I vouch for Spellforce and Sacred Gold. Spellforce is a cross between an RPG and a RTS, I had a lot of fun with it even though I'm not a huge RTS guy.

I already bought Sacred Gold from them...I remember when Stonekeep came out and was a high end game! :D

Hmm...Spellforce seems kind of neat. And we all know I need more games for the backlog ;)

Stonekeep is one of those games I should have gotten back in the day. Even the box was cool. I think I ended up buying something else at the time. Darn my younger broker self.

It looks way too dated to enjoy now though I think.

In for Sacred, which I loved years ago. Thanks OP! I'm loving these GOG sales. Gonna end up spending a lot of nostalgia bucks if they keep em coming.

Personally I didn't like it when I (finally) played it a few years back. Maybe if I'd played it right away, I don't know.

Septerra Core is being compared to Final Fantasy on those Metacritic reviews..

......I'm very tempted.

and Spellforce reminds me of Warcraft 3's dungeon crawling missions. Would that be a fair comparison?

I love Final Fantasy 1-10 + 12 (haven't played 13 yet). Point is I like all of them...and I didn't like Septerra Core, soooooooo beware, for what that's worth :whistle2:D

Of course it's not like you're out much money!

Even at that price I recommend against Septerra Core. I got it for $5 years ago from the cheap PC game shelf. While it starts out okay, it starts to drag and is rather slow paced. Even in college, when I had few games and tons of time, I could never get far before getting bored and quitting to play something else.

Cool to here that Sacred's good! I was impressed with it when I played the demo at launch-looked amazing at least for 5 years ago or whatever it was too.

Im in for stonekeep, cant beat 2.99 really. I got the email but thanks for the reminder.

I love gog anyway since they dont do drm, the games you download is the full .exe so you can back it up and install it again anywhere you want much as you want, they make the stuff work in newer operating systems before releasing it.

Gog is a great site, Im really hoping they start getting alot more obscure games.

Highly recommend Sacred Gold -- it's a huge world with lots to do, I like it more than Diablo as it feels "more RPG" even though it's still in the hacknslash genre.

I own Septerra Core but never got far in it. Definitely a console inspired RPG. I was in college at the time so I had a lot of distractions.

Stonekeep I played for the first time a couple years ago. I think it's time I bought it.

I like that some of the games on this promo have tons of extras, that's always such a nice bonus for a $5 purchase.

"Guess I should ask-does Stonekeep work okay in 64-bit Windows 7?"

Just bought it and played it and it works fine. Runs in dosbox, but they automatically configure it so it is seemless to you as the installer takes care of all of that.
