GOG Deals Thread

Neither my actual game key, nor the in-game key redeem on GOG for me.
Did you try it with all caps, and the dashes? Some folks had to do that to get it to work.

If it doesn't, you should probably contact support...

You can now redeem the retail keys for "select" games on GOG. It says that it only works on retail Boxed copies, but I managed to redeem the Steam CD keys for Stalker: Call Of Pripyat & Clear Sky. There's no CD key for Shadow Of Chernobyl on steam, so out of luck there.

Mount & Blade Fire & Sword gave me an invalid code message though. So I guess they ain't kidding about it only working with Retail Boxed copies for that. I don't own the other games, so i couldn't try them.

Oh and there's also some deals on a few games in honor of GOG introducing Russian language support.
I redeemed a Clear Sky key and received a receipt for 2.49$, is that wrong? or did I really pay for it?

FWIW...

Clear Sky - redeemed (from Steam)
Call of Pripyat - no worky (from Steam)
Shadow of Chernobyl - no worky (from Amazon THQ bundle)

MysterD just wet his pants.

I didn't even know toasters wore pants.

Can I play too?

Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat (both from Steam) - Redeemed on GOG

Shadow of Chernobyl (also from Steam...had to dig into Windows Registry to get key) - No Redeemy on GOG

Now I'm curious.

Did you buy the games you can't redeem in the Steam store, or did you redeem a key from the recent Bundle Stars bundles?

Clear Sky (the one that didn't redeem) was bought directly from Steam. I think it might be an issue with their database not including all the gamespy keys.

All mine were bought directly from Steam and only the first one didn't work. I also bought that one like 6 years ago though and the other two later.

I was thinking something similar - as in "Stuff bought before THQ went out of business would work, stuff bought after GSC Game World took over would not" because of all keys not being in their system.

ETA: Fox's purchase says otherwise so it's not the case.

For me, SOC worked with the "multiplayer network key" trick and clear sky directly from steam cd key. The latter came with a 2.49 receipt while the former came with a FREE receipt.

Yeah, I know what they say but my Stalker game wasn't a physical edition key just like a lot of people here.
I meant the Mount & Blade ones. :p

Stalker keys are all sorts of messed up, hope all you guys will get your games working.

My retail copies of Clear Sky and Shadow of Chernobyl worked fine. What's funny is the US retail version of Shadow of Chernobyl is DRM free, but Clear Sky has Tages.

The copy of Clear Sky that my "Polish friend" gifted me worked fine, while my Steam CD key for Clear Sky didn't. Thanks GOG for encouraging me to make new "friends"

My copy of STALKER: Call of Pripyat from the old Stardock Impulse days for Digital downloads worked + activated-up on GOG. :D

My retail boxed DVD copy of STALKER: Clear Sky activated up on GOG just fine.

My retail boxed DVD copy of STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl activated up on GOG just fine, also.

My Steam version's CD-Keys for Mount + Blade: Warband + With Fire & Sword did NOT activate on GOG.

No luck for me on either CoP or Clear Sky.  Both bought from Steam iirc.  I have a retail SoC and will try the key from that later.

Yeah well I got my copy of Shadow Of Chernobyl directly from steam. So where's your Messiah now, Moses?

My Steam keys for Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat worked on GOG. My Shadow of Chernobyl key did not work.

All 3 were bought directly through the Steam store.

same, i got that other key from the poles
Is that so? Kudos to you. Unfortunately, I got shut out.

After seeing Spoder's post in the Steam thread, I thought I'd give it a shot. I googled CD Action and installed Hola after seeing that it was Pol only site. I set my region to Polish for that site and tried to create an account (because it looked like it was necessary). I instantly got some message that I was forbidden.

Truthfully, I've just about reached my limit of how much I'll do to get this damn game on GOG. But if there is some simple trick that I've overlooked, do tell.

EDIT: You know what, never mind. I don't even really care any more.

BUNDLETOWER SALE just started.  Looks like a few different bundles every day this week.  Typical GOG discounts (buy everything, get "better" deal).

Today's Bundles:
Hasbro D&D Immortals - $21.10 (80% off, or 60% off if buying individually)

Divine Trilogy - $6.37 (80% / 60%)

Lucasfilm Adventures - $6.57 (70% / 50%)

Broken Sword Saga - $13.25 - (74% / 60%)

edit: Tried to update the OP wiki so the title could be changed, then realized that the second post is the wiki'd one. So that's useful.

Seems like they could have at least put the second Indiana Jones game in the Lucasfilm bundle.

Would any one want Secret of Monkey Island for $2.99?  I only need the other two from the Lucasfilm bundle.

Durr, I have Tales, not Secret.  Nevermind.

Damn, was excited about the Lucasfilm bundle when I looked while at work. Hadn't realized Gog was doing the usual buy more, save more deal. I already have Indy and Monkey Island on Steam and don't need second copies of them.

Did you try it in your cart? I thought sometimes they would adjust the price of items you don't have in the bundle if you own the rest of the bundle.

Also, is the D&D the "complete" bundle they usually have and at the lowest price it has been?
