. A little anti-aliasing and a few more polys and they would pass for low-grade next gen models. Of course, the game has some of the sparsest environments of any game in recent memory as a result :)

count Monster Hunter as well since the design in that mirrors alot in God Hand...

It's surprising if it is. The characters in Dead Rising were some of the ugliest characters ever. Haven't seen Lost Planets characters really though.

I love how Luka still shows off her cleavage even though they're in a sub-zero climate. oh, designers...she couldn't just be a woman who happened to be on the team? She had to be yet another sex symbol

gotta keep those nipples erect!

as for game models, I'm 90% sure the new Devil May Cry 4 has the same character modeler as Lost Planet and Dead Rising... not that I don't like it but Capcom needs to not give all the work to one guy >_
