Yeah, but internet forums are more of a conversational arena, not a published medium. I wasn't sure which one was more correct. I'll take your word for it, though.

Well, technically, slander is spoken, libel is written, but I'm not really sure how they apply to a forum like this. Defamation of character would be a more apt description. It would cover either possibility.
