I just signed, but did not received any confirmation message or anything. I am not sure if it did go through. Are you receiving any confirmation message or e-mail or something?

I received a confirmation for the sweepstakes after signing up.
 
Do you typically need a facebook account for stuff like this? I don't have one and entered my email and was still directed back to there homepage like it said it would. Heres hoping it works, and would be sweet if it's on the whole cart.

It's not a sweepstakes, you get one no matter what. I think you are thinking about the sweepstakes on their facebook which is different.

And according to the FB page it's only for video games.

They always do when the % gets this low. But never enough to counteract. You still end up 20%+ in the right direction, some games much more.
 
Seriously, why would anyone ship via UPS Mail Innovations? Why not just go straight through USPS? My order has been to my city for 2 days now, and it won't be delivered til Thursday because it's now processed from UPS to USPS. Definitely not Innovative.

Once in a while you get a good deal. About 3 months ago I got halo reach for $12.

This is always thrown around in the gohastings deal threads, and it is just not the case. Sure on some games the price goes up, on others it drops. Follow prices on their site for awhile and you will see that there are big fluctuations in prices daily, on all sorts of items. I assume it has to do with the stock on hand, and probably some more complicated math stuff (similar to AWD). When sales hit the prices probably go up because there are fewer items in stock, and they sell them faster. You know, the supply and demand thing.
 
Bah, most of the games I want aren't available now. I doubt they'll be available by the time the sale hits. I might be skipping this one.

To the post above, ya I did cool down a little bit because I do have a few more games that I want to buy. 20% off was a pretty good deal and 40% is even better. So win-win.

What is the difference between a "preveiously viewed" ps3 game and a "used" ps3 game.

Used = Trade-In
Previously Viewed = Rental

Used are copies the store bought from customers. Previously viewed are copies they rented out.

Of course, whether you get a complete copy and the condition of the disc are luck of the draw. But most people here, including myself, agree that used games are typically better condition and the ones you want to select.

One or two used dvds I've purchased recently had a Hastings barcode sticker on the inner circle. This leads me to believe they may have converted some of their previously viewed stock to used or someone traded in a previously viewed copy.

I would imagine this is the case.

"Converting" from previously viewed to used would be pretty shady considering they explicitly state what each condition is on the site.
